Our Dad's Garage channel is all about sharing videos of things I like to work on. From old cars to RV’s and campers and even our retreat center in West Tennessee. I like to share knowledge with grown ups and teach kids things we used to learn from our dads and grandfathers. Www.biblegrove.org

WE GOT A BACKHOE!

I put the Ditch Witch on Facebook Marketplace about 4 months ago. Really didn't want to sell it but I felt like there was somebody out there with a good tractor with a loader or maybe an old skid steer that might trade. Then, a guy messaged me with Case 580C. Its a beast. Needs a little love but its going to be very handy.

Well the title is a bit misleading..... not really what u'd wanta see from a pastor I'd presume but ig everybody's definition of " heavy" could be different I'd spose ...,
How would you close and lock the doors when using it as a storm shelter? The locks are on the outside.
Now they sell all those panels for replacement .
II owner here. The Mustang IIs had very soft front ends. A II will wallow and understeer like a fat pig because they wanted them to be smooth like a luxury car. The aftermarket is what made it possible to tighten it up. Also, the factory caster specs make it so you would not want to drive it over 70 mph. Stock, it comes with 275# springs and a light sway bar. Nobody buys less than 500# springs on II suspension. So if you get strong springs, lower it, put a 1" sway bar on it with fancy shocks, put a little caster in it, I bet it will ride like its on rails. Its kind of like someone ordering a double peperoni pizza with extra cheese and complaining about a greasy pizza. But I hear what you are saying. If your project has reasonable suspension engineering, you should think about simply using that. I get it. To me, its so weird to see this strange echo of engineering occurring with Mustang II suspension. Believe me, you can also build it for Sunday Driver mode.
Good looking. I have the 1971 with the v6.
Worked perfectly on my 54 pontiac today, many thanks
All of your problems are what you did . Get the tire rod level, problems solve
The Mustang II front end made a whole lot more sense when you could pull them out of a junkyard for $50. Disc brakes plus power rack and pinion steering for next to no cost was an absolute no-brainer. That's why they all disappeared from junkyards ages ago now.
Don't care
Yeah. That’s not regular residential yard equipment. Definitely heavy equipment.
Hey thanks, this helped me get the front fenders off my 1955 Plymouth Savoy
"Unless that person's me.." 😂😂😂😂
Future bee videos..... just let lily handle them... 😂
Well 😊Hello Beech Grove awesome
Where'd you get it?.. thanks ya I have a 52 Chevy styline and my below the floor master cylinder just went
JD.. Our daughter, Darla Petersen Smith turned us onto your channel! Have really enjoyed following your progress. Looks like a really nice place you are creating. Did you know Darla has a new channel she and Brenn started.. Our Everyday Alaska.. you might check it out..
Restoring my own 50 bel air and working on getting it restored how long does it take roughly to remove those front end parts
You're using heavy equipment.
You are using heavy equipment.
enjoyed the video did you ad oil or just keep ir grease packed?
Does your torque tube removal & replacement apply to a 1946 Chevy truck 1/2 ton? Also what reared & transmission did you use?
Since the body was off, why didn't you remove the bell housing to make the clutch, pressure plate, flywheel install easier?
Hello be a while get your Chevrolet going
Great video, I was thinking about this front end for my 1949 Packard. You saved me serious money -
Great video. Thank you for posting.
Awesome

Great video. Working on a 53 Pontiac pathfinder here.

Good afternoon, I have a 235 engine. I need to know what year T5. You have so I could find the correct year. I want to install it into a 1937. Chevy pick up truck.😉
The hoa lets u work on your cars ?
Thanks for your help. I was researching this for a 52.
Here's a video showing how to adjust the steering sensitivity on a Mustang II. Skip to the 15 minute mark. It sounds like your steering rack has more pressure than it needs. th-cam.com/video/STLbcH8UQ3M/w-d-xo.html
That's nice
Harleys comments to the judge are priceless 😂😂😂
@jdinman any future videos of this project?
Nice projects I’m amazed from your work I have a question where do you get the parts for that 1954 ? Like the inside panel and carpet ,I’m about to start a project too
Truly appreciate your videos of your tear downs thanks fir a great job 👍🏼
hey jd' great video,i have a mustang ll in 1956 chevy truck, but i never knew that the 1940-1948 chevy cars had that ride qualiry,i'm looking at a 1948 chevy fleetline that/ 's great news to me,please keep the videos coming, thanks
Sure sounds like it's for me , because I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere . I'm only 808 miles away , I sure can't afford to live there .
Hey Ted, Maybe we can LIveStream at some point. We'd sure love to share this program as far as possible. We believe God is going to do something great! We'll be praying for you to find a community close by that can help you walk in freedom. Maybe I need to start another TH-cam page?
Really liked ur design not overly built but functional, would be great for long curved rocker panel pieces but i believe most are longer than 2 feet more like 3 to 4 feet. Should be some way to put gears on one end to make spinning with crank handle to facilitate feeding n rolling easier.waiting for the upgrade once u get it built!!snookie pa.😊😊😊
Kingdom work. Love it
Just as you are starting to snug the pressure plate bolts but the disc can still move a bit, I like to tap the aligning tool up, down, left and right, to ensure it is centered. The tool should slip in and out with no difficulty. The slight bolt tension will hold it from moving out of alignment as you tighten the pressure plate bolts. These do need to be turned in evenly to prevent bending the pressure plate. Once you get them all snugged down, I like to remove the bolts one at a time to put loctite on the threads for extra insurance.
GOOD TIPS!
Argon gas does not “cool” the weld metal, it shields it like flux. When you do not have gas you should use “flux core wire” in your machine. Love this Chevy series, had a fare amount of old Chevies back in the day. I’ve had 210s, sedan deliveries, and a belair hardtop.
I've learned this fact since this video... knowing it didn't make me any better of a welder... I'm still not any good at it! HA!
Thanks
I remember the video of G.W. on your TH-cam channel. As a pastor who has preached many funeral services, I can easily say you did a good job for G.W. and for Jesus. God Bless you my brother in Christ.
Thank you Eric!
So sorry man.... i can imagine how tough it was to do this. You did GW proud! Again, so sorry for your loss.
Thank you!!!!
Did you stop on the 53?
Question: I have a 51 Styleline that doesn't go into reverse. Looking at getting repaired (Its an Automatic). I was told I needed a torque converter. Why do I need a torque converter if it already has a torque tube like yours" I didn't know they had torque converters for that year car. Thanks
