    i remember this i had a car ready then it got ran overe by a truck then i had a home fire and lost every thing i was working on... now i have a ofna 1/8 buggy n i just got a new turnigy edf motor n i found 37tooth m1 gears im gonna use for pinion... im hoping to do some thing bigggggggggg

  • @djphu
    @djphu 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Tito I have 2 chassis. One is a tc4 been using mamba 7700 and I blew that motor on 4s, I just blew my novak 3.5 velociti also on 4s. All running 47 pinion. My other chassis is a sprint flux and that has a 7700 mamba in there. The sprint I manage to hit 80mph on 3s with 71 spur and 34 pinion. I jus change the gearing on that and hoping it will get over 90. I jus put on a novak ballistic 4.5 550 can on my tc4 but haven't ran it yet. Scared to put 4s to that cause it's gonna smoke again.

      That body adds a lot of down force, so the magnets should hold fine.

    I get its built for a speed run but If you wanted to tone it down a bit for a touring track w longer run times can it be tamed? Trying to get some ideas for a build i have in mind

    • @yucahead13
      @yucahead13  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This kit was from Team Associated “TC5” and was heavily modified to do 1 thing…to go in a straight line fast. It can be switch back to touring but it is not going to be a easy process.

    Thank you for your response. Now I have a TB04-Pro from Tamiya, I will be running a Yokomo Zero R series 3.5T brushless motor, LRP Sphere Competition ESC and 3s lipo Orion Battery ( 4600 Mah, 90C ). Everybody says that I am crazy, my ESC will burn, the motor is too powerfull for a 3S lipo ... but I see many guys using a similar set including you when you did use a 9000 KV motor and a 3s Lipo. I hope my rc car passes 120Km/h with no over heating, please let me know your opinion. Should I buy a better ESC?

    Hi Titto, great videos man! I am thinking of buying a new ESC: Mamba Monster 2 or Mamba Max Pro. But before I am trying to find out if a Castle Creations ESC does work well with sensored brushless motor like LRP or Yokomo. I've heard the Mamba ESC decrease performance when you put other motors instead of mamba motors. Please let me know if you know something about it, I am not decided yet but I will use 4 or 5S lipo ( and I got 2 options of brushless motors: LRP X12 5.5T or Yokomo 3.5T ).
    Thanks

    • @yucahead13
      @yucahead13  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there Sil, if you are planing to do high speed runs, personally I will use a mamba monster or the Mamba XL2 and go the no sensor route because from experience sensorless is been prove to be faster above 4s. Now if you are planing to use anything from 1-3 cells I been using the Mamba max pro sensored esc with a Novak 3.5t sensored motor. Castle Creations has never disappointed me and of right now I have the fastest 1/12 scale running at 122 mph with a mamba max pro esc and a Novak 3.5t motor on 3s.

    • @micoleaodourado11
      @micoleaodourado11 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Titto Medina Thank you for helping me. I've decided for the Mamba Max Pro, just because the Mamba Monster won't fit in my chassis. I really wanna do some great high speed runs but I would have to spend a lot of money to do that ( buy another chassis, another motor, new batteries ...). I did burn my second ESC trying to put a 3.5T brushless motor on 3S. I was concerned about using a sensored motor with Mamba ESC ( loose some speed or burn it) but if you're saying I trust you buddy, you're the man, I go for it!

      You are going to make some adjustments to the front shock mount to properly use this body. You will also need to change the shock oil to 45w or heavier and change the shocks to the team associated gold springs on the front and gold springs on the back.

    35mph short of nickpaul case and you don't even have a custom streamlined body like he has awesome job I recently saw a $190 sec that handles 12s lipo 200amp if I see it would you want to know where to get it

    So which is it 150 mph or 153 mph. What is the more accurate way to measure? GPS or Ground base timing? Thank you in advance.

    • @yucahead13
      @yucahead13  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      xbladerunner In this run I used a GPS because Hobby King required a GPS for the Challenge and I also used the speed traps to make an official run for ROSSA. So it's both 150 and 153.

    • @xbladerunner
      @xbladerunner 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Titto which do you feel is the more accurate of the two. Thanks.

    • @yucahead13
      @yucahead13  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      xbladerunner Of course the traps are the most acurate. Those traps are the ones that we use in speed racing to make official runs.

    In your opinion what would be the best motor to match up with the mm xl2 so I can run either 6 or 8s lipo battery to get me close to 130 . Right now im running sidewinder 3 with the 7700kv motor and I went 78.

    • @yucahead13
      @yucahead13  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brian Pitt The motor will depend on how many cells you are going to run. You can be up on the 150's with only 4s lipo and a Mamba Monster ESC, but you need to have at least 2000 ft from start to stop and safety.

    • @bblack36595
      @bblack36595 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should I put this 4370kv turnigy trackstar motor with the xl2

      +playwithme30 If you are looking to get in the RC hobby just for fun, I recommend a 1/8 scale buggy from RedcatRacing.com and for batteries buy them from Hobbyking.com

    • @yucahead13

    How about the mamba max pro esc and castle 7700kv motor

    • @yucahead13
      @yucahead13  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I only use the Mamba max pro esc for 2s and the XL2 esc for bigger voltage. The 7700kv motor is too high of for 6s.

    • @bblack36595
      @bblack36595 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      So what motor should i use to get in the 100

    • @bblack36595
      @bblack36595 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would a 3.5t 10500kv motor on 2s or 10.5t 3460kv on 4s

    • @bblack36595
      @bblack36595 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which set up would get me closer to 100+mph

    • @yucahead13
      @yucahead13  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      For a 4s setup u need a 6700kv motor and for the 2s the 10,500kv motor should be ok.

  • @benkenny3220
    @benkenny3220 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you really need a spoiler at those speeds?

    • @yucahead13
      @yucahead13  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ben Higgins Yes! Spoiler is a must due to the fact that the wind increases in the rear due to the wind a high speed, it will help to keep the rear tires planted and with traction. That's why I like the Zonda Pagani's RC body, the spoiler is a perfect match...not too much and not to little spoiler.

    • @chadw4638
      @chadw4638 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Titto Medina its not just traction, but to keep it going straight

    • @yucahead13
      @yucahead13  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Chad W the rear side wings glued to the spoiler is what helps keep the car straight.
