There are many other Sanrio-Designed Characters that weren't covered in their Iceberg Article, and it's not that uncommon to find incomplete Icebergs - TH-camrs often combine multiple of these articles together into a somewhat more 'comprehensive' form before doing their videos...
There's something about the older, simpler characters like Little Twin Stars, Pochacco, Vanilla Bean, Button Nose, Tuxedo Sam, Keroppi and Badtz Maru that I just find so charming I adore them.
I screamed when you mentioned Nekomura Iroha. Fans these days are busy mistaking project sekai characters for legit Vocaloids or thinking Miku is originally a FNF character. Hearing that someone remembers and listens to Iroha is very rare.
I know a little bit more about kittys level for the backrooms, so basically it’s a safe level that if you bring kitty a soft cute pink toy ( like a plushie or something) he will befriend you and follow you around. You can actually live in this level, there’s like wifi, food, and other stuff in there. There’s like a video on this and it’s not really hard to find. Just look up “kittys level backrooms” and I’m sure you will find it.
Just a warning, Kitty(the backrooms entity) dont jumpscare you at all, it just follows you throught the level looking at you, she is not agressive at all, but because her appearence, I see a lot of people saying that she tries to kill you or scares you, she doesnt. The level and the entity is not bad at all, the level itself is a safe level where you can stay for how much time you want, as I said, Kitty only stares at you, leaving you with a unconfy feeling, but she doesnt harm you at all. Ik is not so important, but Kitty is so loveable, and seeing people portrait her as an agressive entity makes me sad :(

I think I had a My Sweet Piano or My Melody pocket electric piano as a kid in the 80s. It would fit in the palm of the hand of an adult and came with a tiny book with music notes. I remember London Bridge Is Falling Down being one of the songs.

One of the things that's missing in the iceberg is the movie Chirin No Suzu (Ringing Bell). The film was made by Sanrio and is about a lamb who's mother gets killed by a wolf. The lamb wants to get revenge on the wolf for killing his mother and actually gets trained alongside the wolf himself to become stronger. It's probably one of the darkest things Sanrio has produced as far as I know.

She is a beloved Dutch children’s cartoon character! In Dutch, the word for rabbit is “konijn” (ko-NINE), and adding a “je” or “tje” at the end of a word makes it diminutive. She also has a last name, Pluis (pronounced like the name “klaus,” but with a p instead of a k), the Dutch word for “lint.” So essentially, Miffy’s real name is Dust Bunny. When I was a little kid, my family visited Amsterdam and my dad took me to a shop full of miffy merch. From the shop I got a small miffy plush and carried it around with me during our trip. However, somehow I ended up accidentally leaving it on the plane back home never saw it since. I wonder if she’s still traveling the world…

FINALLY someone makes a video like this, sanrio is a company with LOTS of history that needs to be more well known. amazing work on the video! some additions: -unico was created and produced by osamou tezuka, whom you may know for creating astroboy. unico himself is a bit of a tragic character, mostly because his whole thing is that he's destined to be alone. unico had a manga series and 4-5 movies -there was an official set of hello kitty tarot cards -beetroid. robot beetles. not much else to say. -kero kero kerroppi and freinds, a straight to video cartoon series featuring keroppi, and shorts about other characters suck as pekkle and badtz-maru. this series had an English release, that for some reason left out badtz-maru -hello kitty animation theater(not to be confused with furry tale theater), a show made in 2000 featuring sanrio characters who portrayed fairy tales, including... the little match girl, for some reason. -during the 1970s and 80s, sanrio video produced a bunch of children's animated films, such as the mouse and his child, the ringing bell, the water prince and the fire child, and a journey through fairyland. almost all of these films have some sort of dark or sad subject matter. - sanrio can be really stingy with copyright, and tends to crack down on independent creators who use their characters in products. -caribadix. a product line featuring button-eyes cat characters, it was later adapted into an anime that i for the life of me cannot find anywhere. -hello kitty's mouth-having status is WILDLY inconsistent throughout most cartoons. in shows like furry tale theater, hello kitty's paradise, and growing up with hello kitty, kitty is shown with a mouth. -dear Daniel. hello kitty's boy(?)friend, not much else to say about him. -sanrio is the license-holder for peanuts(snoopy, charlie brown, that whole deal) in japan! -hello kitty's furry tale theater is one of the only western-animated sanrio productions -crossovers. so many crossovers, from naruto to pusheen, hello kitty has probably met them -hello kitty is british. she lives in England. i'm a bit of a huge nerd on this subject, i'm sure there's tons of stuff even i missed. but enjoy these fun facts.

Gonna add a few more here, since I kind of came here just for Show By Rock as well. The franchise name is often -nicely- abbreviated in Japanese as _SB69_, as "69" can be pronounced "ro-ku" using goroawase. Its reputation as being for older audiences is mainly because it features and homages genres of music that wouldn't appeal to young children. -There were actually two Show By Rock games. The original was active from 2013 until its end of service in 2019, and _Show By Rock!! Fes A Live_ launching shortly afterwards in 2020 and retaining most of the previous game's content, before ending service last November. The third and fourth anime seasons are adaptions of _Fes A Live_ specifically. -The SB69 games were only released in Japanese, though the anime was both released globally both with subtitles and dubbed. I'm not sure whether that was due to a language barrier, all songs in the game being in Japanese, or due to copyright issues. -Both games are rhythm genre mobile games in the same vein as the TapTap series, but contain gacha mechanics. In the 90s Hello Kitty did a Happy Meal Collab with McDonald's in Singapore that nearly lead to stampedes because everyone was rushing to get the Hello Kitty plushie. It put the Singaporean term "kiasu" (fear of missing out, but like intensified) on the map!
as part of the splatoon fandom, i can confirm the marina whitewashing controversy was a big deal. it sucks that the few black characters that we have end up being whitewashed for an "aesthetic". u can have a pastel aesthetic no matter ur skin color.

Oh my god, I remember Cathy!! My parents didn't have much money when I was a kid, so any Sanrio merch I had was a lot older. When I got older and was able to get more up-to-date merch, I was so upset to not see her, especially because I never knew why she was gone. Thanks for mentioning her, and letting me find out what happened to her. I miss her, but get why she was retired.
you missed a few characters which makes me kinda sad lol, but i feel like theres only a couple that are kinda worth knowing so, Lloromantic are two little devil characters from the Cinnamoroll world, they serve as antagonists as well. Their names are Cherry (a pink devil with a fashionable hat) and Berry (a black devil with horns) they also have the ability to change their appearance to be more evil I guess, but I dont really know. And the other character is Cogimyun who is a little character made out of wheat flower! She's super cute and underated :)

I was hoping I would hear of Hello Kitty's twin sister Mimmy in the video! It was an amazing video but I grew up having watched this one Sanrio anime from the early 2000s called "Hello Kitty: Ringo no Mori" or Hello Kitty : The Apple Forest. It went over Mimmy and Kitty's adventure in their world, using a special charm and powder and eventually go in another world inhabited by human looking fairy-like beings. I vividly remember the two evil chipmunks from it too, it was hilarious... The villain Akuro (Mimmy turned evil by a really scary villain for a child) just wanted to turn everything black it was pretty wild

This video is super well-made and well-researched! The content warnings and lack of disturbing images are also hugely appreciated. I've been a huge Sanrio fan my whole life but there were definitely a lot of things in here I'd never heard about! So many of these characters I've never seen before are so cute, it makes sad because I know they probably hardly have any merch. I have a hard enough time finding Tuxedo Sam merch :(
There is also a Sanrio character called Cogimyun ! Japan Sanrio made a channel separate one just for this character and by searching it up , u can see short animated videos of her and Cogimyun has made covers on that channel too ! Everything is in Japanese just so you know ! 🌸
This was a really fascinating video! I’d also like to point out that Sanrio has 2 mobile games, Hello Kitty World 2 and Hello Sweet Days. I’m pretty sure they aren’t all that well known but I stumbled across them recently and have really enjoyed playing them
The other Sanrio stores out of Japan, which I believe was even before the US markets, were in the Philippines under the chain Gift Gate, who are the official distributors of Sanrio and Lego products during the late 70s and early 80s.

Aggretsuko/Aggressive Retsuko started out in 2016, not 2018. There was a series of 90-second long shorts that released weekly up until the first season of the full-length anime aired. It has the same cast, but there are differences to some of the characters, most obviously their names. It got released worldwide, but I think it had a different distribution channel which is why it isn't as well known and unfortunately probably doesn't belong in the top layer.

Sanrio also did a collab with Nintendo of a game called Splatoon 2, a multiplayer online game. During this collab, they did a splatfest event and if anyone did know what splatfest is? It basically having two team theme of you having a option of which is the best theme during this event. For example, Ketchup vs Mayo, Cats Vs Dogs, and so on. Back of this collab, is based on popular characters from Sanrio and during the final result, My Melody won the whole splatfest event. Unfortunately this event was only a Japanese exclusive event, but latest they have gameplay footage on TH-cam. That's pretty much it about this collab, love the iceberg narrator from covering up the history of Sanrio!
wanted to mention that sanrio has produced quite a few movies that weren’t mentioned. i’m a big fan of the sea prince and the fire child in particular. there’s even a scene in this movie where creatures very similar to cinnamoroll are seen flying through the sky/ocean. unico is in two movies and there’s some really cute characters in those. a journey through fairyland is another sanrio movie and this one actually featured several sanrio characters in a brief musical sequence, namely hello kitty, little twin stars, my melody, strawberry king, and more. i’m a big fan of sanrio movies and i never hear them talked about so i just wanted to mention these lil fun facts :)

Adding onto the sugarbunnies: In addition to the anime shown in the video, there are 2 more seasons. In the intro of either season 2 or 3, Shirousa & Kurousa meet Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, and Badtz Maru. I never got to watch seasons 2 & 3, so i’m not sure what exactly happens. The intro also includes Hello Kitty’s parents, Mimmy, Fifi, Badtz maru’s parents, cinna’s friends, and a few more.
Very uncommon opinion but chococat is my fav Sanrio character ever! And has been sense I was little. I own a ton of his merchandise including a backpack, wallet, sweatshirt, shirt, bucket hat, bracelet, earrings, necklace, plushies and more! I can’t tell you haw much I love this character and it’s very sad that he is not very popular and I think he deserves way more popularity.
There used to be Sanrio Stores in Indonesia, I visited some. They closed around 2015-2016, from what ive heard; they didn't get new item stocks from the official Sanrio warehouse so they were basically left ignored and they soon closed.

Me waiting for mention of Cinnamoroll universe or Cinnomoangels: I remember finding a character named mocha, she looked so cute! I love her! I saw someone mention her on Twitter and seeing her designs made me love her instantly, so I googled her and she’s apart of this group called cinnamoangels, it’s a band I assume? But the group has trio named, Mocha, Chiffon and Azuki who are cute! But mocha is my favorite and I need more artworks of her And apparently there’s a lil whole universe of cinnomoroll universe according to the hello kitty wiki, maybe they named it since the characters have similar design base as cinnamoroll, There are characters such as espresso, milk, coco and nuts, cappuccino and ofcourse, the cinnoangels They’re all so cute! My favorite is mocha!!! I need more of her
Don't forget that Sanario and Bandai had a collaboration and did Tamagotchis. Best Tamagotchi is Tamagotchi On, meets, Ssome and there are Sanario meets too. Mixing all the caracters with dating and breed tamagotchis with appearance from both the male and female ones. ^^ Ouw! ♡
Sanrio Boys was a dang masterpiece and I'm both bitter that it wasn't as popular as it should have been and thankful that it wasn't as popular as most BL-esque media gets.

I did heard from ppl on tiktok that Kitty is actually pretty helpful and if you give Kitty a gift (has to be an item resembling cute/kawaii aesthetics and in the color pink), Kitty will be able to help you to the next level and doesn't mind that you rest in this level; however, I don't know who accurate that information is. You will even find food in this Level.

I was so excited when I was at a local ComicCon and came across a full stationary set with Charmy Kitty on it! It was so freaking cute and I'm so happy I found it! Love this video, it had so much info that I didn't know on it, like Pierrot!! He's so adorable, I wish they would bring him back!
There is one collab Sanrio did that may not be of importance to you, but in 2016, Sanrio did one with P&G (the company that owns the Pampers brand) to make Hello Kitty-themed Pampers Easy Ups training underwear, which is fancy talk for "training pants" or "pull-ups". They were redesigned with the same Hello Kitty brand in 2017 with different designs of the character on them, until in 2018 onward they were replaced with DreamWorks Trolls characters for the designs, and then MLP:FiM. Not saying the MLP ones outshine the Hello Kitty ones, but they're equal in cuteness. And don't worry, Nintendo once owned a chain of love hotels for adults in Japan when they first started out as a company. They made hanafuda cards as Nintendo Playing Card Co., and they own the Seattle Mariners.

One of these things that icebergs don't mention is the character "Delmin Devilmintkiryu", which was a character created for the "Devilmintkiryu project"! She's essentially a character that's intended to be used for crossovers with games, including Bandori and NND Compass. She's a super cute monster girl, I'm surprised she isn't more popular.
Something that wasn't mentioned here that I remember from when I was a kid was this Nintendo DS game about Hello Kitty and friends preparing for a party. I remember playing it for hours as a kid, and it's also how I remember all of the Hello Kitty character's names I guess. When I saw Usahana in this video I was so confused how I knew her, because I knew I loved her but I couldn't seem to place a finger on where I knew her from, turns out, it was from the DS game! There are also some pretty funny memes floating around about Usahana because in the game she was party of the group of friends making dinner, which means she got to hold a knife lol.
I actually still have this game! “Happy party with Hello Kitty & Friends” I played it again recently and it’s such a cute game. It says it’s part of the Happy Series on the box, I’m not sure how many games there actually were though

5:45 OH There's ONE (1) Sanrio store in Tijuana, Baja California right on the border of Mexico and USA. It's small in a plaza called Plaza Rio but frankly it was the only way Mexican Sanrio fans could buy Sanrio merch for years before international shipping was available.
I remember that in Brazil, people would say that hello kitty meant hello devil and was created by himself lol. I also remember getting pissed off by that cause I was (and still am) a huge hello kitty fan.
i got really excited when i saw the jewel pets game for the DS pop up at the end because i thought it was going to be about the Sanrio game that i actually had as a kid on my pearly pink DSi just like the one in the picture, but i guess not lol! im surprised more DS games didnt show up on the list but i guess they’re more rare than i realized. If anyone here can help me find it id really appreciate it!! I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the game that i had, but i do remember a lot of details vividly! you could get different pre set furniture for hello kitty’s room including a wardrobe, bed, and im sure other stuff but i mainly remember really liking this pear wardrobe they had. you could also feed hello kitty these treats that looked way too good but it was always a bit hard and somewhat creepy because you had to bring the food up to her mouth but… she didn’t really HAVE a mouth. I always found it weird because when you got it right there would be a little bite mark in the food but idk how she made it without moving her nonexistent mouth. there was a good amount of mini games in there too themed after different Sanrio characters, with a badtz-maru cafeteria mini game where you had to serve hot dogs to different tables,and my favorite a jewel pet ruby themed juice bar which is why i thought the game mentioned was the same thing! they also had badminton which you could unlock. idk who it was themed after but there was badminton!! that was the last game you could unlock though so i kinda just stopped playing after i unlocked it but that game was my favorite as a child, i thought more people knew about it but i guess its more obscure than i thought.
There is a hello kitty cartoon I remember so distinctly, where Hello Kitty has a sister named Mimi (I think?) and they learn little lessons. The one that's the clearest in my head is an episode where Kitty and her sister find a doughnut on the counter and try to figure out how to split it and eat it. When they do, it Crumbles and makes a mess, causing Kitty to start crying. Their mother comes in to see what's wrong and finds the doughnut crumbs and crying kitty and tries to comfort her, saying that the doughnuts were for them anyways, that batch just was made with too much of some ingredient causing it to crumble. The mom gave them other doughnuts, but kitty was too upset to eat it, feeling guilty about taking it without asking. I'm not sure what cartoon that was but it's so distinct in my mind and I haven't been able to find it again--

I know a little bit more about kittys level for the backrooms, so basically it’s a safe level that if you bring kitty a soft cute pink toy ( like a plushie or something) he will befriend you and follow you around. You can actually live in this level, there’s like wifi, food, and other stuff in there. There’s like a video on this and it’s not really hard to find. Just look up “kittys level backrooms” and I’m sure you will find it.

Just a warning, Kitty(the backrooms entity) dont jumpscare you at all, it just follows you throught the level looking at you, she is not agressive at all, but because her appearence, I see a lot of people saying that she tries to kill you or scares you, she doesnt.
The level and the entity is not bad at all, the level itself is a safe level where you can stay for how much time you want, as I said, Kitty only stares at you, leaving you with a unconfy feeling, but she doesnt harm you at all.
Ik is not so important, but Kitty is so loveable, and seeing people portrait her as an agressive entity makes me sad :(

One of the things that's missing in the iceberg is the movie Chirin No Suzu (Ringing Bell). The film was made by Sanrio and is about a lamb who's mother gets killed by a wolf. The lamb wants to get revenge on the wolf for killing his mother and actually gets trained alongside the wolf himself to become stronger. It's probably one of the darkest things Sanrio has produced as far as I know.

Miffy’s original name is Nijntje (pronounced “NINE-tcha”). She is a beloved Dutch children’s cartoon character!
In Dutch, the word for rabbit is “konijn” (ko-NINE), and adding a “je” or “tje” at the end of a word makes it diminutive. She also has a last name, Pluis (pronounced like the name “klaus,” but with a p instead of a k), the Dutch word for “lint.”
So essentially, Miffy’s real name is Dust Bunny. Which I find so damn precious.

-beetroid. robot beetles. not much else to say.
-kero kero kerroppi and freinds, a straight to video cartoon series featuring keroppi, and shorts about other characters suck as pekkle and badtz-maru. this series had an English release, that for some reason left out badtz-maru
-hello kitty animation theater(not to be confused with furry tale theater), a show made in 2000 featuring sanrio characters who portrayed fairy tales, including... the little match girl, for some reason.
-during the 1970s and 80s, sanrio video produced a bunch of children's animated films, such as the mouse and his child, the ringing bell, the water prince and the fire child, and a journey through fairyland. almost all of these films have some sort of dark or sad subject matter.
- sanrio can be really stingy with copyright, and tends to crack down on independent creators who use their characters in products.
-caribadix. a product line featuring button-eyes cat characters, it was later adapted into an anime that i for the life of me cannot find anywhere.

Some information about the project that where possibly omitted (and just general funfacts not commonly known) and I wanted to mention as well as clearing some possible misonceptions:
-(clarification)The project is targeted at both male, and female, as well as the general mature audience (working adults), and not just the male audience itself.
-In the spirit of Sanrio collaborating with many companies, Show By Rock!! has collaborated with bands such as Silhouette from the Skylit, Maximum the Hormon, and BIGMAMA to name a few (the in-universe bands to these ones would be called "tie-in bands and their counterparts have a different name to their irl band names as well as mascots to represent each band member). They've also have collaborated with individual performers as well (the singing voice for the character "Marimari" is Marie Ueda, for example).
-(clarification)The project's official release year is 2012 (not 2013), with them releasing the very first rhythm mobile game "Show By Rock!!" under the company "Geechs (ギークス株式会社)", the bands "Plasmagica" and "SHINGANCRIMSONZ" being the main faces of the franchise at that time. This rhythm game ended its service in Decemeber 2019 and 2020 was when "SHOW BY ROCK!! Fes A Live" (the one showcased in the video) took its place and was under the company Square Enix until its recent shutdown in November 2022 (an offline mode is available for those who have already played the game and downloaded the data before its shutdown).
-The franchise currently has a total of 4 Live Musical (2.5D Stage Plays) adaptations, mainly centered around the boy bands (Show By Rock!! Fes II Thousand XVII, Kyousou no Bloody Labyrinth, Abyss's Cross Ambivalence, and -DOKONJO NORTH HIGH SCHOOL- The Reflection of Night and Black (a digest video with english subtitles can be watched on their official channel) ).
-Show By Rock!! has an official youtube channel under the name "SHOW BY ROCK!! Official Channel" (@ showbyrock4835).
-(somewhat off topic but also still related) Sanrio has two official VTubers "Mashima Himeko (となりの研究生マシマヒメコ。)" and "Natsumerenge (なつめれんげ)". -Sanrio started a new project called "Maimaigoen (まいまいまいごえん)". I'm currently not too familiar with this IP, but as far as I know, it's their first ever project that leans a bit towards the horror-esque route. There's currently a manga and game out for this IP.

Wikipedia says that the primary target audience of Show by Rock is young boys. I think their claim is sourced although I'd have to double check. Where did you read that it was aimed at mature audiences>
Gonna add a few more here, since I kind of came here just for Show By Rock as well.
The franchise name is often -nicely- abbreviated in Japanese as _SB69_, as "69" can be pronounced "ro-ku" using goroawase. Its reputation as being for older audiences is mainly because it features and homages genres of music that wouldn't appeal to young children.
-There were actually two Show By Rock games. The original was active from 2013 until its end of service in 2019, and _Show By Rock!! Fes A Live_ launching shortly afterwards in 2020 and retaining most of the previous game's content, before ending service last November. The third and fourth anime seasons are adaptions of _Fes A Live_ specifically.
-The SB69 games were only released in Japanese, though the anime was both released globally both with subtitles and dubbed. I'm not sure whether that was due to a language barrier, all songs in the game being in Japanese, or due to copyright issues.
-Both games are rhythm genre mobile games in the same vein as the TapTap series, but contain gacha mechanics. The player assembles a band out of a number of obtainable cards each representing a band member.
-Characters in Show By Rock have both a human (or humanoid, rather, seeing as how most are kemonomimi) form, as well as a more chibi form in the style of more traditional Sanrio characters, which is called a "Myumon". -Kana Yaginuma/Yaginupan of A crow is white/Shirorakurosuka? is the only musician known to have requested a specific Myumon species. She wanted to be a panda, her favorite animal, but as Shirorakurosuka? is a group composed of migratory birds, she became a panda/bird hybrid as a compromise.
-If you've ever seen a GIF of Cyan (the girl at 25:42) doing a cute little dance, it's from the anime's Season 2 opening.

Oh my god, I remember Cathy!! My parents didn't have much money when I was a kid, so any Sanrio merch I had was a lot older. When I got older and was able to get more up-to-date merch, I was so upset to not see her, especially because I never knew why she was gone. Thanks for mentioning her, and letting me find out what happened to her. I miss her, but get why she was retired.
you missed a few characters which makes me kinda sad lol, but i feel like theres only a couple that are kinda worth knowing so, Lloromantic are two little devil characters from the Cinnamoroll world, they serve as antagonists as well. Their names are Cherry (a pink devil with a fashionable hat) and Berry (a black devil with horns) they also have the ability to change their appearance to be more evil I guess, but I dont really know. And the other character is Cogimyun who is a little character made out of wheat flower! She's super cute and underated :)

I was hoping I would hear of Hello Kitty's twin sister Mimmy in the video! It was an amazing video but I grew up having watched this one Sanrio anime from the early 2000s called "Hello Kitty: Ringo no Mori" or Hello Kitty : The Apple Forest. It went over Mimmy and Kitty's adventure in their world, using a special charm and powder and eventually go in another world inhabited by human looking fairy-like beings. I vividly remember the two evil chipmunks from it too, it was hilarious... The villain Akuro (Mimmy turned evil by a really scary villain for a child) just wanted to turn everything black it was pretty wild

This was a really fascinating video! I’d also like to point out that Sanrio has 2 mobile games, Hello Kitty World 2 and Hello Sweet Days. I’m pretty sure they aren’t all that well known but I stumbled across them recently and have really enjoyed playing them
The other Sanrio stores out of Japan, which I believe was even before the US markets, were in the Philippines under the chain Gift Gate, who are the official distributors of Sanrio and Lego products during the late 70s and early 80s.

Aggretsuko/Aggressive Retsuko started out in 2016, not 2018. There was a series of 90-second long shorts that released weekly up until the first season of the full-length anime aired. It has the same cast, but there are differences to some of the characters, most obviously their names. It got released worldwide, but I think it had a different distribution channel which is why it isn't as well known and unfortunately probably doesn't belong in the top layer.

Sanrio also did a collab with Nintendo of a game called Splatoon 2, a multiplayer online game. During this collab, they did a splatfest event and if anyone did know what splatfest is? It basically having two team theme of you having a option of which is the best theme during this event. For example, Ketchup vs Mayo, Cats Vs Dogs, and so on. Back of this collab, is based on popular characters from Sanrio and during the final result, My Melody won the whole splatfest event. Unfortunately this event was only a Japanese exclusive event, but latest they have gameplay footage on TH-cam. That's pretty much it about this collab, love the iceberg narrator from covering up the history of Sanrio!
wanted to mention that sanrio has produced quite a few movies that weren’t mentioned. i’m a big fan of the sea prince and the fire child in particular. there’s even a scene in this movie where creatures very similar to cinnamoroll are seen flying through the sky/ocean. unico is in two movies and there’s some really cute characters in those. a journey through fairyland is another sanrio movie and this one actually featured several sanrio characters in a brief musical sequence, namely hello kitty, little twin stars, my melody, strawberry king, and more. i’m a big fan of sanrio movies and i never hear them talked about so i just wanted to mention these lil fun facts :)

I never got to watch seasons 2 & 3, so i’m not sure what exactly happens. The intro also includes Hello Kitty’s parents, Mimmy, Fifi, Badtz maru’s parents, cinna’s friends, and a few more.

Very uncommon opinion but chococat is my fav Sanrio character ever! And has been sense I was little. I own a ton of his merchandise including a backpack, wallet, sweatshirt, shirt, bucket hat, bracelet, earrings, necklace, plushies and more! I can’t tell you haw much I love this character and it’s very sad that he is not very popular and I think he deserves way more popularity.
There used to be Sanrio Stores in Indonesia, I visited some. They closed around 2015-2016, from what ive heard; they didn't get new item stocks from the official Sanrio warehouse so they were basically left ignored and they soon closed.

Kitty is pretty scary, but he is actually harmless. The only weird thing about Kitty is that he stalks the wanderers as they rest in level 974. I did heard from ppl on tiktok that Kitty is actually pretty helpful and if you give Kitty a gift (has to be an item resembling cute/kawaii aesthetics and in the color pink), Kitty will be able to help you to the next level and doesn't mind that you rest in this level; however, I don't know who accurate that information is. You will even find food in this Level.

There is one collab Sanrio did that may not be of importance to you, but in 2016, Sanrio did one with P&G (the company that owns the Pampers brand) to make Hello Kitty-themed Pampers Easy Ups training underwear, which is fancy talk for "training pants" or "pull-ups". They were redesigned with the same Hello Kitty brand in 2017 with different designs of the character on them, until in 2018 onward they were replaced with DreamWorks Trolls characters for the designs, and then MLP:FiM. Not saying the MLP ones outshine the Hello Kitty ones, but they're equal in cuteness. And don't worry, Nintendo once owned a chain of love hotels for adults in Japan when they first started out as a company. They made hanafuda cards as Nintendo Playing Card Co., and they own the Seattle Mariners.

Something that wasn't mentioned here that I remember from when I was a kid was this Nintendo DS game about Hello Kitty and friends preparing for a party. I remember playing it for hours as a kid, and it's also how I remember all of the Hello Kitty character's names I guess. When I saw Usahana in this video I was so confused how I knew her, because I knew I loved her but I couldn't seem to place a finger on where I knew her from, turns out, it was from the DS game! There are also some pretty funny memes floating around about Usahana because in the game she was party of the group of friends making dinner, which means she got to hold a knife lol.

I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the game that i had, but i do remember a lot of details vividly! you could get different pre set furniture for hello kitty’s room including a wardrobe, bed, and im sure other stuff but i mainly remember really liking this pear wardrobe they had. you could also feed hello kitty these treats that looked way too good but it was always a bit hard and somewhat creepy because you had to bring the food up to her mouth but… she didn’t really HAVE a mouth. I always found it weird because when you got it right there would be a little bite mark in the food but idk how she made it without moving her nonexistent mouth. there was a good amount of mini games in there too themed after different Sanrio characters, with a badtz-maru cafeteria mini game where you had to serve hot dogs to different tables,and my favorite a jewel pet ruby themed juice bar which is why i thought the game mentioned was the same thing! they also had badminton which you could unlock. idk who it was themed after but there was badminton!! that was the last game you could unlock though so i kinda just stopped playing after i unlocked it but that game was my favorite as a child, i thought more people knew about it but i guess its more obscure than i thought.
There is a hello kitty cartoon I remember so distinctly, where Hello Kitty has a sister named Mimi (I think?) and they learn little lessons. The one that's the clearest in my head is an episode where Kitty and her sister find a doughnut on the counter and try to figure out how to split it and eat it. When they do, it Crumbles and makes a mess, causing Kitty to start crying. Their mother comes in to see what's wrong and finds the doughnut crumbs and crying kitty and tries to comfort her, saying that the doughnuts were for them anyways, that batch just was made with too much of some ingredient causing it to crumble. The mom gave them other doughnuts, but kitty was too upset to eat it, feeling guilty about taking it without asking.
I'm not sure what cartoon that was but it's so distinct in my mind and I haven't been able to find it again--
