For whatever reason I thought remarkably bright creatures was something else entirely that didn’t appeal to me but your description makes it sound like my new favorite book lol! Thanks for the rec!!
Because some bookish people like you exist... that's why they say bookish family 🙂 there are no words which can express the overwhelming emotions....thank you so much for making this world more beautiful ❤️
What a plot-twist with your favorite read of the month! I’ve seen the cover of Remarkably Bright Creatures but had no idea what it was about. I might have to check that out!
I know I’m shocked that was my favorite since it was such a difficult read! There’s something powerful about learning about someone’s experiences though. I think you’d enjoy Remarkably Bright Creatures. It was heartwarming
good to know on such sharp teeth! I basically have to get to that book this year 😂I'm glad you liked the Dead Romantics more than I did! And omg, okay, definitely need to prioritize Sex Cult Nun!
I gotta get to The Dead Romantics soon! I'm thinking maybe as a fall read... Remarkably Bright Creatures was picked for a book club I'm part, of so I'll definitely be reading it but it's not something I'd normally go for... hoping I also enjoy it!
Book Clubs are great for expanding your reads, I don’t think you’ll regret reading it. Dead Romantics would be a perfect fall read! It’s spooky without being scary, especially since they all grew up in the funeral business, death is just part of their every day routine.
The only one left is so atmospheric. It kept me hooked. But I agree main character is so annoying. I loved The Dead Romantics so much. It was one of the few 5 stars I read last year. I need to finish Sex Cult Nun. It's definitely not an easy book to read.

That is amazing! I hope it’s a winner for you, I really enjoyed it myself. It was very charming

Sex Cult Nun blew my mind! It was very hard to read though

Atmosphere is my favorite element of a book, I love to feel transported. Dead Romantics really shocked me!
so many pages, definitely don't push yourself into a reading slump friend!
It’s good to know your limits… I hit mine for sure. Pushing through would lead to burnout guaranteed
@@JAKandtheBookStack yeah burnout is no bueno
Ooof that doesn't give me high hopes for Such Sharp Teeth, I hated Cackle by the author mainly for the annoying fmc.
Oh man, I still have to read Cackle and now I’m nervous for another annoying FMC!
