Rebuilding Stock Puch Maxi Forks (Purple Maxi pt.3)

This bike arrived in the post as just a frame (I couldn't resist buying it because it was CHEAP!). I'm rebuilding it from a couple of scrap Maxis I have, whilst trying to keep it original enough to keep the DVLA happy.
So far I've de-rusted the tank and rebuilt the engine, and today I'm sorting out the forks

Thank you for making this video. It will help immensely when I go to put my forks together tomorrow morning. I attempted to figure it out on my own, but aborted out of frustration. They fell apart during a wheelie attempt earlier on.

I dismantled the forks on my orange maxi n, only to discover someone decided to take it off roading as the ones of springs was completely mangled

I tried to do this too. But I needed a new spring for the fork. But it doesn't fit... De spring is a little longer (which isn't a disaster) but it is also wider, the diameter is wider than my fork. How is this possible and what do I do now?
