I'm hoping to update the rear end to a newer version with factory disc brakes,but all the salvage yards I've called so far estimate a price of minimum $1k.its a dual wheel set up.They pricey.So,was hoping to just for now find orig type just get my toy puller back on road,then find newer piece later.these autos been under water very long at all are 90% or more gone.I wouldn't have trusted it with a heavy trailer to get me far.rust eats the strength away.

Thats an 84 plus square, 81-82 had cut outs in the front bumper for signal lights which that truck doesnt have. And from the steering column shot thats a later version because of the cruise control/signal on one stalk.
I'm still thinking you'll find another body one of these days. I don't wish that but think of so many people disappearing when they could very well be in bodies of water. It gives closure to families.
Tatem needs to rethink what he's doing with his jeep. As a jeeper I can assure you that his diffs have water in them. Even if he has the breathers ran up, it's still getting water inside with as long as he's parking in the water. If he's doing that he needs to be flushing and replacing parts or he will eat that jeep alive. Just a friendly heads up. Makes me stress everytime he parks in the water lol

What dive certifications do you have? It's be great if you could make a video about what it takes to get started in diving and cost of basic equipment. I haven't been diving since I was 12 and I'm 29 now and want to get back into it. Definitely inspired by what you guys are doing recovering these vehicles.

mid 80s. it also has the old bandag type recaps.. this truck was in original condition for its era when it was dumped there.
I think it'll be cool to do a pressure wash and detail video on this one!

That truck was also a 1981 or newer with that style of front fender likely a 1983 or 04
it was v8 and carbureted, easiest assumption is 454

It will be different for everyone based on location. It is best to contact your local dive shop and have them guide you.
