    Sometimes I watch all these vids, be it Tom Brady or BB, I just have to sit back and look at the moment and say to myself, " Will I ever see this again"? This just does not happen all the time, I am a Pats fan, since 1972 and I have to say that I am so lucky to be alive during this time to see this, see greatness, I am just awe struck. I know the ride will be over soon, but I tell you, I am enjoying the ride and just thankful to see it.

    Belichick is definitely on my mount Rushmore of american sports team coaches. 7 rings 10 total appearances as a head coach or defensive coordinator. Guys thats 20 percent of superbowls... 20 percent 1/5.... just try to rap your head around that 7 for 10... 2 very close losses to the giants, his former team. How can he not be on mount Rushmore?

      LOL... Teams have gotten away w/ a lot worse. I love how you folks bring up the old spygate BS when numerous SB winning coaches publicly said they did the same thing (Jimmy Johnson and Bill Cowher off the top of my head). And lets remember, the Steelers were pioneers of using juice in the 70's like a Mr. Olympia does now.

      Belechick is GOAT just on his success with the pats. Never mind his other 2 rings as D coordinator of the Giants, and his superbowl winning defensive game plan enshrined at the H.O.F., and 3 other S.B. appearances , 2 as head coach and one as assistant coach. All of which took place in the salary cap era. There isn't even an argument against him being GOAT unless you have a severe learning disability.

      BB drafted, developed and promoted Brady and then fixed him after Brady's god awful choice of using the shotgun spread base with no FB because Brady preferred it to chase stats after marrying Giselle. Tom Brady, good lord, a guy no one wanted in the 2000 draft, owes his life to BB. Who do you people think has led the QB room for 20 years in NE? Bill Belichick.

      Soccer (European Football)? are you serious? You want to compare the input a coach has on football to what a coach contributes to soccer. I even thought that about the basketball and baseball coaches they interviewed for this piece. All those games are won by talent, so yes, good drafting, trades, in general organizational ability are very important. However in football each and every play is a product of the coach. Almost nothing is freelance at the beginning of each play. The coach, on defense must be familiar with his opposition and adjust to the possibilities and probabilities of his opponents next move. IMHO there is no sport that I'm aware of in which a coach is more important to the outcome of a game. Perhaps that's the difference between a coach and a manager.

      No salary cap no free agency are huge advantages. I agree easily the greatest basketball coach/general manager/executive EVER but Belichick's a better coach. He has to deal with a salary cap, free agency, 32 other teams,( NBA had ten in each conference when he coached) a shitty commissioner who wants you to lose. Bill Belichick is better.

      as Calkins has said, I doubt it was premeditated for that saying to stick on. It's a simple set of words that everyone can understand and for a game where teams have 50+ players, that's not counting staff, compartmentalizing seems to be the key to success. Belichick just figured that out early in his career and people listened.

  • @arcticwanderer2000
    @arcticwanderer2000 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Long time Patriot's fan but Belichick is too rigid in his unwillingness to pay key players to keep his winning teams intact. And when those players leave, those decisions almost always come back to cost the Patriot's championships. For example, Adam Vinatieri goes to the Colts and kicks them past the Pats, Wes Welker goes to Denver then knocks out Aqib Talib in AFC championship game, LeGarrette Blount helps Philly beat the Pats in the last Superbowl. Brady to Welker was a great combination he broke up.

      Yet be built 2 dynasties in the Cap Era. Try to go beyond that GED. There is a salary cap. He's been brilliant at replacing those he's lost due to to coaching so well and developing. Most all the players are either at the end or aren't as good when he walks. You really need to learn. If you were born in 2000, it's easy to see why you don't know anything yet.

      @@afmartin2734 Actually I have been following the Pats since the AFL merged with the NFL so my opinion about BB is based on a lot more experience with the team than you have. and don't give Bill credit for what Brady was able to accomplish with what he was given. Brady took less so that they could keep Welker and Bill still let him walk.
