I have been a heavy user of insoles over the years and have tried a lot of them. These work really well with just the right amount of arch support but are still very comfortable. Well done!
I use the thick and thick with metpad in my Keen hikers, and the Med thick and med thick with metpad in my Hoka Bondi 7s and 8s and the wides in my Altra Lone Peak 6s( they were made for that shoe,I swear!) I wont wear a shoe or boot without a Sole inside!
I’ve been using inserts for a year or so now… they’re from my podiatrist. I’m looking at getting some new ones. They’re good but annoying because I hear them “crunching” ( like stepping on snow) in my shoe… not noticeable at work because it’s loud there but at home it’s loud! 😝
Hey I know what you mean. There are a lot of good options for insoles out there. The Sole brand is working well for me. I like all the options they have available. I've also used Powerstep Pinnacle Maxx that I bought on Amazon for about $35, with good results. If you decide to try the Sole brand, they gave me a link that I put in the video description you can use to save $20 which makes them really affordable. Have a great day. Stay safe.
I have custom orthotics. But I also have some of these and I like them a lot. I think they're just as good as the shit I paid nearly $400 for. And they're more comfortable until they start to wear out. And yes I can physically wear them out in less than a year's time. But then again I can destroy a pair of custom orthotics in less than a year as well. Matter of fact the first three sets I had to keep making them stronger and stronger because I was collapsing them flat
Hi Tim, helpful information. I mildly overpronate and run in stability shoes to accomode the overpronation. From your experience, will a Sole insole alter (i.e. increase or change) the stability built into the shoe? Alternatively, have you found that the insole provides enough stability to enable an overpronator to run in "neutral" shoes? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Hey David. I hope all is going well with you. So I probably wouldn’t install these in a stability shoe as they already have pronation control built in to them. I’ve used these in my running shoes that are a little too unstable for me at times and they do a good job. If you mildly over pronate I think these would work for you in a neutral shoe. They do add some weight about an ounce over the insoles that come in most running shoes. Have a great day.
Sole vs SuperFeet Inserts? Experienced Runner (15 Marathons + 3 IronMans) and Experience Hiker (Appalachian Trail). I'm 58 years old. Had Turf Toe in Right Big Toe when I was younger...now have Arthritis in my Right BIG TOE. Looking for "stiffness" to keep me from bending my Big Toe during Push Off while Running, Hiking and even Walking. I wear Hoka Clifton (Wide) - for Walking and Running - love them! I forgot to place my SuperFeet Insert (Green) in my last pair of Hokas...and now I'm "suffering" with my Big Toe. Going to buy/install new Shoe Insert...just curious on your thoughts if I should stay with SF (Green)...maybe get SF (Orange) or try Sole Insert?
Hey Scott. First, that's awesome that you are so active. Sorry to hear about the pain you experience while running. Unfortunately I haven't run with the SuperFeet insoles in my shoes so I can't offer any comparisons between the two. The Sole brand insoles aren't real stiff. So I don't know if they are what you are looking for. Have a great day.
Hey Scott, if you are thinking about trying SOLE, we have a 90 day unconditional guarantee so you can put our insoles to the test and return them for any reason if they aren't working as intended.
Great video. Quite frequently I have debated myself regarding the use of insoles. I have used them previously but not of late because I assume running shoes are engineered to be run in how they are bought. Do you think the insoles alter the drop and/or the cushion level at all?
Hi Phil. They don't alter the drop at all. They have a zero drop from the heel to toe. Depending on the thickness you choose they can add cushion. The Performance Thin doesn't add any cushion but they do provide good arch support. The Active Mediums add a little cushion. I don't have the Thick insoles to know just how much additional cushioning they have to offer. Have a great day Phil and stay safe!
Many thanks Tim, really helpful film. Like you I thought the Rincon insoles were the thinest I'd ever seen (version 1 at least) and i sometimes realise i've flattened out any insole cushioning on other shoes. Just a quick question, are these insoles pretty light...as in not adding too much extra weight beyond a stock insole?
Hi John. Most standard insoles weight about 1 ounce or 28 grams. The Sole Performance Thin weights 1.8 once or 51 grams. Their Active Medium Performance and the Active Medium Performance with Met Pad both weight 2 ounces or 57 grams. So they do add some weight to your shoes. They work well with most of my daily trainers and the extra ounce isn't that big of a deal for me for those slow easy miles. Have a great day and stay safe.
Bears consideration. I don't have pronation issues but I have very high arches. Also like the casual shoe purpose. Thanks for the informative video Tim.
Hey thanks for the feedback. I just checked with Sole and it should be working now. Sorry for the inconvenience. Let me know if you have any more trouble and I’ll get it fixed for you. Have a great day!
I’m use to wearing dr scholls arch support in my sneakers for everyday/performance (gym and running) for my wide flat feet, do you think the active wide thick would help get the job done? thanks
Appreciate the thorough review Tim! Super stoked that you liked them. 🏆🏃🦶
I have been a heavy user of insoles over the years and have tried a lot of them. These work really well with just the right amount of arch support but are still very comfortable. Well done!
Thanks for the review. I just bought two pairs. One for my boots and the other for my Altras.
Glad I could help. Have a great day and thanks for sharing.

Hi Devin! That's awesome. I'm glad they are working so well for you! Thanks for watching. I appreciate it. Have a great day and Happy Holidays!

Feel free to give us a try and if you hear the crunching you can return them up to 3 months later with our 90 day unconditional guarantee.
How good for basketball?

How are they for supination? As opposed to pronation. Thank you

No I think you'd benefit from them if you actually need our support even in a brand new shoe
Do you remove the factory soles from the shoe before you put in the Sole brand insole?
Hi Terry. Yes I do take out the original insoles before installing the Sole insole. Thanks for the question Terry. Have a great day.

@@RunTall Many thanks for info Tim..
Hi Tim, i was trying to get $20 discount as it't mentioned in the description line, but can't make it work. Please suggest

I do think they'd help you. Let me know what you think if you pickup a pair. Good luck and have fun shopping! I hope you get it dialed in for you.
Lol, sizing would be a better selling point if they came in half sizes otherwise you are still cutting them down.
