I actually heard somewhere that there is a track of a kid crying that is played during the film. Idk if it's true or not but I swear I heard it in Animal Kingdom last year. It seemed amplified and like the theater didn't have as many kids that were moving at all in a way that would make me think they are crying.
When I went on this on my last trip, it got stopped. The Hopper Audio-Animatronic started gushing fluid from his neck, and the show stopped a few seconds later when the CM saw it. Was pretty weird to see an Animatronic actually break during a show cycle.
I was 4 and I had to leave the theatre I was crying and screaming so bad. Literally led to a lifelong phobia of bugs.... especially bugs turning giant.
Just saw this show for the first time in person a week ago and I had no idea what to expect and I have to say it f***ed with me!!!! I WAS NOT prepared for the smoke, water, being poked in the back and butt and giant spiders falling from the ceiling.
At the end I could understand that people were screaming because it feels like bugs crawling out from underneath their butts, but I didn't get scared from that when I tried this out at Disney World.
Went on this in Florida. Literally jumped out of my seat and stood the rest of the show after the wasp sting. Tried banging on the exit doors and couldn't escape. It was traumatizing
HAHAHA thats nuts! Last time the seat I was on didn't work so I put my hand on the one next to me and felt the bugs crawling. It is actually like a wave effect rippling the seat like a solid wave machine.
Sad to know this show was cancelled..me and my kids are going to Disney's California Adventure tomorrow...I remember watching this in 2010..at the end when the bugs exited It scared the crap out of me I almost dropped my camera..
This scared me so badly as a child when I did it at Animal Kingdom (I was about 6 or 7) I refused to watch any movie that involved bugs, specifically A bugs life and Antz. Didnt watch them again until I was maybe 9 or 10 ish. Still makes me uncomfortable.
I remember this ride as a kid lol seeing the adults jump up in the rows behind me during the stingers lol i jumped up before it got to me 😂😂 my whole family had it happen to them though it really was and still is a good show.
When I went to this attraction at Disney World the Hopper animatronic didn't look like he was lined up correctly because when we entered the theater, I turned to the hole where he hopped out and I couple see the top of his head! And when he hopped out, his feet weren't lined up with the floor so he was floating about 3 inches and you could see the supports for his feet! I thought it was funny.
Re-tape this one, and put the bug glasses over the lens of the camera. It works well and wont have the double effect from 3D. Other wise great job, YET again!
It’s 2023 I wonder how this space translated to Avenger’s campus. RIP to this attraction - it was a big part of my visits as a kid ❤ so fun, ESPECIALLY the bugs under the seat!!! But 7:37 Hopper was sorta scary! But so amazing now! Screen and animatronic interaction, amazing as an adult now
my arachnophobia is so bad that I can't even handle these spiders. I barely remember them because the moment I saw them for the first time as a tiny little thing, I hid my face and never looked up again when we went to see this. I can't handle spiders ugh
I went to see this with the whole 5th grade classes, it was a memorable thing from my childhood lol. This and Soaring California were my two favorites 😍🥹
9:22 Hopper: nothing can stop bugs... HAH! NOTHING! Me: then why is my friend steve (the chameleon) behind you looking for a snack? (steve snatches up hopper)
Bruh, my grandma knew I loved this movie so I was juiced to go. As soon as they sprayed me in my face, I ran out the building.. it was too real man lol. Then my sister mentioned the seats doing stuff too? Idk.. I just randomly remembered this ride and 3:30 hit me vividly.
Miss DCA's version. The animatronics and the fog effect always seemed better-maintained, not to mention the Flea animatronic actually having some movement compared to Animal Kingdom's.
What the heck I didn’t know ppl hated this attraction this was one of my favorites/most memorable attraction at Disneyland, I’m also not afraid of bugs so that’s probably why
Personally I hated it because of my arachnophobia, kind of a deal breaker for me. Otherwise, the effects, attention to detail, quality of the animatronics, and the lasting impact this attraction had were hella impressive. I saw this when I was 5/6 and I think this attraction is what manifested my arachnophobia lmao.
Ironically Though I been to Disney World more times, I saw this more in Cali because it was brand new when I had an involuntary financial related break from Disney for 15 years. The entrance is far less spectacular but for the small park it was something well themed to do. It was one of the original attractions here and one of the few opening day attractions that had a Disney level theming feel to it. There was no Tower, no Radiator Springs, there was no Ariel, there was no toy story mania, it was just this, Muppets, and Soarin' that reached that level. The rest felt like Six Flags. Or so I hear, I wasn't there until 2015 but I read a very detailed article on Mouse planet at the time called Half Park Full Price. I have since not been able to locate an archive of it.
To be honest they shoulda turned this into a Tinkerbell Pixie Hollow attraction the theming would have fit. I'm not all that big on the Avengers Campus I find it really cheap to theme anything on technical headquarters or military installations because it requires you to just build a regular everyday building and slap a few ip specific in universe words on them. It's like OOOO It's Tony Stark's Distribution warehouse ooooo Is this a theme park or Kearney NJ?
Unfortunately Avengers Campus is looked down upon entirely by the toxic Disney Parks fandom and critics who try to brainwash others and say “there needs to be more hardcore angry reviews on Avengers Campus” I mean, I can respect people’s opinions if they don’t like AC, and I do wish the land could’ve been better if it wasn’t for Chapek’s cheap Theme Park ways, but it’s not entirely as bad as most people say it is IMO.
Why is the hell is Spider-Man web shooters the replacement? They shouldn’t have replaced it at all at California Adventure. I wanted my daughter to have fun, she did but this would’ve completed the experience.
TH-cam, if you're seeing this video please age-restrict this video! We need you guys! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WE'RE BEGGING Y'ALL! The kids were afraid! 🙏🙏🙏
When i was five, i started screaming hysterically because of this and had to leave early. It's amazing but i do not recommend it to people with a fear of bugs! Hahaha

We were waiting for dinosaur at disney land/world but I didn't go on dinosaur. So the lady was like" Oh your kids will love its is tough to be a bug. But I ended up screaming. I thought that was real acid.
I'm arachnophobic, and I think I shat 14 colors of fear when I saw this show and Chili came out.
+quiktymevideo LOL, Dude.
Yeah I went for my birthday last week and I agree with you.
thenamestheygivearedumb I hate spiders unless its Spider-Man
You mean 14 worlds of color? (Get it world of color)
I remember going on this with my mom when I was little. It made me scared of bugs and developed arachnophobia….
I still love this film.
I actually heard somewhere that there is a track of a kid crying that is played during the film. Idk if it's true or not but I swear I heard it in Animal Kingdom last year. This is on the only Disney attraction that is on my "Fuck this shit, I'm out" list.
Shelby Beeimus lmaoooo
the only attraction that gives a few good ol disney scares, i wish they made more attractions like this:\
Kids like you ar pathetic lol.
You ain't brave by calling stuff not scary lol
I sooo Agree! They've been playing it too safe. I mean the Frozen ride has drops during happy parts?!!! IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!
@@janetplanet4595 Playing it too safe with their attractions? Yeah, Rise of the Resistance says otherwise.
Kids need to be a little traumatized as a treat
When I went on this on my last trip, it got stopped. The Hopper Audio-Animatronic started gushing fluid from his neck, and the show stopped a few seconds later when the CM saw it. Was pretty weird to see an Animatronic actually break during a show cycle.
+RockysReviews i agree that is weird! But now you have something you can remember the next time you go :D
This show broke down when I went on it as a little kid, Flik wasn’t moving
THIS IS DISNEY'S MOST UNDERRATED ATTRACTION BUT I DO NOT RECCOMEND FOR CHILDREN 10 AND UNDER AND PEOPLE WITH ARACHNOPHOBIA
I was 8 and I started crying and kept my feet up the rest of the show
What's Arachnophobia?
Preston Studios
Fear of spiders
Doiii
I was 4 and I had to leave the theatre I was crying and screaming so bad. Literally led to a lifelong phobia of bugs.... especially bugs turning giant.
I went the first time I went to Disney land. Or maybe the second time. Idk I’m not keeping track. But anyway, I was somewhere between 4-6.
Just saw this show for the first time in person a week ago and I had no idea what to expect and I have to say it f***ed with me!!!! I WAS NOT prepared for the smoke, water, being poked in the back and butt and giant spiders falling from the ceiling.
😂 I’m screaming
I was crying when I went on this, the fog, spiders I didn’t enjoy this.
My twin sister was terrorized of this. She hated the spiders. But she thinks the bug spray is way worse due to its smell. But, I liked he attraction.
Same here
On the way to the theater, you can hear flies buzzing Broadway songs like "I Feel Pretty" and "Hello Young Lovers"
And most of the posters are bug versions of classic Broadway shows!
Aw thank you for sharing! I love I feel pretty! Didn’t even realize
ah yes, my favorite family-friendly attraction where a giant grasshopper tries to murder the audience.
At the end I could understand that people were screaming because it feels like bugs crawling out from underneath their butts, but I didn't get scared from that when I tried this out at Disney World.
They were screaming for fun :)
Went on this in Florida. Literally jumped out of my seat and stood the rest of the show after the wasp sting. Tried banging on the exit doors and couldn't escape. It was traumatizing
what did the wasp sting feel like?
what did the wasp sting feel like did it hurt?
It hurt like hell
The sting felt like a punch in the back lol
HAHAHA thats nuts! Last time the seat I was on didn't work so I put my hand on the one next to me and felt the bugs crawling. It is actually like a wave effect rippling the seat like a solid wave machine.
Fun fact, Hopper in this show was voiced by Andrew Stanton himself.
he sounds just like spacey he also was hopper in the game
when i was little and i saw this show, i shit 500 pounds of hell no when the spiders came from the roof
Journey down to the size of an ant and experience how tough it is to be a Bug! :D
LMG Vids I
You copy this video from readyset lol
It is tough to be a bug
And now it’s gone forever
wow, I didnt even know. Would have recorded it if I did know that the last day was yesterday :/
be glad someone amazing like this thought ahead of time to make sure there was a decent ish recording of it

When went to Disney world animal kingdom tough to be a bug. Spiders came down I was so scared and screamed 😱🕷
Princess Maddie same
Same
9:14 "I Did NOT See That Coming!" LOL XD
The smoke part at 8:36 used to scare the SHIT outta me as a little boy.
I’m so sorry to hear that
I got scared by this attraction when I was younger too
I didn’t get to see the ending I had to leave
same
That smoke scared me so much I made my parents take me out 😂😂
My grandma was screaming during this attraction.
May I also use this footage in a video I'm making on the scariest Disney animatronics? I will give your channel full credit.
Hey I was just watching you haha
Hopper scared the shit out of me when I saw this as a kid!!
*ALL* of the musical theatre references XD "I Feel Pretty" though
This scared me so badly as a child when I did it at Animal Kingdom (I was about 6 or 7) I refused to watch any movie that involved bugs, specifically A bugs life and Antz. Didnt watch them again until I was maybe 9 or 10 ish. Still makes me uncomfortable.
This was a cute attraction over here at California Adventure!!!! Miss it :)
Arachnophobia + giant spiders hanging down at you = heart attack
I saw this once in 2006 and never again. So freaky... I'm sad it's gone though.
Same.
2005, never again but also sad it's gone.
I remember this ride as a kid lol seeing the adults jump up in the rows behind me during the stingers lol i jumped up before it got to me 😂😂 my whole family had it happen to them though it really was and still is a good show.
+Jazmyne Marquez ya that freaked me out when it first happened to me :P glad you enjoyed the show :)

I miss this at DCA soooo much ! Thanks for the video
I thought I was imaging this, can't believe it's been over 15 years since I went on this!
Re-tape this one, and put the bug glasses over the lens of the camera. It works well and wont have the double effect from 3D.
Other wise great job, YET again!
+Ky Mazzuca i will re tape it and try that out and ty :D
Great video! I was wanting to see this when I get to Disneyland in a few weeks, but it will be gone for the Good Dinosaur preview.
+MrDisneyfan001 ty :D im hoping that the good dinosaur preview is good :P
It sounds like people are liking it.
Never got the pleasure to experience this, but i prefer the bugs land rides over the one spiderman attraction they have at avengers campus.
My wife & kids went on this. The part she didn't like were the bee stings. She said they hurt.
Actually they were hornets
I miss this show at Disney California Adventure Park!!!!!
We need a sequel to a bug's life.
im glad my 1 year was sleep the whole time because i cursed so loud when i got stung.

R.I.P DCA Its Tough To Be A Bug! 2001-2018
I Fear No Floating Spiders.
But That Floating Lion Cub Head Thing… It Scares The Sh!t Out Of Me So D&mn Hard As H3ll
I distinctly recall passing out on this show.
I don't know why they made the black widow spiders in this is scary when Rosie and Chilli is so nice
I went to see this with the whole 5th grade classes, it was a memorable thing from my childhood lol. This and Soaring California were my two favorites 😍🥹
My mom told me and my siblings that this show wouldn’t be scary… little did she know she lied. Oh but this was such a classic
What i was searching for ! Thank's !!
8:49 I've heard this has some intense effects; what are they screaming at here?
There are some animatronic spiders, wind, and sting effects. And the whole theater is filled with fog.
When they scream, they're being poked by something in the seat in the back and they make it so swift that it's surprising.
Yeah, they get stung by hornets
Wow, I didn't think I'd miss this one. I'm just looking back to try to visualize where it was located in relation to what's there now.
This Was Such a good show, I miss it! So thanks Disney for removing a cool show and replacing it with the worst fucking ride at the resort
couldn't agree more
Alien encounter 2 anyone?
the sting is yes
9:22
Hopper: nothing can stop bugs... HAH! NOTHING!

Wait nvm!! The bug spray part is what got me. Dang I forgot about this. Glad you uploaded it.
Much better than marvel campus
Sad that it is over with . no more shows
Hopper: What are these humans wearing on their heads???

I loved this attraction so much when I was younger! They ruined Disneyland by putting marvel
Miss DCA's version. The animatronics and the fog effect always seemed better-maintained, not to mention the Flea animatronic actually having some movement compared to Animal Kingdom's.
bro all i have is this memory of when i was little and there was bugs crawling in the seats 😂
the first time I saw this hopper didn't come out when he was supposed to. it was really confusing.

I've always wondered, how is Hopper in this show if he died in Bugs Life?
+MegaSoulhero plot twist XD
+MegaSoulhero Well It's Tough To Be A Bug Premiered At DAK Months Before The Actual Bugs Life Movie Was Released.
this show opened in florida a few months before the movie was released so this show is based before the movie lol
Hipster Duh Well they should've released the movie first, and then open that up!
Or did he?
Is this attraction part ride or is it all show? How do the guests feel when fog get at them :/
it's a show :P it feels like strong mist at the most :)
Lalo Gonzalez they put effects in your seat like wind and they simulate wasp stings with a strong pinch in the back
idk why, but I always wanted to record hopper in night vision after the room gets filled with smoke.
Was so sad when they closed this down :(
😭😭😭same here
Pause and go to 2:31 that’s my only favorite sign in the entire attraction, because I love Disney princesses
It's Tough to be a Bug is a amazing 4d ride show.
I miss this ride so much as much as I like the avengers campus thing I miss this show eventhough it always freaked me out
might be a silly question but if there was a way of downloading this video if i could transfer it onto my 3DS would it play in 3d?
Why is the hell is Spider-Man web shooters the replacement? They shouldn’t have replaced it at all at California Adventure. I wanted my daughter to have fun, she did but this would’ve completed the experience.
To tell the truth- Dave Foley is way better than Wally Wingert. Plus, Kevin Spacey talks normal while Andrew Stanton talks weird.
I still have PTSD from this ride.
The spiders made me scream as a kid. My mom had to pull me out of me seat into a row back where she was sitting.
A bug’s life is not for the weak 🐜 🐛 🐞 🦗🪳🐌 😂
i was scared of this and ghost galaxy as a kid and now I go to Knotts scary farm for fun a lot has changed man.

That's what I'm wondering! I went 3 times and didn't get stung. My mom did, though. She said it feel like a poke. :/
