Yes it’s bonded onto the OSB with black mastic adhesive. I built the subframe with a support rail on the bottom to hold the J-Mold in place for an extra strong hold. As for the whole subframe, I have some footage of how I constructed it. Just working on editing and putting together a follow up video for more details, so stay tuned.
Wow, just so impressive! In your list, I didn't see the mats that you used for the floor. Would you recommend what you used and if so, can you include a link?

Nice job. Particularly, I don’t like garage gym, but this one is the best I’ve seen. Good taste and preparation, it really changed, unlike others who spend $20K buying expensive equipment and then just throw it all in a garage, rather making it look like an industrial storage
Thanks bro! Really appreciate it! Just uploaded a little follow up tour video. Sorry for the late response, glad to be back to share some more and looking forward to responding back to y’all! Thanks so much for the support and feedback! ✌🏼🙌🏼
Yes exactly right! Mine was nearly just half that investment cost. Roughly about 10k total, just the essentials, no need for all the extra expensive equipments. 💯💪🏼
We won't have a house with a garage for at least 9 months but that isn't stopping me from planning my gym, and this video still gets me the most hyped for doing my own out of all transformations i've seen . Looking forward to the follow up video! I take it the walls were plastered before you started work? They look really smooth!
That’s exciting to hear Dean! Planning is key, so have fun with it. Because once you get those keys, it’s time to execute the plan! 💪🏼 Can’t wait to put together the follow up video, thank you all for being so patient. Btw the walls came finished (texturized) and painted from the builder, so I just painted black right over it. 👌🏼

Just laid next to each other, doesn’t move because my entire garage is floor matted. But if you want to stick it together, you can use mending plates under or black gorilla tape on top between seams.

Looks really cool. Garage are too cold in the winter time so I moved my gym to basement. Do you get cold in the garage or do you have a extreme heating system installed? I ended up making my own squat rack and bench (flat and incline adjustment) out of wood that can easily be dismantle in a minute for storage, cost next to nothing, with tires and rim as weights (40lbs each) Now I'm waiting to get home gym like Hoist Mi1 or life fitness G2.

how did you install that mirror? is it glued to the OSB? Wish you went into more detail about how you constructed that whole frame too.
idd
Yes it’s bonded onto the OSB with black mastic adhesive. I built the subframe with a support rail on the bottom to hold the J-Mold in place for an extra strong hold. As for the whole subframe, I have some footage of how I constructed it. Just working on editing and putting together a follow up video for more details, so stay tuned.
Wow, just so impressive! In your list, I didn't see the mats that you used for the floor. Would you recommend what you used and if so, can you include a link?

Horse stall mats from your local tractor store. Usually runs about $40 per mat. 4x6 feet each. Heavy and strong rubbery smell. Helps to air out or wash with simple green.

one of the nicest garage gyms ive seen so far!!!
Thanks, appreciate it!!
Wow just wow
WOW!! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!
Where did you get the brick background and what is it called? You have a nice gym!
This is super dope and inspirational! Can’t wait to put my home gym together, hopefully it comes out half as nice as this one!

Hey Aaron absolutely AMAZING home gym setup! Do you think you can do a detailed breakdown/tour vid of your garage gym? From gym equipment to lighting/electrical? I plan on doing something similar, just in a much smaller space. Thanks!

For the big mirror, I didn’t get to go into detail as much in the video but It’s a basic wall mount setup, made my own J frame wall mount from 2x3 and 2x4 wood studs. Mirror is mounted with some mirror adhesive and also an aluminum J frame on the bottom. Black frame around mirror is wood framing I added in. Mirror is from a company I found on OfferUp.
Can you tell us some information about the floor? How much did you buy it, where did you buy it from? how many millimeters is it? did you stick it to some material? thank you very much, great job

Just laid next to each other, doesn’t move because my entire garage is floor matted. But if you want to stick it together, you can use mending plates under or black gorilla tape on top between seams.

So fresh and clean looks so professional. Did you get the brick wall backing from Home Depot?
Thanks so much! I got mine at Lowes but Home Depot also has the same brick wall backing, just has a more lighter/reddish tone.
What black paint did you use? Brand?
How did you hang the mirror to the wood frame? Did you use adhesive or did the wood stick out enough to use retainer clips? Please do tell, I'm having trouble hanging a big mirror for my gym

@@aaronjayfit8173 ive shared it on the home gym uk forum on Facebook. I'm puzzled how it doesn't have more views, but its only a matter of time I reckon!
