10:26 You get it! This is asymmetric, multi-use cards Chess! Chess is the same game every time you play it, *but* the reason it's so amazing is *how* you can play it despite having the same structure of units every time you play. Yes, in Ironwood you may get screwed over by card draw, but you have a core set of 3 cards that are always available to you that provide you your faction's base strengths. If you're looking for a game that constantly surprises you with new things, you'll be disappointed. If you're looking for a game that has a core system that allows players to be creative with their faction, you will be *delightfully* satisfied!
I am 3 plays in and won all of them with the ironclads, so maybe it's to much subjective, but for me its one of the best games i ever played. Nice components, nice artwork, easy rules and great deepth.
Got it on pre-order. Amazing game. I’m about 15 games in and still amazing or even better. The ratio of possibilities, ease of play within that time frame is really a great accomplishment by the designers.

Agreed. the time frame especially for the dynamics
I would just like a more easily readable cleaner playerboard. With my ultra-autism, I get tired just looking at the board art. Sounds very interesting otherwise.
Yeah... I haven't seen it in person, so maybe it's easier to read in person than on video. Otherwise I can always make a hand-drawn alternative for personal use XD
Don't get it if your priority is solo and multi-player is secondary. In solo, it doesn't even live half way up to the multi-player experience. Unfortunately.

I can’t comment on solo as that is definitely not my forte.

I'm still waiting on my copy showing up 😢. Got to play it at UKGE this year and really enjoyed it.
Other games of asymmetric 1v1 games like Ironwood you like just as much or more?
Summoner wars, exceed, battlecon
I do like Summoner Wars. I’ve only played a couple times vs my dad.

It is quite detailed on the board.
