I made the long vest and just love it. Made this short vest but if was way to short, but the joy of crocheting, you can take it all apart and start over. Need to go to the large in length. Love your design and the ease of following your pattern..
Thank you Wilma for making these videos with the Scarfie yarn. Now i know what to do with all my skeins.....make your beautiful tops for myself & family!
I adore your long vest, but this one is so pretty . I don’t wear vests often, but they give a cozy touch for a cool morning or evening. I haven’t tried Scarfie yarn. This gives me the perfect reason to try it!!
This is a cute and simple pattern to follow, thank you for sharing! I am using a Plymouth yarn called fantasy naturale. It is a 100% cotton mercerized yarn that I bought from a fine yarn shop in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. It was made in Brazil. I promise to come back on and show you the end result!
I just love this and always loved the longer one, I just hadn't gotten around to making it. But I am now. I tried to use a size 4 cotton yarn because I didn't have any scarfie yarn, but I think I'm just gonna use another size 5 yarn that I have and make as pattern suggests as I am not good at substituting for a smaller/bigger yarn than patterns suggest. Thank you again for such a beautiful and EASY vest.
@@pixiegutierrez7401 I have searched it repeatedly and cannot find that info…I am very sorry…they don’t always make it easy to find the info to increase sizes
Thank you Wilma l made the long vest from your other video I see that you have made the shorter version different I love it and can't wait to make it thank you
Hi Sonya, I just made the long vest too. I used a different #5 Bulky yarn and I love how it came out but it was wayyyyyy toooooo long for me. I am only 5'2" and it practically touches the floor. I also made it in a size large. Do you if there is a multiple for this if I would want it shorter. I know I could try this shorter vest but I am afraid it will be too short and I would be in the same dilemma as to making it longer or shorter. Any help would be awesome. Thank you!
Hi I’m a very beginner and attempting this vest, please advise. I am doing the largest size and am I reading correct, the start chain is 94, got all the way to row 9, chain 48, do 16 ch-spaces. The last 2 chains did not meet.
I love this design and want to make a few of these. But I was wondering if there was a child size pattern for this anywhere? I want to make one for my niece who is only 5.
Dear Wilma, I like your pattern, but... I followed your instruction but on the second row I have only 19 holes (or 30 if I count every holes).. I started again the whole vest but I got only 19 holes again insted of 25. I can’t figure out what do I do wrong. Thank you for sharing your patterns. All of them are very nice.
audrey murray I have tons of size 4 weight yarn. How did you come up with how many stitches to add? Did you meet the required length using a tape measure, or did you make a gauge swatch? I’m new and appreciate you sharing very much!
How hard would it be to turn the pattern so it works from side to side, from the bottom up? I want the striping to go the other way. If I knew how many stitches I need across the bottom, I'm sure I could figure it out.
To change it to horizontal stripes, chain the appropriate # for your size (small would be about 17-18 inches wide for the back, medium is about 18-19 and large would be 20 inches or so). Then you can continue crocheting the back and just divide it in the middle by turning instead of crocheting the entire length. Do on both sides. If this is confusing, I can show you some links.
I was doing the 3rd size in Scarfie yarn but when I got to the part where you divide for front I realised you had to fold in half which made it 14”/ 36cms long which was about to the waist. No idea why. I followed the pattern as well as video but something wrong somewhere, far too short.

Hello! I can't do wool, I get a rash. What yarn can I substitute to make this with instead??? Thank you for your help very much
Any other 5 weight yarn, try Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's or Amazon. I'm doing mine in a 4 weight and a size 6 hook, I just added more stitches.
audrey murray I have tons of size 4 weight yarn. How did you come up with how many stitches to add? Did you meet the required length using a tape measure, or did you make a gauge swatch? I’m new and appreciate you sharing very much!
They make a scarifie that is either 100% acrylic or acrylic cotton blend.
audrey murray I did the same. I’m using Red Heart Ombré and a size 8 hook. Had to add rows since it came out narrow. It’s very pretty, though.
I don't have scarfie yarn. Can I use Red heart unforgettable? 🤔
You can. You just need to find the same weight of yarn for a 10mm hook.
Onde encontro o gráfico? Tem um link?
