@@CraftyYarnOwlwithDarla when it comes to the size of the of the top I need ( which is a 3x by the way) how would I measure how many rows I will need to for the back and how many I will need for the front? Is there a formula for the neck line for the different sizes?

If made it longer how do you work out where to start chain for the v 😊in the neck.

Oh my God, I could just cry. I am so glad I found your channel. I am totally blind and I’ve had a really really hard time finding a TH-camr who is as descriptive as you are when it comes to crocheting garment pieces. I love making blankets and scarves. But have had very limited success when it comes to Tops and sweaters because other TH-camrs are not as descriptive or as thorough as you are. again, thank you so much for all of your time effort and energy that you put in to your videos.❤️❤️🦋🦋

Then after when returning when putting the v stitches into the chain.. how do I know how many v stitches I would need into that chain like you needed 12 but if I did more or less for the v neck I don’t know how to figure that out. 😂 lol
So how do I knock how many chains to do for neck if I’m making a different size and need deeper or not? And so on after that?

Hi Wendy! To make it longer you would make your chain longer, but since you already have it started, you could add rounds of V stitches, or even double crochets, to the bottom when the rest of your top is complete, which would give it a band around the bottom. Hope this helps! 💞

How would I make it into a extra large
Hi Linda! I think what you could do is crochet a few rows and then measure your piece up against one of your tops to determine the number of rows or measurement you would need on either side of the neckline. I hope this helps.

I have a yarn I’ve been wanting to use for a top.. it’s the Lion brand cotton blend #5 yarn. It’s a chunky #5 weight yarn that is cotton and acrylic blend.
Could I make this top with that? If so .. what hook size would you suggest for this?
Also was wondering.. if I wanted a more drappy loose neck that can go over shoulders like a cold shoulder like.. is there a way I could do that with ur pattern here?

Hi Kriss! 💞 I really don't know if a chunky would work for this top. It might make it look too bulky? I can't think of a way to make the neckline into a cold shoulder considering the design is worked from side to side. I'm so sorry, I wish I could help you out better than this.

I love this top! I'm trying it now. I wish I were the same size as you. It would make it so much easier! I've made 2 articles of clothing for me in the past two weeks and one is too tight and the other fits, but a little tighter than I'd like it to be. Hopefully this one will fit. I added 3 rows to the first side, and I'm halfway done with the second side so far.
