I'm late listening to this one, but thank you, whoever submitted the Black Widow bite story. I've been there, done that, and spent a night in the hospital but like the storyteller says, their bites are not fatal (to a normal person) and there is no reason to get panicky about them. Plus they only bite when their lives are threatened. (The one that got me crawled into bed with me and I accidentally crushed her in my sleep.)
Omg the third story... as he's describing sleep paralysis with the faint buzzing/static-type noise, it gave me chills. I haven't had it in forever, but I ALWAYS hear that buzzing noise and not only can I NOT move, but, eventually, it's almost as though the buzzing noise overtakes me, I get pins & needles, numbness and start feeling as though I'm being... well, electrocuted (and I have been before, so I know the sensation) in these spurts - on/off, on/off... until I eventually pass out. It's awful, and I've never heard anyone else describe that before.
I've had really bad bad episodes of night paralysis since childhood. (Tho thankfully adulthood they are further & further in between! Knock on 🪵!😂) But I've never felt like I was being electrocuted like u do. That sounds COMPLETELY HORRIFIC! Have u spoken to your Dr about those specific sensations & how u kinda pass out when u can't take anymore? Bc it almost sounds like you're having a seizure in the midst of your night paralysis. But now I'm really worried for u, friend!
Anytime I’ve had a paranormal experience, and I’ve had a wide variety of them, I have heard that buzzing or static noise. It actually caused a phobia of bees. So I got hypnotized, and was asked when was the first time I felt such fear and heard the buzzing. I recall it, I was two years old, and a pale face with huge black eyes was staring at me from the edge of my mattress. I also saw a shadow man with a wide brimmed hat and trenchcoat when I was 13, was frozen and not able to move when I stomped up to him thinking he was my brother. Then I noticed the sun coming up through the window in our back door. So, if it is a mental problem or actual effect of paranormal events, I understand what you experienced.
The first story he kept saying we at the end...and how he paid the rent and we will never get over his scar...so sound like he became a couple with the guy

Listening to this story made me feel like I wasn't alone, but I'm sorry that they had to have someone actually prey for them in the night. QuQ
nobody likely entered her room. sleep paralysis are closed-eyed hallucinations, despite how vivid they appear. I suffered from it during my twenties and confirmed myself that my eyes weren't actually open during episodes, when my closet door was open during one and shut when I woke up.
I fell asleep to this!!! Ty for having a soothing voice Joel!!!! I'm gonna go listen to another story and try to get back to sleep!!! Gdn Joel!!! Sweet dreams!!! 🤗💙🤗💚🤗💗🤗💋
I had something similar to sleep paralysis once. I was sleeping when I started dreaming about being outside in the sunshine playing with a bunch of puppies, laughing, feeling good, when all of a sudden I woke up lying in bed at my house to find a man standing beside my bed. He was wearing a mask which had gold outlines around his eyes and mouth. He was holding a huge knife, the blade of which was being hit by moonlight, or was glowing for some other reason. I was terrified but was unable to reach for my own knife which was on my nightstand behind a lamp because I couldn't move. I then woke up to find the same man I had been dreaming about standing beside my bed holding a knife. He started to advance towards me , once again I couldn't move, talk - nothing, I could only stare at him and wait. I then woke up for real, unable to move and scared about what I had just been through. I had had a dream inside a dream. I was scared to go to sleep for a long while after that.
I’ve had sleep paralysis where the figure watching me has been people I recognised from my life. Not saying the lady in the story is not telling the truth but sleep paralysis is so complex you just don’t know.
And she could have been sleep walking this whole time and not know it. Scary, wake up and stuffs moved around or different in ur house, only to find out it was you. After years of thinking your shits haunted af 🤣😂🤣. Setup the nanny cam like "wtf? I sleep walk?!"
I was pretty skeptical of that. I feel like the sensation the blanket being pulled off would be enough to wake her up. I've had sleep paralysis a few times and focusing on nosies around my house helped wake me up.

The second story is why you don’t bother with warning shots. It may sound callous, but even ignoring the fact that you can potentially be charged with reckless endangerment for firing a gun blindly, it also instills confidence in your attacker that you’re not willing to actually shoot them. I’d especially make that argument when you’re attempting to scare someone who’s crashed through your front yard and is currently tearing apart your chickens with his bare hands. You don’t see real police officers firing warning shots, and for good reason. If you pull a gun on someone, you’d best be ready and completely willing to use it. You don’t shoot to kill, but you do shoot to neutralize the threat (meaning you shoot until they stop advancing towards you or attempting to harm you).
On story #3, it's not very likely that the man actually entered her room. Sleep paralysis, even though almost always including a hallucination of where the person is sleeping, is in fact just that, a closed-eyed hallucination. This has been thoroughly documented, and I can confirm it myself as someone who suffered from sleep paralysis for several years in my twenties. I heard this from someone while talking about my episodes, and looked it up myself and though that was the general consensus I didn't believe it because the hallucinations of my bedroom were so vivid. But I did eventually confirm it, by seeing my closet door open while I was experiencing sleep paralysis, and then waking up to see that it was closed. I even once had a similar experience to this girl, of my roommate with a wicked grin inside my room approaching me during an episode, something that would be out of character for him to the point of absurdity. I understand why she thinks it happened the way it did, the hallucinations are extremely vivid, but I highly doubt it, and that very well probably was just a kind neighbor.

How fucked up is the US that you have to contemplate calling 911 because an ambulance will cost a couple grand? And that’s on top of all the other medical bills you’ll get. In countries that view people as humans and not walking dollar signs, the only cost you worry about is parking.
I used to have sleep paralysis and involuntary astral projection frequently. It completely stopped when I stopped sleeping on my back. That's it. That's the cure. No need for medication.

I ENJOYED IT A LOT
Love your voice 💕

Amazing intro!
How fucked up is the US that you have to contemplate calling 911 because an ambulance will cost a couple grand? And that’s on top of all the other medical bills you’ll get. In countries that view people as humans and not walking dollar signs, the only cost you worry about is parking.
Love the last story coz it has a cat in it. 🐈♥️
Yo dim intros be bangin
