These videos feel so surreal because I remember being 15 hearing about this dude since I read Sports Illustrated constantly and now it’s just a speck of dust out of the many things that have happened but I still remember them. Feels like the theme from Up is perfect for these moments.

Gunners disappointing career can be summed up by 3 things:
    1) Lack of Consistency
    2) Tommy Tuberville
    3) Opioids (Rumored as to why he missed the Hawaii Bowl)
You should also look into Tuberville’s Cincy players and their opioid usage. This was all the talk and discussion towards the end of Tommy’s shitty career (and he told us in the student section to go to hell).

As a ND fan I remember him well, he should’ve stayed at ND. Golson was academically ineligible in 2013, and as much of a gamer as Rees was he was limited, interception prone and didn’t have the job locked up (had already lost his 2011 starting job to Golson in 2012). On an unrelated note, Kiel wen from 18 to 30 years old in college (those pics 😅).

When you’re a top recruit and set to run the program, you don’t sit and wait for an opportunity. They should have given him the opportunity, even if it were a few snaps in the beginning.

The Irish have had a lot of top prospects that just seemed to disappear. I remember when Kiel first came in. Notre Dame has another highly recruited running back named Davonte’ Neal. In the spring they said he was explosive and that he would be taking over punt return duties. After that though I never seemed to hear about him again. I enjoyed the video though. Go Irish!

I love ND and thought this guy had potential. Rees was a game manager but Golson showed hope so makes sense he got buried. Also dont hate on Book, Book forced a top recruit to transfer already since Book was better. Hope he is doing well. Please do Michael Floyd from ND. Same. I've heard that Gunner's dad (also an IU alum) demanded that his brother Dusty (who was at IU at the time) start or else Gunner would decommit. But seems more likely Dusty saw what was going on behind the scenes and told Gunner to stay away.

Very accurate as a Cincinnati fan. Days when he woke up on the right side of the bed he would have near perfect games. Days he woke up on the wrong side of the bed he looked less than mediocre and played that way. Very inconsistent. One week he’d break school/conference records. The next week he couldn’t complete a successful play to save his life.
