yeah, that's what I know too, it was recorded live She consistently leans her neck to the right when hitting high notes which is typical of her when she sings live.
Her vocals are being done in real time with the video? No way... the quality of the sound seems too good, without any signs of a mic in the frame, so I just assumed it was pre-recorded.

Yeah, there's a lot of "cheating" going in the mixing of this video. Their musical director made a BTS video here: th-cam.com/video/N300LcPv7ZE/w-d-xo.html He's done things like duplicating voices for more richness (OK, not as egregious), using an octaver to drop his voice down an octave for more bass, then actually adding real drum kicks and high hats where he is "beatboxing", and later in the song, he uses a bunch of instruments (9:25 and 15:30 of the video). Yeah, that's not cool and is not "a cappella".
I don't know this acapella group well, but I know Pentatonix very well...and those bg sounds would be nothing for Kevin to produce vocally. It's practically his bread and butter. So my point is I'm assuming other people can also do this.
