I'd never heard High on Fire, cause I don't pay attention enough to music, but Drew said they were great. Amazing show, couldn't believe the prescience they had from the first guitar lick. Been one of my favorite bands since. I've been listening to this for days now and it just hits hard. Hug your loved ones. Death is this Communion.

Saw these guys open Gigantour about 12 years ago, they played most of this album if I am not mistaken. 12 years is a long time ago haha, it was roughly 11-12 years.

my buddy took me to see high on fire a few years ago. i never knew what any of the band members looked like or that matt pike was also a member of sleep but we got chatting to him outside the venue while having a smoke and he was a fucking gentleman in real life a proper dude. the bass players amp caught fire during the gig and they didnt even stop playing while their roadie put it out and sorted shit. probably one of the best live bands iv ever seen.

My favorite is de vermis de mysteris cause it has such a raw and in your face production that is like sandpaper to your fuckign ears but in a good way. I real like steps of zigutar/house of enlil, freebooter. Especially their longer songs like sanction annhilation and steps of...enlil, these song capture perfectly this mid tempo savage epicness of songs like death is is this communion and king of days.

can someone explain why a label uploads a lot of full albums for free? I don't understand how the hope to earn money from CDs or digital stores... Who will pay the royalties to the bands?
Most bands earn the majority of their money through merch and gigs. You can't rely on people to buy your cd's in stead of pirating them. It's awful and stupid. But it's just how it is.
I meant that labels could release some free tracks on youtube, so if you like it and you want more, you will buy the entire album. This situation is the cause of the "no money for you" when you sign a contract.
