Ingredients List-
3/4 Cup Chana Dal( चना दाल)
Water as required( पानी आवश्यकतानुसार)
Salt to taste( नमक स्वादानुसार)
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder( हल्दी पाउडर)
1 tsp Oil( तेल)
3 tbsp Oil( तेल)
1 tsp Cumin Seeds( जीरा)
1-2 Pinch Asafoetida( हींग)
1 Bay Leaf( तेज पत्ता)
3 Cloves( लौंग)
2 Finely Chopped Onions( प्याज़)
7-8 Garlic Cloves( लहसून)
1 Green Chilli( हरी मिर्च)
1 inch Ginger( अदरक)
2 Finely Chopped Tomatoes( टमाटर)
Salt to taste( नमक स्वादानुसार)
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder( लाल मिर्च पाउडर)
1 tsp Coriander Powder( धनिया पाउडर)
2 Pinch Turmeric Powder( हल्दी पाउडर)
2 Cup Spinach ( पालक)
1 tsp Garam Masala( गरम मसाला)
Coriander leaves( धनिया पत्ती)
For Tadka -
1 tbsp Desi Ghee( देसी घी)
1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds( जीरा)
1 Green Chilli( हरी मिर्च)
1/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder( लाल मिर्च पाउडर)

Thank you for the wonderful recipe. 💐💐💐Used to eat from a Sindhi friend's lunch carrier during lunchtime in school in the 1960s when I was in 2 or 3rd standard 😊😊😊 & always remembered it & desired to eat it. It never went out of my mind till date. What you have made is similar to what she used to bring to school almost everyday. Thank you once again for sharing this recipe which was always on my mind.
