Thanks for the video! I didn't know Brother printers had an enclosure for the toner cartridges! The old one was a huge cartridge, the new one was tiny. I thought they sold me the wrong toner, but confirmed it was correct on Brother's page, then I was really confused. Cheers!
I am embarrassed to say that I tried to take the cartridge out the back. My son told me to watch a TH-cam video. You were right on top. I did what you did and it prints great. THANKQ so much.

Sorry for the late response, and I am no expert just a simple guy sharing some knowledge. I would only recommend that yes don't shake it and try not to touch the ink roller "maybe wear gloves if you don't like scrubbing" haha.. Have a blessed holiday! Steve

For those wondering how he did it so easily make sure the "brother" logo is up. Was struggling with mine for 15 minutes and it clicked in when i flipped it in seconds.

On the brother toner replacement packaging it says "drum unit corona wire cleaning is required every time you replace the toner cartridge" Here it shows the cleaning: th-cam.com/video/pl8N2H0p-sg/w-d-xo.html If it still persists, did you get a cheap knock off cart? The knock off carts may have trouble with getting some lighter printing correct.
Sorry the late reply. I'm sure you've figured it out by now but try adjusting the ink settings to darken. I had the same problem but it went away after turning the tone color up. Hope this helps!

No do ever have problems with aftermarket toner In brother printers? aftermarket stuff bricked my HP printer.

I’ve replaced my toner just like this, but the pages still print dull and stripey - same model printer. Any guesses?
