There are multiple models by now. Black magic have created 5 versions of the Atem mini by now priced from £300 to £1200. Each one a boon to bloggers and video jockeys all over Facebook and You tube. Atomos have got in on the act now with the ninja 5 and atomX combined into an all singing and dancing model. Check them out on you tube.
I don't know. Does OBS not work on Mac? I only have PC Windows at present and haven't used a Mac. I will most likely get a Mac when I need a nw computer. :)

Great video!! One question, do you know how to do the camcorder recording and the computer live stream at the same time? I can connect to the computer, but once I try to record on the camcorder, the computer monitor screen black out right away. Only after I finish recording on the camcorder, the video come back to the computer. My purpose is to use the camcorder as a webcam camera in conference meeting, while I still want to record the video through the camcorder, because it has much better quality.
I have a question, since the Panosonic cam corder uses rechargable battery, is there chance it will run out barrie if used for to long? or does it charge while connected
I own a panasonic v770. You can use a portable charger or plug it right into the wall while recording. That way you can record so long as you got memory to do so.
What i want/need to know is how to record what you're doing on your pc screen. I bet it's like super easy.. and people laughing right now. It's just something I've never done before. It's all new to me. ; }
If your using obs. You can “screen capture”. I have multiple monitors so I use one screen as just gaming, one to capture my gaming screen, & a 3rd for misc lol
@@pollutedhalo I'm using Shotcut for video editing, its very good for a free program. It's even got a green chroma key filter. Just bought myself a handycam so I'll start rolling videos out next month. Thanks for info. If i have problems i now know a few more programs ; }
F.Y.I. - I have a Sony CX240 (not CX240e) and when I use HDMI out it ALWAYS has the icons in the video feed. It works without the icons if I play a video, but when I use it as a live camera via HDMI out to my ATEM Mini I can not remove the icons.
@@pollutedhalo I have other Sony cameras and they all have a LCD option in the setup to remove all menu options, but I can't find this option in the CX240.
Hello mate, Thank you for this video. I got a new camcorder but I have trouble transmitting to my computer. Immediately I connect the the computer to the camera via a capture card exactly like yours, the camera screen blacks out. And the capture card is not recognized by obs. Any help please?

@@pollutedhalo I had the same problem taught it didn't like external monitor, tried different capture card, HDMI adapter, different HDMI cable, and latest OBS and it finally worked, before the same issue, only playback function via HDMI output!

I don't know what your technical issues are and is above my pay grade. Like I say, do some research and I am sure you wil find what you are looking for. Sounds like a settings issue, but am just guessing or could be that you haven't enough space on your harddrive which might be slowing things down. Could be anything.
I guess it all depends on which camera you are using and I would guess most cameras would still work s a webcam in this process while plugged into charge. :)
CAUTION. I already own a Sony HDR-CX405 and I will buy another camera instead. Not only are you adding another point of failure and conversion, but with Sony you MUST run on battery power. It will not record on power from USB. That's not good when the battery quits in the middle of a recording. My third-party GO-Pro imitation works better other than focal length.
You use super slinkies.... tell me your high e string doesn't break every couple weeks. My guitar has been a 5-stringer for a few years now lmao. Mostly I've been lazy and I guess I don't care that much.
I use Super Slinky on standard tuning, but would use a heavier gauge on lower tunings. I might try out 8s at some point as Brian May and ZZ Top reckon they're great for bending. PS: My music YouYube channel is at: th-cam.com/users/MoonrunnerMusic if you're interested. :)

yes, zoom should work and autofocus, etc, obviously depends on what camera you have. :)

They are hdmi switchers. From 4 to 8 capable of pip and green screen and even more on the most expensive.

You can use it on power, you don't even need to put the battery in. Turn off the screen goes to sleep feature and you don't need to record to SD.

Hi Ehi , OBS is a free download and well worth learning , you will need the correct cables to connect your various equipment .

If you do the same as in video, connect everything correctly, you should have no problems and will show up in OBS.

Cheers crosswhite. The image is how it came out and not cropped. The Sony camcorder signal was obviously put into OBS Studio in this video. :)
