@SingleMaltTv Ha! Re-reading my post, maybe I was grumpy that day! I have no idea, but i think "gimmick" may have been too strong of a word. I'd just like to say HP is one of the greatest whiskies out there, regardless of how it's presented. Cheers!
I think it makes the color of the whisky stand out all that much more. I appreciated this effect on the video as it highlighted the Whisky, the star of the show. (no offense, Gerry)
Love the video...the color/bw thing is awesome. Now...this one I would not do with a splash of water lol. Nope, just straight up in a HP glass. Gerry your the best!
Smoke like no other peat; sweet like no other sweet. Highland Park makes the best spirit in the world. Nice to see this dark color in its natural state.....and not caramel colored like Dalmore. Good whisky doesnae need extra shite added to it. This is a rare taste.
@buffalo488 Just trying a few different things to focus on the whisky and make it a bit more interesting...but you are right....this whisky is brilliant and needs no gimmicks.
I disagree. I liked the color effect. It's a little jarring the first you see it but it does serve a purpose. It really focuses the attention on the color of the whisky.
love this video, but can't stand the "schindler's list" thing you have going on with the dram being the only thing in color...it reeks of gimmick for a whisky that (no matter what release it is) never needs it......

Tasted it at ardbeg embassy in Stockholm. Magical taste!

Thank you for the comment. Really appreciated.
Great video. I'd love a few drams myself!

Highland Park is a top drop. I think it goes down as my favorite.
I want this so bad... Unfortunately it's a taste most of us peasants will never experience.
Some will be able to taste it others will aspire for it. 🍷
@krakkajackson Thanks for your comment.
On sale for $18,000 (Eighteen Thousand Dollars) in Canada.

I have to get one! Oh, that´s right, I have to win the lottery first...bummer...
Liqiud GOLD!
@mightyquaid1979 Gerry does look astonished...I will give you that...but it really is one hell of a good whisky.
Gerry wasn't too far off on the ABV. It's 44.8% which is 45% when you round up.
Damn, he sure does savor his whiskey. Pretty funny for a borderline alcoholic to watch.
You're supposed to keep quality whisky in your mouth for 1 second per year it's been aged... so for a 50 year old... nearly a minute.
***** It's true, you don't have to, but if you just paid probably tens of thousands of dollars for a 50 year old single malt, I'd savor it like crazy.
Looked at the website of my local whisky shop. £10,000. Ten thousand pounds.
Лучший виски что я когда либо пробовал
I hope someday to taste it as well 🍷
We just "found" a 60 year old... Yeah, thats what the marketing says... ;-)
Hiding in the darkened recesses of the warehouse. It’s a good pitch.
