    Great overview. I'm going to link this video in the description section of my review on the DL 5&7 suppressors.

      Adam you beat me to commenting about your upcoming event and I definitely want to try these out in November. Love my Griffin Armament suppressors

    I am absolutely getting one of each of these new dual lok cans. The 556 and 30cal are very nice. I got hands on one at my local shop today and the new mount is really awesome. If it didn’t lock in rotating the lock collar one way it would lock in going the other way. Super cool reliable mount setup!

    Love mine. Super light and the mounting system works well. The back pressure isn't bad at all. This is coming from a lefty who is used to gas in the face.

    Nicely done. Love seeing a company video that actually explains how things work.

    These are slick! It's just an extra benefit to the taper mount system. Best of both worlds

    Just want to say I love this suppressor I just bought one and lucky my FFL goes to the same range and he brings it so I can use. On a Geissele 11.5 just a tiny amount of gas only notice after string of fire and on a 16 in criterion no blow back gas. Can’t wait to finish my 14.5 build with mk1 patrol upper to try it out; oh yeah btw I also have a recce 5 in jail at another ffl

    Love it! Going to see the flow through endcap portion on the tradition taper offerings?

    • @GriffinArmamentOfficial
      @GriffinArmamentOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Likely not, that end cap design is specific to this line of suppressors.

    There's no way to safely remove the baffles at home to clean out the inside of the suppressor? I ordered the HRT 5.56 and can't wait for it to arrive!

    • @GriffinArmamentOfficial
      @GriffinArmamentOfficial  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Unfortunately no, the DUAL-LOK line is not user-serviceable. However, you shouldn't need to worry about maintenance since 5.56 cartridges are very clean and high pressure, so any build up of carbon or debris should burn out very easily. If you feel as that it needs cleaning around the mounting collar, you can take a 1" pipe brush and thoroughly rotate in and out until satisfied. Some users decide to drop the whole silencer into an ultrasonic cleaner, though be aware this can ruin the cerakote finishing

    I wonder about the exposed springs. Like if fort gets there it’s gonna lock something up, right?

  • @CivilianOperators
    @CivilianOperators 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Maybe I missed it in the video… can a 7.62 can mount to a 5.56 muzzle device? Like if I got 7.62 version to use on both calibers…

    Awesome. I really like my Recce 5 already. And I dig the weight.
    How do these compare as far as sound with the Recce 5?

    • @GriffinArmamentOfficial
      @GriffinArmamentOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Recce 5 is going to have the superior sound reduction between the 2 suppressors, but these do very well with sound also. The tone may be different between the 2 due to slightly different baffle designs as well as different flash hider end cap designs

  • @tylergoldstein
    @tylergoldstein 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Is using the dual port paladin brake vs the tactical compensator likely to cause a difference in sound when a suppressor is mounted?

    • @GriffinArmamentOfficial
      @GriffinArmamentOfficial  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Based on our own internal testing, we haven't found any additional or noticeable sound suppression from using those muzzle devices. You'll still be within hearing safe levels with either device!

  • @mexicangator
    @mexicangator 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So it’s a tubeless Recce 5 with a taper mount + a dual lok collar locking mechanism in addition to the taper mount?

  • @frostyheat22
    @frostyheat22 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do y'all have plenty of the Dual Lok 7s being made or already made? Just asking because I placed a backorder with silencer shop lol..

  • @medicbrndn
    @medicbrndn 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Will it carbon lock and is there a way to add force to remove if the need were to arise? How is repeatability (accuracy) it put on a precision rifle? Can you also explain the differences between the standard dual lock and the HRT series?

    • @GriffinArmamentOfficial
      @GriffinArmamentOfficial  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If carbon lock is to occur, you can buy a Dual-Lok wrench from our website to help break it off the taper. You can find that here: www.griffinarmament.com/dual-lok-wrench/.
      We also make over-the-barrel Dual-Lok suppressors that are specifically designed for precision, long-range shooting (PSR series). You can find more information on those here: www.griffinarmament.com/silencers/rifle-silencers/dual-lok/
      That being said, the whole Dual-Lok series has minimal POI shift and is great for repeatability due to the nature of the mounting system. The main difference between Dual-Lok 5 & 7 and HRT-5 & 7 is the tube construction. The Dual-Lok 5 & 7 are tubeless suppressors with vented, flash hiding end caps, which is great for gas reduction and flash suppression. The HRT series is a traditional tube design made for hard use and sound suppression, but has a little more blowback than the Dual-Lok 5 & 7. Both series have our Eco-Flow baffle technology and are hearing safe on their designated calibers.
      So, if you want a lightweight suppressor with better gas reduction, go with Dual-Lok. If you want a hard use suppressor with a great tone, go with HRT.

    Great initial design only problem I'm having is with the splines being very close to the hand guard mine won't lock properly. The only fix I can see is getting the flash hider with a neck that will love the treads further away. Very sad about that.

    So can you still use your old taper lock non dual lock mounts with this can? Since the taper will still lock up without need for the second lock.

    • @GriffinArmamentOfficial
      @GriffinArmamentOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, taper mount devices will not work with the DUAL-LOK suppressors. The taper is located in a different spot on the DUAL-LOK muzzle devices. DUAL-LOK suppressors require the use of DUAL-LOK muzzle devices

  • @JW11595E
    @JW11595E 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    In regards to the DL5, is there any gain in that extra .6 inches over the exclusive HRT can’s 5.9 inch OAL? Or is it just that civilian/commercial customers don’t get the ultra cool guy stuff.

    • @GriffinArmamentOfficial
      @GriffinArmamentOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The DL5 will fit a new muzzle device to be released while the HRT will not. The HRT was intended to be more compact for close corner shooting environments. The HRT is also going to be a little heavier because it's not tubeless.

    • @GriffinArmamentOfficial

      We just released 2 DUAL-LOK suppressors with the mounting system integrated into the suppressor itself. But the mounting system is available on our website as a 1.375x24 Hub mount to thread into applicable suppressors
