This game reminds me of my mom and dad!! They played this game together. Rest in peace my mom and dad!! Thanks for such wonderful memories and this game I will never forget because of both of you!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love this game. I remember getting in a fight at school in 5th grade (1994) and kneeing the kid in the face cause I saw it on this game...and they say video games are a waste of time..
Yessss! You can just envision some big-hair-band dude on stage with an electric guitar, dropping to his knees, wailing on it. He even does a sick slide. This has rock concert written all over it.
To be a kid in the 80's, I think we were the luckiest ever. I was 13 when this dropped on the console. Arcade + home, I couldn't get enough! Good times.
I grew up with the Sega Genesis version but I was always at my friends house as a kid playing the NES Double Dragon. There was just something about it that I loved so much. Playing it on the NES was magic.
I downloaded all of my favorite NES game soundtracks that I played when I was a kid to my TH-cam playlist. Thanks for uploading all of these classics!!
Great music, great game. Brings back some nice memories from my early gaming days... First time I reached Mission 3, part 3, Linda's theme started to play and that got an impact on me. Menacing and sinister.
This song just popped in my head. A guy at work pulled out a knife and pretended to throw it at somebody, just being dumb, and it reminded me of Double Dragon
magic classic soundtrack, and one of the greatest games of all time. still play this on my nes today. a classic i love playing. double dragon kicks ass.
I played this game when it was cool. You start the game like this is the day... then when you finally beat it, you realize it wasn’t about beating it... it was about the journey... and the music.
Thanks for uploading this WiiGuy's 8BitStereo, this channel it's great, i'm having all the good memories from my childhood now, 8 Bit videogames was my favorite era...
Growing up we spent summers with my older cousins who rarely let me play the Nintendo…but I would sit in the room while they played Double Dragon just for the music!
I found myself astonished at all the music from all the great games from that NES era you've uploaded, brought back memories, subscribed and Thank you!
this game reminds me of my dad so much!!! he hated video games and such.....but never shy from me enjoying it. as long as i was on my grades and discipline he had to give in. My mom made sure of that too!! both RIP
Best classic soundtracks!!! it's one of my favorite!!! No matter how old I am I still like listening to it!!! reminds me of the old old time!!! ^_____>
Thanks! I would recommend the download link in the description, I updated all my videos with links to a new mix that lessens the reverb that the video versions have, but it's still clear and crisp in stereo! ;3
Haha, that cover art is horrific... and I love it! I remember borrowing this game from a friend and I played it until I beat it! Ah, the patience I had back in the days.
Dude seriously, that reverb echo sound you added sounds WONDERFULL. (I know you just changed it to stereo, but since these sounds were made in MONO it sounds like this sweet as REVERB ECHO sound!!)
Early 90s nostalgia. Heck, one time I stole quarters from my mom’s purse to play this game at the arcade. It was actually a laundromat that had this game. Boy, did I get a beating when I got back home. Thursday mrn - February 2, 2023. Prlcty Lupe’s
This eternal soundtrack!! Despite the limitations of the NES, this version was extremely respectable and the quality of the 1v1 mode was unheard of at the time! This totally reminds of Saturday nights in Fowler, CA playing this at our friend's house! (We still love ya' Tim!! LOL) and your stereo conversion scores you... 50,000 POINTS! *Fred Savage is dumbfounded right now!!*
The track that is missing from this soundtrack is the music that played the first time you faced Abobo, at the end of stage 1 in the arcade and Sega Master System versions. This is arguably the best track in the Double Dragon universe, and for some reason the NES copy of the game didn't get it. The Sega Master system version of the track is awesome.
Level 3 used to scare the crap out of me as a kid. The music and the guys hiding up in the trees. Those purple guys (level one boss) creeped me out too lol
I remember when I use to? Hook my Nes to an old RCA Tv. My uncle who was in the military brought back a digital kenwood EQ reciever rated at 250 Watts. Hooked bose 601s? I believe. Boy it was so Cool.
8:09 That is some hardcore part of the tune...When I was 9, I made up lyrics for it..."boo baw! boo baw, boo boo". When you hear that, you know you're in some tough countryside and get your ass beat down!!! Now thumbs up!
I never got past Level 3. Then again, it was my stepdad's old NES, and it was at my grandmother's, so it wasn't 1000% accessible to me. Somehow, I could find the time to beat Contra, though...even though I played this just as much...

I love this game. I remember getting in a fight at school in 5th grade (1994) and kneeing the kid in the face cause I saw it on this game...and they say video games are a waste of time..
hahahaha I did the same thing!
ahha that is the most random things i read on the internet xxdd
*Stands and applauds*
I guess that's better than jump kicking somebody off a building.
You should've head butted the other kid off of some random conveyor belt into a very deep, dark cavern just to finish them off. Lol!
3:42 is hands down the best composed nes music ever the dude JAMMMED to that beat
Yeah that badass breakdown!
th-cam.com/video/R153V_HhqpY/w-d-xo.html Have a listen to the Commodore 64 version.
Yessss! You can just envision some big-hair-band dude on stage with an electric guitar, dropping to his knees, wailing on it. He even does a sick slide. This has rock concert written all over it.
All I can say is "THANK YOU". you just took me back 30 years.
I never heard the full version of the mission intro during gameplay until now DOUBLE THANK YOU!
To be a kid in the 80's, I think we were the luckiest ever. I was 13 when this dropped on the console. Arcade + home, I couldn't get enough! Good times.
The majority of music you put up takes me back to the summer of the 80's, when life was plain, innocent and most importantly, fun....thank you
Just hook this soundtrack to my veins. Let the nostalgia flow.
Hell yeah!
drip, drip, drip, drip
Doodoodoo doo doo do do do !
Holy shit, I never knew the mission screen theme was longer than the first few notes, lol.
Me too xD
Lol. Yeah. We all were just so eager to play.
yeah, i found that out on my game boy years ago. My stomach jumped when i heard those extra notes lol!!!
phubans lol me neither
9:32
Chin's theme is awesome!
Yes. I’ve always thought the same. Chin rules
I grew up with the Sega Genesis version but I was always at my friends house as a kid playing the NES Double Dragon. There was just something about it that I loved so much. Playing it on the NES was magic.
Hearing this music takes me back to my childhood. There was no better time to be a kid in America growing up in the 80's and 90's.
3:50 solo on point. I miss mashing buttons on games. Remember playing this and getting blisters on my thumbs from Doritos greasyness haha
Billy and Jimmy's Theme gets me every time! The "guitar solo" is so good! I love how they even made it sound like there's a "two-hand tapping" part!
7:53 double dragon has one of the best ost in all of the nes' life time
I downloaded all of my favorite NES game soundtracks that I played when I was a kid to my TH-cam playlist. Thanks for uploading all of these classics!!
It is my pleasure :)
Go Bimmy and Jimmy!~
At least they didn't fuck up even worse and call jimmy, jilly lol
Billy and Jilly lol
ye!!!!
hahaha! DD3-Sacred Stones and your wrong translation and censored story... Laughs.
Bimmy is in the 3rd game, not this one.
This has NEVER sounded better. Well done, @WiiGuys 8BitStereo !
damn, after listening to this, I ready to go slap around some Abobos.
Great music, great game. Brings back some nice memories from my early gaming days... First time I reached Mission 3, part 3, Linda's theme started to play and that got an impact on me. Menacing and sinister.
Lots of nice themes in that game. It gets you really anxious.
it was a master piece in its time.
Goof Love Indeed
3:47 does it for me every single time lol
This song just popped in my head. A guy at work pulled out a knife and pretended to throw it at somebody, just being dumb, and it reminded me of Double Dragon

My personal favorite NES soundtrack!
I never realized how kick ass this soundtrack is.
I played this game when it was cool. You start the game like this is the day... then when you finally beat it, you realize it wasn’t about beating it... it was about the journey... and the music.
Other than the intro my other favorite is 7:02. Good stuff!
"You got 50,000 on Double Dragon?" Fred Savage from the Wizard.
Damb, hearing these sounds and seeing the game cover takes me back
I can always come back to this soundtrack and it never gets old.
Hands Down Double Dragon has the greatest Guitar Solos for a video game....even with the NES sound chip no less. Truly Epic!!!
Best video game soundtrack EEEEEEVER!
I spent most of my work day humming the 3rd song (Billy & Jimmy's Theme). I had to look it up as soon as I got home. Thanks for the upload!
The funk on Mission 2 give you that "ooooh weee" face. Clear go-go influence.
Had this pop into my head after dinner tonight. The OG hero rescuing a damsel from the forces of evil game. This one is iconic.
Doodoodoo doo doo do do do !
This is in my consideration to be modern classical music 🎶
Always stuck on my head. Thank you. Awesome soundtrack from an awesome game
I found myself astonished at all the music from all the great games from that NES era you've uploaded, brought back memories, subscribed and Thank you!
Checkout those guys on the cover.

this game reminds me of my dad so much!!! he hated video games and such.....but never shy from me enjoying it. as long as i was on my grades and discipline he had to give in. My mom made sure of that too!! both RIP

Over already? Well that's what your kick-ass DD2 vid is for!
That first song always got me so pumped up and ready to play the game! love this!
I've beaten this game four times last summer ever since I got this as a present for my 40th birthday.
This, The Legend of Zelda, and Ninja Gaiden have to be the best NES soundtracks ever. Awesome upload!
good job with the mixing or whatever you did on to make it sound this clear. Noticeable improvement in quality
Thanks! I would recommend the download link in the description, I updated all my videos with links to a new mix that lessens the reverb that the video versions have, but it's still clear and crisp in stereo! ;3

The FUCKING intro ROCKS!!! I’m sweating nostalgia.
Early 90s nostalgia. Heck, one time I stole quarters from my mom’s purse to play this game at the arcade. It was actually a laundromat that had this game. Boy, did I get a beating when I got back home.

Chin's and Abobo simply awesome. The woods is freaky spooky.
10:12 plays in my head whenever two fat or muscular people start fighting each other.

I came here afterfinding out there will be a double dragon 4 on nintendo switch. never thought I´d see the day.
One of the best soundtracks in the NES lineup
This is cool. I never knew the Mission Screen music was longer.
The remix on the Xbox Live Arcade in HD was AWESOME!
Used to play this shit at my friends house every weekend in the 80s. Real shit!!
i bought river city ransom lol i laughed at the reference they made to double dragon and used this theme im like wait a minute i recognize this tune
That moment in river city ransom at the end area of the game was unexpected pure magic both the music and encounter was brilliant by Technos Japan.
@@Aristoper yep
1:34 ... 1:40 WHAT that song is more than 6 sec ???
I know. I didn’t find that out myself until recently. And I thought the 7 secs was it to the music during my childhood playing this. Lol
2:49 everybody on the dancefloor n do the Twist
yea!!! Exactly what I was thinking.
LOL YEP!
Double Dragon still rocks after 30 + years and they don't make games like this anymore!!!
Since I've been visting this video alot I figured I'll leave a comment. Thanks for uploading this. It sounds Great in stereo.

FYI, the link for this download is also broken. Thanks for fixing the Contra link - that was fast.
Hopefully all the mass re-uploading I'm doing isn't messing up, I swear I uploaded the updated version of this, but now it's good.
***** The funny thing is, I just started downloading these last night, and noticed a couple broken links. LOL. Thanks for all your hard work, man.
I have so many fond memories of this game. I had the Game Boy port, though.
Love how you got Linda theme pictched a bit higher
Chin's theme and use of stereo channels is great :)
Sure does, thanks for the appreciation! ;3
I recently bought an original nes but the audio wasn't working so when we played this game I just put this video on
The Best soundtrack of video games.
