That's part of the plantation shutter.
Are we able to flip the blades over for the caramel vs. dark brown ?
Yes the blades are reversible.
I just installed this myself on a flat ceiling with standard equipment. The thing really is silent.
The power on self test or whatever it does had me thinking it might be broken 😂
It’s the only fan I’ve seen that does that little dance.

I know what does those 3 buttons you don’t know. The walking person means walk away delay. The next one is safe home. It keeps it safe when you are not home. The last one is natural breeze

It really IS silent. That's nice.
It’s been running 24x7 for almost a year. Still silent.
I have this same ceiling for about 2 months. Now the fan is randomly turning off by itself. Any ideas?

Do you know if the bulb is replaceable?
It’s not a bulb, it’s a string of LEDs permanently installed in the light fixture.

How do you install the LED lights?
They are permanent.
Maybe I got manufacture defect cause it doesn’t have the pic connector/quick connect cables that come from the motor to be plugged into the led lights
What can I do if I lost the remote?
Watch this th-cam.com/video/jMC6UXpx7mw/w-d-xo.html and buy a new aftermarket remote. You’ll need to replace the module on the fan to work with the new remote.
Alternatively, contact the fan manufacturer and see if you can get a new remote. Then you’ll need to pair that remote to the existing module. Replacing both may be easier.
