I love that he got to see our country's favorite past time and of course Yankee Stadium. It's a beautiful stadium I just wish he could of seen the old stadium where such legendary Yankee Baseball was played for years. It was so different and for those of us that got to see games there its a memory never to be forgotten.

This is something that only happens once in a lifetime because we have one and hopefully Cubans on my island can have it because the United States is beautiful
It's probably more than culture shock. Cuba has always been aware of American institutions. Some of this is pre-Revolution (baseball and Yankee Stadium), some post, despite the government's efforts to prevent it. The only comparable feeling would be like an American actually going to the Emerald City (The Wizard of Oz being probably the most universal cultural common denominator). The dream becomes reality.

As a New Yorker and Yankee fan (Yankee Fans in my family for 90 years), I am glad to see Yoel enjoy this. I still remember at the old (original) Yankee Stadium watching the legendary Cuban Pitcher Orlando Hernandez playing in his first season after coming to America from Cuba. I wish I had known when you were in NYC back in June (I missed the post back then that you were in), I could have given you a tour of things Yoel would enjoy experiencing. But so glad to see this

I'm almost 70 years old and grew up in a baseball family. I was fortunate to live between Dodger stadium and Angels stadium. My very First Dodger game was at the L.A. I used to live there. I can actually point to the building I used to live in when I was a child in this video. And the sad thing is I've never been inside the Yankee stadium. The closest I've been was when the subway dropped is off at the stadium station. It was just a place to me. Watching these videos makes me see that for some people it's a dream.

I’ve taken my kids to many Marlins games, and 2 seasons ago, took them to a game at Yankee Stadium. Last year, they took me to Boston for a Red Sox game for Father’s Day. Loved sharing those experiences. As Cubans, I hope you plan on hitting Miami. Most of my students are Cuban, and I’ve shared some of your videos. They were shocked at Yoel’s English. Some of my students have only been here for weeks or months, and I always stress that they should speak English within a year. I’m a gringo, but my late wife was Peruvian. That was the advice they received when they arrived, and the family has done quite well.
I’m always in tears when I watch your videos. I need to stop watching because I’m at work and I can’t have anybody seeing me tear up 😂😂. God Bless You both 🙏🏼
