There are necessary by-laws that NEEDS to be followed on an urban/meso level. Otherwise we'll face the same horrid situation every year. The restoration of the destroyed houses need to be done via local materials, local labor with some standards to be followed. For example; the elevated house to BFL (base flood level), vents in the foundation for the flood water to pass under the house, electrical equipment and wires to be fitted on the first floor, and emergency exit to the roof, (waterproofing interior walls if possible), materials that can be easily chipped off and replaced after the flood water goes and so on. Container houses are not a solution to this. Unfortunately, our government doesn't want to take professionals on board to provide them with proper solutions where the future flash floods CAN be avoided and the intensity of destruction will be far less.

tbh this pre fabricated house is rubbish and poorly made there are some really nice prefab designs out there for prefabricated houses this design is disappointing they obviousn didnt have much money when they built this and chose not so great company to build this, most prefab house can last for 60 years plus, the uk had prefb homes built in 1947, they are still standing in 2023.
