Maybe one laptop but no printer which is weird for a manager’s office. It was so weird. Now out of curiosity I see the building is now renting office space.
1 of the reasons is because the person knows that you aren’t necessarily looking for a job to work at. It’s harder for the scammer to scam you if you are but it’s much harder to get around if you are actually looking to work from home.
I was scammed on LinkedIn, the lady stole my identity, I lost the rental property that I was working on because I needed a car in order to get there to work on my house and in order to keep the house you have to be actively working on the house through the land bank in Detroit Michigan. So the scammer tried to take my refund check that I was going to use to get a car. Okay, I finally got the job I've been dreaming about in July. However, when I was looking, I had some stuff that was so weird. I had one lady who praised my resume and everything but when I got to the interview, she was the most negative Nancy, actually putting down things she already knew just by reading my resume. I had another one who kept wanting to do a Teams interview the second I stepped on the internet, like Saturday night at 9 pm while I'm in my pajamas. Then there was this other company, I think the name was fake, wanting me to pay for my own background check. Gave me vibes they wanted to see my financial information for no reason but to scam me. Then there are the ones, the second you apply, you get an email. Be careful guys. I assure you though, there are some great companies like the one I work for that will hire you.
“TASK HUSTLE” sis? That wasn’t the red flag?
Thank you for spreading awareness.
She is just so busy she has to put on makeup while taking. 👎🏾 That eye thing what? Ugh! 👀
A lot of stuff is common sense.normally if something doesn't feel right something is wrong
I think indeed need to put the work into researching the companies that post jobs. On all was, ip address, physical address, speaking with the operator, check review at all levels. Start blocking ip that post scams. Ask payment for posting invest back into researching authencity of the Jobs.
1. If they can send a check they can send your work materials 2. No jobs pays your before you actually work
Almost all of this was entirely obvious that they were scams. People need to be more self aware. Half of these, you can’t feel bad for because the scam was TOO blatant. Smh.
A lot of people don't have the life skills or other experience to recognize them. A lot of the people featured in this video where very young, too.
Just say you lack empathy. Weird ahhh antisocial behavior.
@@Saturnthroughstars nigga I’m around the same age as them. Nobody has to teach you everything and walk you through EVERY fucking thing. It’s called common sense for a reason.
If a job don’t call u or leave a voicemail move on maybe a email , but move on … getting scammed by applying for a job is kinda funny 😂😂but sad for playing with people emotions Brah 🤦🏾♂️
Thanks for sharing. I currently have 2 family members who are currently in the job market. I just shared this to our group chat to make them aware.
I don't understand what these scammers get out of doing this?...like do they want money sent to them or what? Because if that was the case, who would send money. That's the only reason I can think of these people trying to scam. Otherwise, seriously what do they get out of "fake interviewing/fake hiring" these people?
Your data. Information. They sell it.
Ahh, okay that makes sense. I didn't even think of that. I was just thinking about these people saying these jobs are asking them to refund checks or something stupid. Like who the hell would actually send money. But, the other info makes sense I suppose
@@meagan-dq4fw It's a bad check. You spend the money at their 'store' and they get the money, bank error takes it from you.
@@meagan-dq4fwthank you this was my question too!
@@meagan-dq4fw With check scams, sometimes they will send you a check, convince you to cash it/deposit it on their behalf... it bounces, but your bank still takes that amount from your account. Not sure how that works if you don't have that much in your account, though.
I use indeed to apply for jobs but my resume is in private view. I don’t want random companies that I never heard of to contact me. If I see a company that has a job posting on indeed I check to see if they have the same job opening on the company’s website and I apply there. Still haven’t found a job yet.
Lmao you applied for a job from a company named TaskHustle 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lmao stop 🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Idk if they are naive or just dont have much job searching experience, but all my jobs ive have gotten through indeed. Yess there are a lot of pyramid schemes out ther, but i guess these new scammers just want your info social number addresses and etc... a little reminder if it seems to good to be true it probably is.
its a very old trick, i'm 30, i fell for it when i was 18....
Same here, I was targeted 6 years ago
I was 17
The second girl needs to get her devices checked out because she probably downloaded spyware or something
I went to the building it looked legit, but I started looking over the email and noticed that even in the interview, no one gave me their last names. there was not a say about hourly pay, they did not ask me about my past job experience, and the offices did not look legitimate.
The social media girl should be ashamed. She thought someone was gonna pay 100 an hour just to run their social media account....
People do that thought
I was scammed on LinkedIn, the lady stole my identity, I lost the rental property that I was working on because I needed a car in order to get there to work on my house and in order to keep the house you have to be actively working on the house through the land bank in Detroit Michigan. So the scammer tried to take my refund check that I was going to use to get a car. So I had to file an identity theft investigation through the IRS and I still haven’t gotten the money so I had to move to a whole new state in order to have a place to live. I was and still am mortified about this.
People have been getting scammed on indeed since at least 2013. I was almost scammed back then by a few diff companies and there as been no improvement? Something is fishy, indeed! 🤨
Thank you for sharing this information. Job seekers should proceed with caution. Some companies are engaging in data harvesting in order to sell your information. I recommend looking a potential employer up before submitting your personal information.
I highly doubt Indeed is in on it. They probably just have terrible data encryption and don't care enough to bolster it.
Who you telling I am a master of google I’m gone search every part of the internet and if it don’t check out I always go with my gut
I'm sorry if they have several rounds of interviews, something is weird already.
What I do when I search indeed for job offers listed I go to the official website to see if that job listing is posted and apply directly from the company’s site
I put in for a Security Job for Bank of America. And they said the Interview will take Place at the Boston Inn Hotel. In my City. Between 9am-5pm. Im like who the hell do Job Interviews at a HOTEL🤔 and its a Security job for a Bank. Something was off. And i didnt Go !
TURN YOUR INDEED RESUME TO PRIVATE as long as it’s private random jobs cannot find you also THOROUGHLY READ THE JOBS YOURE APPLY TO
wow indeed too… smh 🤦🏾♂️
Thanks for this video! I've been looking for work, mostly on indeed, and had no idea this was going on. Good luck to those looking for work!
I love getting these scam calls after replying to a listing and then youtube censoring my comments about it... Hope this isn't another one that gets sent to the void...
the girl that really thought she was going to be paid $100/hr with only a bachelors deserved to be scammed cause be fr 🤦🏾♀️😂 ain’t no way! You can barely get that type of money with a masters alone
Whenever they say zoom interview. I know its a scam!
Why?
A channel that INFORMS you? Subbed.
Crazy they got me they need to get sued people can have some real shady stuff happen to them with this bs
The last girl was at my old office building. The entire company went remote during the pandemic and we let go of the leases on each of our buildings. There is no physical office space at this point. If she interviewed with my company it wasn't a scam we just don't have offices anymore.
Do people know that when you put your resume on Indeed, other people can see it? I get emails all the time from "companies" offering me a job.
I have my resume on indeed it’s in private view. I don’t want random company’s that I never heard of contact me.
You can turn it on private mode
@@TherealMrsHundreds But does everybody know that? I feel like if you're simple enough to do multiple zoom interviews with a fake company, then you're simple enough to not know you're resume is public and everyone can see it lol
@@DavidKen878 true everybody doesn’t know. & their resumes have alot of personal info on them like address, phone numbers , email and your current employer for some ppl. Which makes it creepier. Indeed is Basically giving out free info about ppl to strangers.
Maybe this is just a thing that’s going on in the us as I’ve had multiple jobs where they didn’t show there face on zoom or teams meetings and I was in those jobs each for two years so you can take a job when you don’t see your face just make sure you search the company
Sucks I desperately need a damn job 😢 I keep getting offers to weird jobs where they want to send you packages and you resend them out like that’s not obviously a Damn scam 😂
Great video thank you for spreading awareness!
I had people texting me about jobs I never applied for. I went on an interview, but the guy was sitting outside at a table. It was really weird. I looked up the company. It was an Indian company with a few white people that worked there. I was scared that it maybe fake. I could not tell if the guy was in the US or not. I felt pretty weird because he had a huge smile on his face. I did have to live in a certain city. They told me to contact them again once I relocated to the city. I passed because I never applied to their company and supposedly they found my information on Indeed or LinkedIn. I didn't feel like Indeed or LinkedIn shows your number or does it? Or do they share your resume with everyone on the website?
Any job that says they bond together, take vacations, have have meetings all the time, make it sound promising when they haven’t interviewed you and they do group interviews is not worth your time because even if it were a legit company I’ve worked at companies that were just like what the first woman described and they are so unprofessional and unofficial and act like they are selling you something it’s not worth it.
This happened to me with an insurance agent job, a manager job and a travel agent job
I WHOLE HEARTEDLY FEEL LIKE ALL THESE COMPANIES ARE HELPING THESE CROOKS !!! FROM THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES ,, CREDIT BREUER & ETC ….
When they reach out to you, always manually search the company web address, go to careers to find the contact information for their HR, then call and ask about the posted position. You can verify if they are hiring for that position and who the recruiter is
I also got scammed by HB saying it’s a remote regional manager.. never got paid it was crazy for stupid assignments lost money and time
Indeed should be held responsible for not vetting employers
The young woman who said she gave them too much of her personal information when you give them yo name address social and address that’s really all they need and thats much period some job companies ask for social but it is volentary not a requirement but still be careful and use your common sense its there for a reason
