My dad dragged my nine year old self into this show years ago. He wanted to see it, he thought it would be fun for both of us. I saw the words “4D” and “bug”, and was like “NOPE.” But I had to endure it if I didn’t wanna risk leaving the park for the rest of the day. The show started, and at first I didn’t think it was TOO bad, but it quickly turned into a living nightmare, and I wanted nothing more than to escape, but was too afraid of what would happen if I tried to leave my seat. I remember hearing the screams and sobs of kids who were just as terrified as I was. And at the end of the show when I felt little bugs running around the seats and floor, I SPRUNG up from my seat, screaming my head off one last time. I was so mad at my dad for putting me through that, and to make up for it he took me to a live animal show with some very pretty scarlet macaws. It’s a miracle that I didn’t end up having any nightmares after that experience😅

Nice little touch that Andrew Stanton, the co-director of A Bug’s Life, is actually the voice of Hopper in this show. Honestly a decent Kevin Spacey impression; must’ve been a fun role to voice! 😄
We just did this show in Oct. and let me tell you, even with Flick’s eye being wonky and Hopper not even there, this show is an absolute gem. It’s hilarious, thrilling, and immersive. I’m sad it’s going away.
I saw this show in 2000 when I was 4 years old, so I don’t remember much. But I do remember the sneezing bug spraying boogers everywhere and Flik gasping when he saw Hopper appear. My mom (and presumably my dad) hated it! Me? I didn’t mind it…I think. A Bug’s Life was one of my favorite movies as a little kid, so I was having fun with the show, especially since I saw this being an attraction on my old Disney World/Land vhs tape I use to watch 24/7.
This is not for children, you'd think they'd give parents more of a warning. I used to go all of the time when I was young (grew up in Florida). Cried every time my parents took me to the show. Went back a year and a half ago and was just as spooked. They've even made it scarier. During the hornet part, you used to be able to sit on your legs and not get hit, but now they've put a mechanism in the seat as well.
You just feel a surprising poke on the back! Nothing hurts but also leg ticklers make you have a jump feeling because you feel air as well as the sting
@@tylerdinkydooamusementmadn6368 unless youre a little kid whos slammed into the seat and the needle hits you square in the spine it was exactly the same as a bee sting to me
I love this show and always get a kick out of seeing someone's reactions for the very first time! Especially at the end when the "bugs" move under your seat. XD
I remember going to see this as a kid. When I went in bugs didn't bother me and I even liked some of them. Coming out of this every bug I ran into for the next week scared the crap out of me and I'm still a raging entophobe at times.
No fr though. For 3 seconds when I went there for the first time, I was nervous, but then I got excited because I thought I could get powers from them XD
This shit literally terrified me as a kid. My dad had to take me out of the show because I was scared af from the spiders falling from the ceiling and pumps in the seats. I was only 5 years old and I can still remember that day 18 years later!
Bruh my least favorite part of the show is: That when hornets stings me and then after I left the show, I was whining like, Mom, My back fricken hurts! Also, my sister was laughing and she said, IM DEAD!
I hated that part too! When I went on it a second time, I lurched forward when Hopper ordered the hornets to sting the audience and I didn't feel the sting.
This traumatized me when I was younger, and I still can't be comfortable around any kind of bug. Even before that, I liked ladybugs and rolley-polleys.
Everyone is saying this is super scary or was when they were little can get in line. Alien Encounter was piss your pants scary. Thank God I was forced on it anyway so I can relive the tale. We're talking people being eaten around you, blood dripping on you from the ceiling, and things breathing on you in the dark.
I was just there not that long ago. It was so cute! I remember seeing this in as a kid in April, 2000. I was crying because I was scared. Now that I'm all grown up, I was able to enjoy it.
Amanda Diaz I enjoyed the show when I went because I was 10 and wasn't scared of bugs. When the spiders came down, I jokingly screamed "Spiders! Get them off of me!" a la Patrick in the SpongeBob episode where nematodes ate the pineapple. That episode had just premiered back then. God, I feel old...
I actually like this show, being someone who likes bugs, especially spiders. Still freak a bit about the effects in the seats and the darkness, but the show is very cool
I remember seeing this when I was a little kid back in the 2000's, I was scared of Hopper's animatronic character back then, looking back at it right now, I wasn't scared but still thought he looked creepy as a robot, not that I'm complaining or anything lol.
I've been on this so many times that my whole family knows when to sit, get up slightly, or lean forward to avoid the "bugs". But last time I was on it I was in Disneyland and the spider scene came up, so we ducked as usual and didn't look up. Then I felt something "brush" my head, and it was probably air but I fell to my knees screaming and my sister was just watching wide eyed thinking the spider had actually touched me for once xD most terrifying moment on a disney ride ever
I love this show even as an adult and it’s always a must-do!!! I laugh the whole time at all the kids screaming their ears off and the bugs under the seat are hilarious. This is honestly one of my favorite things at Animal Kingdom LOL 😂
Oh my gosh I remember seeing this and flipping out as I dug my claws into my friends arm when the bugs came out. ( mainly the Black Widows that hung on top that came down, and the maggots and bugs crawling under the seats.) Edit: I forgot the acid and parts with mist and everything
THIS WAS LITERALLY THE SCARIEST THING I EXPERIENCED ON MY WHOLE TRIP and I was there for my 21st birthday, I wish someone warned me about the spiders, I literally couldn't handle it and spilt a whole iced tea over my boyfriend :c
Guys I'm a big arachnophobe. I went on this ride in 2004, when I was 6 (Maybe I was older, idk its been a while) and my mom had told me that everything was fake, and if I got scared, I just needed to take off the glasses that they gave you. The show goes on, and I was enjoying it-- Until the spiders came out. I was terrified! But I remembered my mom's advice to take off the glasses. So I did and lo and behold, the spiders where still fucking there! (I hadn't grapsed the concepts of animatronics yet). I became so freaked out, even more when I could feel stuff crawl on me (Don't remember if that was a part of the show, but I also get so scared of them I can feel them on me so maybe thats what happened) that I had an actual panic attack, hyperventilating. My parents had to take me and my sister out, and my mom says alot of other people came out too cause the show had been ruined for them. I feel bad about it now but just..I don't think the ride is good for any kid under at LEAST 10, maybe older if they're scared of spiders.
Hey! Arachnophobic here. The first (and last) time I saw this show (age 18 or something) I actually enjoyed it. Maybe it's because of videos like this that prepared me for it but honestly it a cute show. I'd say 8 out of 10. Would bug out again.
I have arachnophobia and im not at all bothered by the spiders. But im also weird where the bigger it is the less it bothers me ( 1 what if its a brown recluse?! The necrotic venom is terrifying. 2 i hate how it can so easily hide and be ANYWHERE when its big it cant as easily get the jump on me) But those spiders not only look fake there huge Also i love that part of the show; i love horror and dark elements and as soon as they spray the bug spray it gets so dark and thematic and cool. Also i like the people screaming it reminds me of my job ( im a haunter; i work haunted houses. Screams as long as noones genuinely hurt is always fun) its just straight up cool
I’ve never been to Disney World so I’ve never been on this ride, But if I ever went I would probably never go on this ride because from all the comments and videos I’ve seen make the ride seem super scary. But I also have arachnophobia so I could never handle the spider scene

You're not alone, Codex ^^"
it isn't a ride a 2. if you're little, why try to cuss.?
Me: *sees the spiders coming down* oh hell no!
Nice little touch that Andrew Stanton, the co-director of A Bug’s Life, is actually the voice of Hopper in this show. Honestly a decent Kevin Spacey impression; must’ve been a fun role to voice! 😄
Hes also Zurg
We just did this show in Oct. and let me tell you, even with Flick’s eye being wonky and Hopper not even there, this show is an absolute gem. It’s hilarious, thrilling, and immersive. I’m sad it’s going away.
It is amazing!!!
What happened to Hopper?
My young self prior to the show: "Oh boy! A Bug's Life!"
My young self after the show: O___O
I saw this show in 2000 when I was 4 years old, so I don’t remember much. But I do remember the sneezing bug spraying boogers everywhere and Flik gasping when he saw Hopper appear.
My mom (and presumably my dad) hated it! Me? I didn’t mind it…I think. A Bug’s Life was one of my favorite movies as a little kid, so I was having fun with the show, especially since I saw this being an attraction on my old Disney World/Land vhs tape I use to watch 24/7.
I was leaning forward in my seat when the beetles, maggots and cockroaches were exiting so I didn't get what everyone was screaming about.
Jam Lym that junk hurt😭
Jam Lym same
Jam lym why did you lean forward? That would be something anyone would not do!
There is a sign in the queue and announcements when you are in the lobby and the theater advising that the show may not be suitable for children.
I think this is the most scariest ride in Disneys Animal Kingdom. Dinosaur isn't scary (in my opinion). It's look legit.
AZK Mom was freaking scared con Dinosaur and loved this one haha
AZK it’s tough to be a bug is not a ride it’s a show that’s has cool effects
Both this and Dinosaur terrified me.
this isn't a ride so how is DINOSAUR scarier?
It's a show not a ride
The bee sting hurt my back tho
I did not know it did that cause I didn't sit back
You just feel a surprising poke on the back! Nothing hurts but also leg ticklers make you have a jump feeling because you feel air as well as the sting
@@greatnarwhal9106 u scared of this show lol
@@tylerdinkydooamusementmadn6368 unless youre a little kid whos slammed into the seat and the needle hits you square in the spine it was exactly the same as a bee sting to me
It hurt my back too.
I love this show and always get a kick out of seeing someone's reactions for the very first time! Especially at the end when the "bugs" move under your seat. XD
Me: JUST SCREAMING
Everyone: Just in awe
I remember going to see this as a kid. When I went in bugs didn't bother me and I even liked some of them. Coming out of this every bug I ran into for the next week scared the crap out of me and I'm still a raging entophobe at times.
Do you still like the bugs you liked? And did you like the movie this was based off (and is actually a prequel to, this came out BEFORE it)?
I’m not a ride person but honestly this ride looks scarier than my sleep paralysis demon💀💀
when i saw the spiders, I said "bite me, assholes. make me Spiderman."
No fr though. For 3 seconds when I went there for the first time, I was nervous, but then I got excited because I thought I could get powers from them XD
😂😂😂😂
This shit literally terrified me as a kid. My dad had to take me out of the show because I was scared af from the spiders falling from the ceiling and pumps in the seats. I was only 5 years old and I can still remember that day 18 years later!
I only came once to this ride and I was really young. This ride was terrifying but now it’s not as bad as I remember.
same tbh, now rewatching it I wonder why it seemed so terrifying to me as a child
The Dragon of Truth it's 😂!
The sting doesn’t hurt, just a bit of a poke. I think it made you jump because you also feel air on your legs
Satellite Animates Ur not wrong there!😂😂
Last time on the first time I went on this attraction I didn’t notice that part where it stings you
This traumatized me when I was younger, and I still can't be comfortable around any kind of bug. Even before that, I liked ladybugs and rolley-polleys.
the very end, when the "bugs" move under the seat was the scariest part for me cuz u think its done and dont expect it
who else was always terrified of this ride
jade loves jimin it’s a show dumbass
Me 😰
Everyone is saying this is super scary or was when they were little can get in line. Alien Encounter was piss your pants scary. Thank God I was forced on it anyway so I can relive the tale. We're talking people being eaten around you, blood dripping on you from the ceiling, and things breathing on you in the dark.
I wasn't scared on that, even though I was 6; my neighbor (who went to Florida with me) told me it was all effects from my harness.
I actually found that funny when I was 5 tbh
I was just there not that long ago. It was so cute! I remember seeing this in as a kid in April, 2000. I was crying because I was scared. Now that I'm all grown up, I was able to enjoy it.
Amanda Diaz I went August 1999.
Princess Sally Nice. When I was little, we went in 2000. We went again last year in May.
Princess Sally Lol nice. Disney always has the best 4k shows.
I absolutely love this show. Still makes me scream in fear when they attack the audience though ahaha
I actually like this show, being someone who likes bugs, especially spiders. Still freak a bit about the effects in the seats and the darkness, but the show is very cool
5:23 wow disney wow.
Absolutely love this attraction! The Hopper animatronic is incredible, maybe my favorite one at WDW.
4:17 take that flea boy
I can only hope that I'm in an audience as 'good' as this one.
I love when they bring in the smoke 😂
Saw this for the first time yesterday. Great!
The BUG DOOM was my favorite part.
this traumatized 5 year old me, thank you so much for letting me relive this actual fear.
fucking SAME OMG the fucking waspssss
Once I felt the bugs in my chair, I screamed so loud
7:28
Hopper: nothing can stop us
Ha!
NOTHING!
Me: then who's that?
7:29
Good meme potential
CHAMELEON!
I remember seeing this when I was a little kid back in the 2000's, I was scared of Hopper's animatronic character back then, looking back at it right now, I wasn't scared but still thought he looked creepy as a robot, not that I'm complaining or anything lol.
i always loved this ride, i can't believe so many people think its so scary, was so sad when disneyland got rid of it
I've been on this so many times that my whole family knows when to sit, get up slightly, or lean forward to avoid the "bugs".
I’m 19 And This Show Scared Me When I Went In December
I love this show even as an adult and it’s always a must-do!!! I laugh the whole time at all the kids screaming their ears off and the bugs under the seat are hilarious. This is honestly one of my favorite things at Animal Kingdom LOL 😂
Miss the hell out of this show and Superstar Limo.
Nobody
My Brain: 🎶We’re Pollenators🎶
6:15 Lilo And Stitch!
I legit remember seeing this show once and never seeing it again because I was so traumatized by it. Me and my siblings were sobbing our eyes out lmao
May I use this footage in a video I'm making about scary Disney animatronics? I will give your channel full credit.
Hi do you think the new Jurassic coaster will be better then iron gwazi?
@@issak8416 yes
how did i not know you existed
SO IT WASN’T A DREAM, I SWEAR I REMEMBERED SPIDERS IN THE BUGS LIFE AREA!!!
Oh my gosh I remember seeing this and flipping out as I dug my claws into my friends arm when the bugs came out. ( mainly the Black Widows that hung on top that came down, and the maggots and bugs crawling under the seats.) Edit: I forgot the acid and parts with mist and everything
I was tramautized by this show especially when you could feel the bugs crawling on your legs I started crying
8:42 when someone says free 🍕in front of everyone
Give meh some of dat
I really miss this era PIXAR - super silly & over the top comedy.
I remember when I first saw this show as a little kid I freaked out when the spiders came
It's still scaring people till this day.
That's why I am not going on it CUZ I AM SCARED OF SPIDERS
I remember going there when I was about 9. :) I’m 11 now & that was a really nice show.
Imagine if your job is a bug exterminator and you come to this show thinking you are going to die.
I like the ending when it feels like the bugs are crawling under your seat!
I never hear the end of the "Claire the stinkbug" jokes after seeing this show with literally anyone.
HAHAHA!! I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for you, but that's too funny
Mom shoulda said that the spiders were animatronics
That is why hopper is my arch-nemesis
7:06
Wow that poor kid was screaming bloody murder
This is a great show. My niece and I saw it 3 times while there.
The show was amazing Disney's the only one that can make a tarantula cute
The spiders scared me back in 2009! Even for a 5 year old it was pretty scary!
6:19 Earth vs The Spider
6:21 The Beginning of the End
6:27 Empire of the Ants
Those were all on MST3K.
6:20 I think that was in Lilo & Stitch
2 i hate how it can so easily hide and be ANYWHERE when its big it cant as easily get the jump on me)
But those spiders not only look fake there huge
Also i love that part of the show; i love horror and dark elements and as soon as they spray the bug spray it gets so dark and thematic and cool.
