  • In today's video I get a bike fit worth £500 on my Giant Trinity Advance Pro time trial bike from the guys at Foundation Fit. I discuss why I needed the bike fit and whether I thought it was worth the money.

Great video Lewis, I think you're right, £500 seems crazy money for a bike fit. I try and look at it like this "how much would you pay to cycle pain free" and that's probably more than £500. See you at Outlaw!

Thanks dude! The annoying pain that I’ve been getting in my hip I’d quite happily pay a lot more than that to get rid of it, so you’re definitely right! 😂 See you at outlaw mate! 👊🏼

TT bike is well worth the money , road it is not so much. Are bike fits in colorado are in the price range 250-400 dollars ,high end fit for racing is well worth it.

You have some of the same symptoms as me but I'm hesitant to spend the money on a bike fit even though I know it'll be worth it!

I know, I was the exact same hence why I spent months trying to figure it out myself! After getting a fit myself, the best place to start I think is getting the saddle height correct, and if in any doubt, go on the low side rather than high! Moving the saddle forward helped a lot for me as well, but I’m no bike fitter so my advice might not be best haha!

@@LewisFordham Hey, I am pretty sure this problem stems from lack of mobility in the hips and instability. Look for PAILs and RAILs for hip rotation. And also do Glute Medius exercises, which helps with the stability. After that, your "longer leg" should be in a proper place and the imbalances should go away. Good luck.

I do my road bike bike fit with them but when it comes to TT, I found either George Fox or MB were much more knowledgeable and had more specific experience.

Yeah they were definitely options, they’re both quite a bit further away so I thought I’d start here! Think if I still have issues on the TT I might have to give one of them a visit!

500 quid, and your foot still goes numb! Not worth it at all! I got mine for 150 on guru and after an hour worked really well!

Plus, you always leave a bike fit with more gear. Eg changed handlebar or different saddle. You'd leave the fit with another mortgage!

Yeah I sort of agree to be honest, I know my body had some limitations and whilst I do feel better on the bike, leaving with some small issues still for that sort of cost is a bit worrying!

A bike fit is always worth it. Amazing how good i feel on my bikes after being fitted.

Yeah I agree! A bike fit is definitely worth investing in, I was surprised how little differences can have such a big impact on a bike!
