Hi guys Im new to whisky. I just recently bought my first 3 bottles of whiskey to see what all the fuss is about. They were Glenlivet 12, Yellowdot 12 and Chivas Regal 18. Yellowdot 12 was the best and Chivas 18 was the worst. Im gonna go out and get another 3 bottles. I know I wanna get a Lagavulin 16 and a Glendronah 18 Allardice. What do you guys recommend my 3rd bottle be? Im thinking something rich and butterscotch creamy.
Highland Park, Glendronach and Springbank were my 3 favourite distilleries but had to take Highland Park off the list after I had their new 12 and 25. The pre viking stuff 12 is way better than the new 12 and the old 18 is better than the new 25. How sad I loved them so much.
The glas was disigned by Horst Lüning and therefore it is whisky.de-exclusive. You need to find people in Germany or Austria (they deliver only in these two countries at the moment) to buy it for you and then deliver it to you.
The Highland Park 12 is my nr 1 whisky along with the 18 year, im turning 30 in 10 days, should I wish me this for birthday or go for the 12 or 18 which both are cheaper than this one
If you want to save money, you should definetly try the Highland Park 18 y.o. If you have more money to spend, the 21-year-old expression is a step up and offers more complexity.
