    This looks fairly easy to complete and the leather required it's all that expensive either. Thank you for the very detailed walk through and PDF....looks like the family might have coasters in the near future.

      +halojump123 I was not sure what "expands" meant so I googled it and I must say that, definitively, I think that our minds create, in a bad or good way, our reality... It's hardo for me to express myself in english because is not my language. Hope you have understood!

    Excellent. I’m wondering if you could buy a threaded rod, with like a decorative tube that would slide over the top of it. That way you have like metal supports across the base instead of the string. Of course you would have to cut the length

    What model is the OLFA cutter are you using and how thick of leather will it cut?

    • @FischerWorkshopsTaiwan
      @FischerWorkshopsTaiwan  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the CMP-1. The thickest leather I've cut with it is 10oz, or 4mm thick. Does a great job!

    Great vdo! are you using a dremel with your wood burnisher tool ? can you let me know what dremel model are u using ? i heard thast the 3000 can heat quickly. any website for the burnisher too ? thanks in advance

      I use the 3000 with a flex shaft. I like it... Speeds are adjustable, although if you don't mind spending a little extra the 9100 is the best for professional use. The edge burnisher I used can be purchased from proedgeburnishers.com

    How do you address the hole in the leather that the needle from the olfa tool leaves in the center of your coaster?

    • @FischerWorkshopsTaiwan
      @FischerWorkshopsTaiwan  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, it gets covered up by the basketweave tooling later on.

    • @chrisapattee
      @chrisapattee 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fischer Workshops so I guess you would probably have to use some type of design whenever you use the circle cutter the cover cover up the needle Mark correct? Do you think that you could flip the leather upside down and cut the circle from the flesh side?

    • @FischerWorkshopsTaiwan
      @FischerWorkshopsTaiwan  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      chrisa pattee Most definitely, it shouldn't break through if the leather thick enough
