I've got a lot of respect for these cooks. They are able to make tasty, affordable meals with a camera watching them.
They went to the worst places in Singapore. One was the Asia equivalent to McDonald's. One place the food was so over cooked it they had literally broken the cellular walls of the pork and it was falling apart. Not in a good way.
This is the first time I've been disappointed and not believed in one of their videos.
A note to how I know, I'm an Executive Chef of 30 years.
@@Facetiously.Esoteric did you just compare yakun to macdonalds? that's blasphemy
@@xDCloudStrifexD No, it's truth. Just because you have no taste in food doesn't mean the rest of don't either.
@@Facetiously.Esoteric ok boomer
@@Facetiously.Esoterictheres always this 1 guy who think he has a better palate just bcus he doesnt like something that lots of others like.. u r this guy lol
Crazy how some people think they need to only go to a fancy place for good food but some of the best is street vendors. That food looked so good
Often street vendors are focusing on one food, can be better for people with allergies. Hard to mess up something you practice constantly and have all the ingredients for in front of you, plus you can see that the kitchen isn’t dirty. Honestly this is the way I would go.
I've never been to a restaurant before
Restaurants offer more than just food. Ambience and service are part of what you pay for too + the fancy ones you are talking about need to regularly rework their menu to keep things fresh. Street vendors are in a completely different niche, often focus just on 1 thing that they keep doing for years or decades and it's often hard to find the really good ones. Both things in general offer just a different experience. People are allowed to prefer one over the other.
@Wolfsschamane ok? I wasn't saying people should only like one lol. I enjoy going to restaurants AND street vendors. We have one street vendor that has the best fish and chips around 😆
he wasn’t saying u were saying ppl shld only like 1
I say this a lot, but just in case you happen to read my comment one day, I love how excited your partner is when trying the foods, she is the cutest lady! ❤
"..so good it leaves you feeling loved!"
Might be the best compliment I have heard.
Im in love how she smiles every time when try new food! She's amazing!❤😊
Shander Teo.
She likes a big fat P 😂😂 nothing cute at all. Are u serious or kidding ???
I like how she smiles, but the fact that she is also overreacting is so fucking annoying (don’t fight me please, my opinion only)
She’s a full laden troop ship ready to go for war.
Agree with you. I am thinking the same. She almost shake the table.
I was not having the best of day, but seeing her happy reaction to the food being sooo good made my day better! So adorable!
All Hail the 'Ms. Bacon Yum Dance'!
The South Indian thalis looked amazing. Perhaps you could do a food tour of veggie/vegan places in Singapore for a future video? I think Singapore is supposed to be one of the best Asian cities outside India for vegetarian food.
You can get amazing South Indian Thali even in the US too and cheaper than Singapore.
@@jeyalakshmisivaramapillai1869 neither taste anything like Indian in India
More than anything else, I admire how clean and almost spotless all these places are. People seem to respect and observe the laws regarding keeping the dining room and food areas very sanitary.
In Singapore the eateries are under very strict control. You’re out of bsuiness if somehting goes wrong basically.
I visited Singapore in '86. Chicken curry for 80 cents at Newton Circus. Best ever. I love Singapore
My family lived in singapore when I was very little (2-4 years old) but they would always tell me about going to Komala Vilas. We finally went to Singapore again in December 2019 and we went to eat there and I love the huge bhatura
Yo
idk if that woman is your friend or family or wife or what but she's my favorite part of the videos. she's absolutely adorable and the way she can say so much about the level of quality of the food without even a single word is cool as hell. you can paint me a picture with your words and that's impressive too but her reactions alone are all it takes to make me want the food!
Agree, a shake of the head with a hint of a smile while making a kinda "ghost sitting on a washing machine during spin cycle" kinda noise says more than a 1000 words.
@@mikewright84 my ultimate favorite is her little dance she does sometimes when she likes the food bc i do that too and it makes me less embarrassed remembering i'm not the only one lol. also it's just adorable
Delicious way to end the year... Happy new year everyone!
I want to commend the Tai Hwa Eating House for their diligence in food safety. Facemask and when the owner handled cash, he washed his hand with alcohol after. I really appreciate that
Can u recommend any must try food ?
I love you're videos. I actually need to catch up. I have missed the last month and a half! 😢 but im back and ready for the best TH-camr out there. So relaxing.
I just love how excited Mrs.Bacon gets when the food is so good!!!😊 Mr. Bacon says, The food was so good that it leaves you feeling loved ❤
You two are such cuties. 🧡
Happy New Year, Bacons 🎉
Happy new year!! Thank you for your support!!
All food looks so delicious❤
i love ur channel, i swear i get hungry while watching these!!❤❤🤤
Nothing beats getting Mrs. Bacon's approval on an already delicious looking meal. Because, a dish could look good, but only the gourmet's approval completes the picture.
Thank you for sharing these delicious meals. 🙏
PS: that Michelin approval it is just an arbitrary. Michelin doesn't even divulge their "expert voters' names." I rather see TH-cam videos like yours giving an approval or vote.
You can see that Chef/owner Hawker Chan is pressured but calm at the same time! This is professionalism right there
Greetings from NYC 🇺🇸
The opening scene in this video is absolutely awesome. Thanks for a great video.
This is so awesome guys!!! Thank you so much for this content and you and your wife have such amazing foods. I envy the appreciation thats expressed when food is great. Take care and God bless!! :)

Myself and my kids really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work. Much love from England 😎🤟💜
What a great selection of food!
just saved me from my boredom, thank you!
Everything looked amazing!
The Bacons such foodies 🥰 and that rib at the end….so tender 🤤
Just in time for me to relax with the family 😁🫶🏽
As usual, seeing Mrs. Bacons' yum yum face and big smile is a huge part of the appeal of these videos! If ever I go to Singapore, I will seek out all these places and then some.
Going to Singapore in a few days, thanks for the video! 😁
thats some of the best looking noodle dish ive seen!
Love love love the food in Singapore
Wow.. scrumptious 😋 & thanks for sharing. Happy healthy new year too.
This lady is adorable. Her eyes light up! I love her little squeaks of pleasure when something is really good
Some of my absolute favorite spots ❤
Singapore is such a sleeper travel destination. Many people don’t realize how beautiful it is
Awesome video. There's so many great Singaporean food especially street food from Singapore is the best to watch. I hope I would love to go one day. 😊
Wow what a beautiful place 🤩
Your videos are so soothing 😊
The Putu Piring you had is very similar to a Bangladeshi dish called Bhapa Pitha, which is also made by steaming rice flour pancakes with coconut and brown sugar molasses. I love seeing different cultures sharing similar foods!
I was about to say it!!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰.......At 1st glance I was like "Thatclooks like vapa pitha" until the making process was shown.....Then I was like "definitely a vapa pitha minus the durian paste, 😂😂"
i was just about to say this lol, even the filling looks like the gur and coconut mixture!
indian origin./... mainly south india....
indians wanna claim everything@@user-ku2gy5dh8q
@@user-ku2gy5dh8q No. You are mistakenly placing Bhapa pitha in the same category as Idli. Bhapa pitha is strongly associated with Bengal (specifically Bangladesh) and East Indian (mainly Assamese) culture. While it may have a similar base as Idli, there is no substantial evidence that it originated in South India.
I really love this video - it made me so hungry lol
YAY STREET FOOD! My favorite
Watching this video to prep for my Singapore trip in 2 weeks time 😅 Thanks, Dancing Bacon!
Thanks for this list!
omg i missed watching your singapore videos sm
Wah finally back to Singapore ❤
Singapore is my Holy Grail foodie destination. :D Thank you for a preview!
That is the most amazing food I wish I tasted the food it all sounds delious and making me very hungry when watching the video
I like cheap street food too. It's good to go when I go to Singapore.
I always like these videos because the food looks so appealing :D
Changi is so beautiful. I want to visit one day!
I travelled to singapore in 2022 and watching the Kaya toast made me miss it so much 😭😭 we ate it every morning for 9 days straight - I need to go back ASAP
You are so happy that i feel happy. I truly enjoy watching your videos... Keep smiling. I am a 71year old women, who is in a part of the world where it is so sad right now. I love your reactions to the food you are eating.
Great to see again!
Beautiful !
All the food looked delicious & great price too 😋🍜Thanks DancingBacons 💃🏼🥓
I love how she absolutely loves food.
I love the use of technology you guys come across, very futuristic 😂. Food looks amazing ! 🍱 🍲
I want to do a happy dace too!! My gosh looks amazing!!
Xin nian hao from Australia. I'm trying to save my pennies to get back to the Little Red Dot. I lived there for two years over 50 years ago and fell in love with both Singapore and Malaysia.
I could watch aunties and uncles preparing food all day. so much skill and speed from so many years of practice.
I remember eating at Komala Villas over 30 years ago. I went with a group of other people staying at the same backpacker I was staying at on Beach Road- which will be long gone. I couldn't decide on what to have, so they gave me a huge thali plate with a little bit of probably a dozen dishes selected by the chefs. It was all paling sedap dan enak2!
That chicken looks incredible!!!
Her reactions are always so funny and joyful😅
nice video promoting local street food . more videos like in this in near future . looks tasty and delicious hope to visit there someday and try your country street food .
Welcome back to Singapore 😍😍❤️
น่าอร่อย🤤
Putu piring in our country (Bangladesh) is called " Vapa Pitha" ( steamed rice cake). Here, normal one is made with coconut and jaggery and special one with dry fruit and nut + normal ingredients. I never thought people in other country also eat this. Thanks @dancingbacon for exploring diverse foods. Also love your indian food Exploration. Hope you also try Bangladeshi foods
It's also here in West Bengal
in bengal, india as well!!
Beautiful Place👍
this all looks so delicious
your streetfood looks tasty and yummy hope i can go there in your country and taste it . nice video too promoting local food .
I would love to try the putu piring. I love everything about that including coconut, the coconut sugar, and especially pandan. I grew to love pandan when I cooked with my good friend from Malaysia, and I wish it would catch on as a flavor in the US, similar to vanilla but not quite. I would probably try the durian, too. I had it one time, the description “onion pudding” that some people use is accurate, but if added to a bun or cake I can see it being better.
a Delicious food video...yummy
So beautiful! And the food looks delicious!😊
We got a Hawker Chan in our country! Been a while since I ate there.
Also Kaya Toast. I miss Kaya Toast. Used to split a Kaya Toast set with my grandpa when he was alive. For a while after we discovered it, he was obsessed with soft boiled eggs. I miss him a bit whenever I see Kaya Toast and soft boiled eggs
All of these foods sound amazing, but if I ever go to Singapore I'd love to try that Indian place for dosai! I haven't had dosai in years, and that looked like a great feast!
It looked really clean and the food was beautiful.
Its not called dosai it's dosa
@@hiraeth15it's dosai in Tamil Nadu and the restaurant is clearly run by Tamil people
Happy holidays!
Lots of respect to the Hawkers... They have to produce a lot for very low fees, and are kinda trapped in that price range... Tks for taking some time to show some love to the locals in Singapore... In my 10+ yrs traveling to Singapore, still love my fav hawker stalls and really could use pointers to those that are really good and don't get a lot of love and are should trys... cheers...
I literally just ate a big dinner and now I'm hungry again... BUT hungry again specifically for everything in this video only... -_-
I really really really want to visit Singapore!!
That’s a beautiful waterfall.
Welcome back to Singapore, DancingBacons!
These chefs are incredible! Wow! Just watching them prepare your food was mesmerizing
@ 12:53 I can hear "private party" tamil song at the indian restaurant 😀
really nice waterfall
0:08 wow that is lovely.
Dancing bacons love the content Happy New Year
Amazing place!
your Expression WHEN you taste the food ... Epic !!!
The south indian thalis made me drool.... I miss having it😭❤
Something I learned many years ago (decades in fact!) if you want tasty food at a reasonable price......go where the locals go.
2:28 beautiful smile 😊
Happy New Year to you both.
I remember seeing Hawker Chan for the first time on a Great Big Story video. Nice to see that he's still doing well but also kind of sad that he lost his Michelin star.
Oh man, those soy sauce chicken noodles look AMAZING
Its really cool to see how different cultures and world continents eat! In the western world, especially in The Netherlands, we don`t eat raw eggs or anything in this video! Even cooler to see it!
