Shipsterns with a sail= Suicide. that is oneof the craziest waves in the world. that thing braksand forms a barrel inside a barrel with a lib that is as thck as the wave is tall. the pressure alone of that slab landing on you will burst your eardrums. I get nervous just watching the footage of that place.

Sorry, IMHO, when your gear winds up on the rocks and you have to get pulled back on a jetski, I don't consider that riding the wave, more like "being ridden." Gotta make it out and make it back to your launch spot. Otherwise it's the Walk (in this case the Tow) of Shame. No doubt Jason's a great sailor and got cojones of steel, but he gets an "incomplete" for this session in my book.

NIce video. Watched Jason for several decades. It's amazing to me that anyone surfs Nazare but, to sail into it....just awesome Jason. Respect.

forward loop off the section that formes at the bottom of the wave that makes most surfers free fall and wipe out :D
