Wasn't aware this was even a thing but I agree, that mantlet is sharp looking. But I admit i also find the appearance of steel wheels on a T-34 satisfying, especially mixed sets.
The death and suffering in this war, in this front in particular, was just beyond comprehension.

It's quite ironic that in the early stages of the war on the Eastern front, quality totally trumped quantity......but then the absolute opposite held true at the end ; An unstoppable force rammed into an immovable mountain!

And also had stupid levels of logistical support In terms of motorisation and artillery
I wouldn't say the Soviets had poor quality at the end of the war. That's if you are looking at like just tanks and only measuring them based on how many tanks they kill on a one to one basis. That isn't the only jobs tanks do, and that wasn't the only weapon the war was fought with, whatever you may hear.
What is the difference between the STZ T-34 from 1941/42 and the 1942/43 version?
Well I can clearly see the early style single piece hatch which I doubt they would be using in 1943. The steel road wheels without rubber tires were only used for the first year emergency production.
