This was done on her birthday the 2nd of June 2020, All the proceeds that were raised went to a charity, what a beautiful gesture from the world's greatest FEMALE ARTIST 🇬🇧🔥👌❤️.
This was during the pandemic where everyone was locked at home for 2 yrs. MORISSETTE was recording at home her part. Everyone did their parts at home and their parts were sent and consolidated to make this upload. If you notice this is the same simple home backdrop of teardrop LED lights she used when she recorded Defying Gravity.

This is my favorite version of Rise Up. Love Morissette.
THIS (acapella version of Rise Up w/ 3rd Avenue) and the SUNSET version of 'Love You Still' are MY TOP TWO performances of Morissette. If I recall correctly, Morissette released this at the height of the pandemic (and the serious lockdowns in the Philippines) and it gave me goosebumps and tears hearing it for the first time. During the two years of the pandemic, she was an anchor to a lot of people through her live stream and personality. This was one of them, I remember this was released on a significant day, could be her 24th birthday. Thank you for posting this. Thank you, Mori for all you did during those hard times.

Great reacton. I really think you will LOVE her Wish Bus performance of this song. I think Andra Day is a phenomenal artist but, for me, her cover is the Gold Standard. It just hits different for me and no matter how many times I watch it my eyes well up.

The third avenue is her musical director's band. He was the basis in the Bruno Mars medley and many other clips she did. Adonis Tabanda is his name and he also sings on this clip.

She consistently leans her neck to the right when hitting high notes which is typical of her when she sings live.
Her vocals are being done in real time with the video? No way... the quality of the sound seems too good, without any signs of a mic in the frame, so I just assumed it was pre-recorded.
@@MarcDanielPatrick you are still surprised by her singing. She is that good, sometimes too good that people acuse her of lipsync.

She by far is the only one who gives me that effect, which to me sets her apart from other singers. Well, Regine actually does too, but something about Mori that I cant quite put my finger on it.

Haven’t heard this in awhile! Damn girl!! The control and power is always dumbfounding. I actually agree with you on the drag in the song. Fortunately Adonis has the ultimate eraser in Morissette’s vocals.
Your out of body experience high power feeling when listening to her is definitely shared amongst all Mowienatics. The expression “Take Me To Church” comes to mind and used frequently when listening to her performances.
In my opinion her Wish Bus version of this cover is the one that was perfect. Everything you wanted was in the Wish Bus performance. The runs and riffs the beautiful and effortless transitions the amazing agility the full control of her belts the growls and vocal breaks was all there. I highly recommend it!

Adonis Tabanda ( top left box ) has lead his group 3RD AVE last 8 or 9 years, and have backed up Mori since 2016, as he is her musical director. You're welcome. This chic has a phenomenal voice and her fans remind you every reaction video. While on one hand it may be driving traffic because you are still fresh to the game, on the other hand... it's becoming too much based on them "coming for you" in the comment section. You can always keep it fun with an occasional clapback case of who did it best to ease in other artist, talent and subscribers. Something seriously has to give. It's not the Morissette fan channel and trust she has a lot of competition out there but it's all a matter of opinion. I like your brutal honesty. I for one am a Whitney Houston fan "the voice" and admire the many contemporaries she influenced even till this day. Love Celine for her emotional connection and Mariah for her "whistle register"... 3 singers aka the vocal trinity and blueprint to pop singing. You are usually spot on in your reactions and I love that you stick to your original opinion until otherwise new info comes along to change it. I knew about the Wish Bus version but you are judging this one performance. Its like me learning Whitney Houston singing to a cold mic our National Anthem not by choice but at the direction of her band director. Viewers still connect to the song because she is actually singing "gospel jaw' and all to a cold mic (different from lip syncing) 🙏 😆 🤣

Perhaps it's because, maybe, although the cover is in a practical sense about her, it's also not about her as she lends herself to the purpose of the music, hence the sense of a "higher power" ...

He's done things like duplicating voices for more richness (OK, not as egregious), using an octaver to drop his voice down an octave for more bass, then actually adding real drum kicks and high hats where he is "beatboxing", and later in the song, he uses a bunch of instruments (9:25 and 15:30 of the video). Yeah, that's not cool and is not "a cappella".

I don't know this acapella group well, but I know Pentatonix very well...and those bg sounds would be nothing for Kevin to produce vocally. It's practically his bread and butter. So my point is I'm assuming other people can also do this.

we understand that percussion was Dave's idea, and Mori loves Dave. But these are all hearsay. Any criticism on the arrangement should be directed to the musical director, Adonis Tabanda. I am sure he will learn. He was also the guy who arranged the Bruno medley. He's got two panels when they showed eight panels.

We mowienatics knows that this cover is not perfect, but sir please tell us what is it, we fans, most of us needs some Constructive criticism, and yes! Maybe some might be angry to you but it's your channel 😉 and a real fan can accept some feedback "REAL FEEDBACK"
imo perfect vs. not perfect is not the best lens to look through, because there's a fair bit of subjectivity that goes into music and thus the subsequent reaction videos. So to say "we know this cover is not perfect"...I dunno if everyone is going to agree with that (and that's ok). Marc does do what I personally care for the most in a reactor, which is to give their honest opinion in a respectful way, so I'm 100% with you on that 🙂 Sometimes I agree with him, other times I don't, but I always appreciate his approach to his videos.
