This helped me- my husband left me after 18years- I built myself up met a guy, he swept me off my feet I wanted to go slow but he spoke to me and did all the right things so I gave in! Huge mistake The attention continued then one day it stopped- I went crazy! He said to me I want to take it slow…now my emotions are messed up. Don’t know how to handle the sudden change- it wasn’t cool he did that!
Yes, this happens more than it should. Men get waaaaay worked up hormonally / sexually and want to go all in. But when they realize they've overcommitted due to sexual brain fog, the wake up and subsequent back off are brutal. Especially when they were so hyped up towards you! You can NOT trust what a hormonally hyped up man says.
@@DesertMoon wow!!! He definitely used me. Then he was talking behind my back saying I was terribly ugly, that no make-up can fix my face ! Just a terrible human!
Because if you take it slow her emotions and ego will take over and she will chase you. Relationships are the opposite of nature and to flip nature on its head you have to make her wait until she explodes with curiosity and desire. Women want what they can't have.
When it comes to taking it slow my question us this. Is it a ok to show the person you like affection? Hand holding, kissing etc. Or should I be holding off on that for the 3rd or 4th date?
I find it's okay to show some mutual physical attraction, not kissing though. Best to keep the bedroom behavior out of it until you've had time to really get to know the person. Source: Been burned too many times by other people wanting to move much too fast.
Such a good video. I just started out in a great relationship and want it to be healthy. This provided such great insight because it is so easy to get overly excited, but truthfully you need to get to know someone before really throwing L bombs out.
Excellent work, Marni & Randy! Dating Den rocks! I agree with what you say in this video, and it is really important to take your time... Even if you are super excited about each other! What I realize is that people take longer to make a decision about buying an apartment, than about choosing your life partner. The latter is WAY more important ; )
Hi Marni 🙂 I have been chatting with a guy online . I live in Victoria Island and he lives in Vancouver (mainland) so there is a ferry ⛴ commute. We started chatting and I like the connection although he keeps texting tooo much and he wants to come to meet me but.... I feel he is way too eager and excited ..... not sure 🤔 if this is ok.... as I am getting messages that are super flattering but.... we don’t know each other in person.... how do I handle the “slow” pace and word with him... I would Like to know what to do or if this is a red flag.... so confusing....online you meet flakes and others that are coming too strong.... please help! 😋
this video is great and right on time but i am the one who was asked to slow things down although we like each other and have dated for like a month. then the first time when i heard that i kinda got upset but today i just called him and said i am willing to take things slow at his pace so he could probably know me better.
hi I'm a new viewer and I'm talking to a really great girl right now and she wants to take things slow and I'm perfectly okay with taking it slow, but I just don't know how that's done exactly because I've never done the whole "let's take things slow kind of thing" so i was wondering as a guy how do i take things slow

i have a question and would like to get your opinion! when he was 181/2 and i was 19 now we are 56 and 57 and we are in a long distant relationship and he is going to move to the state where i am and we are going to live together in August of this year, when we went our own way in 1980 i was pregnant and had no idea how to get ahold of him, but that was the only man that i had been with back then, now in the 37 years we've been apart he has had 2 other son with 2 different women, i was married for 20 year and have had 4 other children, for me i have never been in love with any other man like we had when we were younger, what do you think about this, we still have a connection, we video chat every night and we want to have a relationship again, but i think it would be a good idea if we took this slow, because i would want this to last for the rest of our lives, because we always have loved the way each other is even though we are adults now
+Ashley Bouvier yeah I'm as queer as a three dollar bill lmao. if you read my original comment carefully you would have noticed I said she'' not he! pay attention before you pop off with stupid remarks.
this completely opened my eyes to why he wants to move slowly! I am very emotional and fast moving, but I understand him completely now. thank you.

Nice Quote...the slower you go the faster you will get there. I agree...no rush a relationship..find out who they are 1st.
I met a really great girl (possibly the best I have ever met) and, even though I knew most of these things, here I am making sure it sticks.
Truth, no joke
You don't force it to be faster or slower. You find someone your speed. That is the only thing that works.

Some women use take it slow, just to keep you around. Not because you see something with them, but it's an ego boost.
Brian Icu Yes. I think some men too.

The video was too short. Noooo!
Are you saying “you don’t know someone after 4 days” or “you don’t know someone after 4 dates”?????
