Another great video. I've always ran my antenna from a tail light mount on driver's side. Just be sure and run a ground strap from mount to tub. It'll keep swr low. I've also saw a few front inner fender mounts that may work. I've never ran a solar panel as I have a soft top. Since you have a hard top it could mount to that almost flush with roof line.

Oh yea, I think that's pretty standard on pre-2007 wranglers. My antenna was mounted in the same way before the roof rack. In fact I have the mount lying around, and I plan to utilize it again.

JLs have fancy racks that actually go through the hardtop and bolt onto the cage inside. Bud maintain a very low profile even when the rack is not installed. They are pretty trick.

How about raising the garage? Lol. I mean that will make the shop bigger, right? ;).
Hope the new digs work out Mark! Looking forward to seeing more!
Also, so this is maybe silly, but what about drilling through the top, installing some bars through it to the roll bar the bring the height down? You’d have to reseal the holes somehow, but maybe that would allow for better placement of the rack?

Ha! If only it was the easy lol!!
I think things will work out well, we shall see though.
You know, there was a company at one point who used to make a rack like this for the TJ/LJ I don't think they exist anymore. However, if I can get a hold of another hard top, this would be a good test to see what happens. You are right though, not only would it bring the height down, but you could make the rack stronger and lighter since the support points are in a better location....
Hmmmmmmm. I'll have to think about this one more.

Hey, thank you! I really try to make things sound and look as a "Professional Home Mechanic" can, haha. The mic is a Deity V Lav, amzn.to/3lfQmdm.
