Martha should of been marked UP with the bus! NOT down.. She handled it perfectly and what others would do in "the real world" to many minors for "unrealistic" driving problems... the test needs updated for our increasingly busier roads. Martha done really really well for being a learner as far as im concerned.
She has a lot of awareness when she drives, she will become a good driver! A small thing I noticed was the acceptance of left/right signaling before checking the surroundings. Been a few years now but I am pretty sure signaling before looking around is a fail during the driving test here in Denmark. You only signal when you have checked and about to leave (with few exceptions ofc).
Martha did well with that bus encounter because she's a learner who has patience unlike those impatient clowns who overtook to meet the oncoming bike. She now knows when a bus has broken down and what to do.
She also sets a good example for me, as a learn, how to deal with such situation. Other than patient, she had made an accurate judgment and reaction towards the bus broken down.
I finally passed on Tuesday after 4 years off trying. Learning to drive didn't come easy to me. Thank you for your channel it really helped me learn. To any one else who is struggling, PLEASE dont give up you will get there. Good Luck Martha :)
@chuipingchu1636 If any driver went round the bus at that moment, then they are not all that "experienced". As you could see, it was a dangerous thing to do.
13:11 Years ago before hazard lights had been invented, when a bus broke down the driver would get off the bus and place their back seat cushion against the back of the bus. This ancient art has disappeared. The passengers would be transferred to the next bus as it arrived. The driver would await the engineers from the local bus garage who would turn up on a bus that had all the seats removed, the roof sawn off and lots of mechanics tools on racks. This is how some buses were recycled.
Good luck the best thing is eat good before ur test and don’t be to nervous just act like the examiner is ur instructor have small talk him him/her and just make sure you try to get everything perfect and when you think you made a mistake don’t think about it to much he/she might not have noticed or it was just a minor that’s all I could say to you and good luck again hope you pass 🙃👍
@@ameliaread5461 congratulations 🎉 you passed one day after me and it still has not sinked in that I have passed because My insurance is to expensive 🤣🤣
@13:00 it's a tricky situation and really depends on how lenient the examiner is on test day. May have failed for Awareness and planning or Undue hesitation.
Hey she did get marked down as a minor due to the awareness and planning with the double decker bus When she saw the 2nd bus approaching she did try to move back but didn’t move back enough The space she stopped and where she had to move wasn’t that different So therefore it wasn’t serious
13:38 I feel that there are some scenarios where this would be a fail for steering / moving out to the right when there's a cyclist coming past from behind
Quick question I noticed marther would signal to pull up on the side of the road? I'm confused as my instructor said not to indicate when pulling up if there isn't any cars about Does it matter either way.? I prefer to indicate just incase
Noticed a few hand crossovers and letting the wheel auto spin back to its normal steering position, is this aloud in your test, not hating just a question Thanks
Hey with crossing over your hands it’s fine as long as you don’t lose control over the steering. Try and always guide the wheel back to the straight position, don’t let it slide back in its own. Always keep good control over the steering wheel
10:30 parallel parking. Will the examiner ask you to pull up on your left behind a parked car, and from there carry out the manoeuvre? Or is it while your driving they’d ask you to pull up next to a parked car and then start the parallel manoeuvre? Which one, If that makes sense srry ??? 🤔😂
Hey it’s just a 30 minute drive similar to the actual driving test where the student drives independently without any help or guidance Just to get a feel of what the test would be like
Hey depending on the test centre, the routes are varied. In this area some of the routes are just in residential roads and doesn’t have any 40mph roads
Wow. Thats crazy. Thanks for clearing that up. I’m not sure where this mock test was in London but thats insane no 40mph roads. I have recently just passed you see and i had 60mph roads on the different routes i practiced, thats why i was confused there was no fast driving. Do you do fast driving with your learners? I only ask because going from 40- 60/70pmh is massive.
@@hollyc9554 hey yes I always practice at high speeds with my students. This particular route doesn’t have 40mph roads But there are other routes that do include 40mph roads Most of the test centres in london are restricted due to where they are, it’s mostly small narrow roads.

As long as you have good control over the wheel and never lose control (hand slides off) Then it’s not a fault Everyone is taught to use the pull and push technique but everyone has their own take on it and it’s fine As long as it’s safe Hope that helps
This doesn’t make any sense these roads are incredibly easy, there wasn’t a single normal sized roundabout or 3 lane roundabout when they would be in her test so why they weren’t in here I don’t know. It would not just been mini roundabouts like in this mock test there is no way u would go through the test only doing mini roundabouts. There was nothing at all challenging in this my mock test was a lot harder there was decent sized roundabouts with 3 lanes, very bendy roads, a lot more traffic lights and busier areas. I don’t think u can call that a mock test when it doesn’t include hardly anything that would be in a test.
Hey I did the mock test in the area where her test is. Some test centres don’t have a lot of challenging roads or routes or they are very difficult to get to. In London there usually a lot of traffic so the examiners are limited with where they can go. Some routes in this area don’t have big roundabouts 😅

Amazing driving! Seems like she’s been driving for years, that just shows how good of an instructor she has 👍 well done
That bus situation is a real nightmare situation for a driving test. But overall, Martha did a good job.
Finally someone that knows how to drive
@13:15, Martha did very well. She was so calm that even an experienced driver couldn't manage this difficult situation. Fantastic!

Not at mini roundabouts no

what happened to drive London? :)
Hey I’ve been working on my own for a while now
has anyone ever passed a test without any minors ?
It is exceptionally rare.
She's not steering properly at all! Where's her push and pull at times?

As long as it’s safe
