What's that awesome sounding bass-reverb thing (I don't know how else to describe it) that keeps happening throughout the video? Not knowing is killing me! 😂
I had to listen to this about 10 times before I remembered how to talk. I got goosebumps when Geoff started out, then my hair stood on end when the language changed. I think everyone killed it! Geoff's arrangements are brilliant and keep getting more and more complex. I can't tell if he broke the B0 record, but holding those low notes for that long is just amazing. And Eli's and Omar's high Es were spot on. Fun fact: that mail shirt Cesar is wearing is real and weighs 20 pounds.
@@ShyAnn291 this is the translation Dragonborn, Dragonborn, by his honor is sworn, To keep evil forever at bay! And the fiercest foes rout when they hear triumph's shout, Dragonborn, for your blessing we pray!
I understand that the language used is Dovahzul ("Dragon-Voice"), the Dragon Language or Dragonish. Not being a gamer I know nothing about it myself but the words can be found online.
It's a fictional language that a good portion of the game's plot and gameplay is centered around. Dragons dragonborn (people born with the soul of a dragon) and a few people who spend years training can perform magic by speaking words of draconic. "fus ro dah" referenced in the video is the default "dragon shout" that the player, the world's only living long prophecied dragonborn learns first.
@@catwhowalksbyhimself Thank you. Yes I managed to find that much online :) And the game looks great but I don't have the necessary equipment to play it.
Great reaction! I too would love to know how they did that deep base reverby thing. It reverberates around in your chest and just makes you want to grab a weapon and step up to the line. Beautiful song!!
I can imagine. O so many decades ago, my street sister (miss you, Edie!) was deep into D&D and RenFaire. Coming from across the Bay she'd park at my house on the edge of the City and we'd take public transportation downtown. One day she send me out to the car to retrieve her forgotten chainmail shirt. Ignorant me reached in with one hand to grab it out of the trunk and nearly fell in. I was not ready for the weight of her real metal, hand made piece of armor.
You guys just make me so happy that I'm not the only one that stopped 20 or so seconds in. It's way too good to not hear some parts over again. Thanks for reaction. 😊❤
This is one of your reactions in which I totally agree with you on everything!: it is an epic arrangement, the voices of Omar and César merge very well (although I think Eli is also singing there), Eli's high notes and the end full of energy and emotion. I had never heard the song but, presented like this, I loved it.
You guys are so awesome! I love your reactions! Isn't this video amazing? They sing beautifully, of course, and I love their makeup and costuming as well 💕. Fantastic!

I know u sang this song before but I suggested it to Jeff hoping it would b just him but doing it with the rest of the gang I like it even better and glad yall love it to and ps ur welcome
Oh I shouldn't have watched this. Now I want to reinstall Skyrim, spend weeks modding it, then not playing again. Its time. This is the most Halo Ive heard Skyrim sound.
It looks like you guys are reacting to the preview version, so make sure you go back and watch the public release (especially the "Fus Ro Dah!" part) because they added in some extra effects ;)
Yes! I have seen the public release several times, so I didn’t even realize that the preview version we reacted didn’t have those VFX for Fus Ro Dah! 🤣
What's that awesome sounding bass-reverb thing (I don't know how else to describe it) that keeps happening throughout the video? Not knowing is killing me! 😂
It could ever be a either a growl slide down from Geoff or a kick drum sound from Layne with MASSIV reverb on it.
Same here. I've been wondering this for almost a week now. Need to ask it on their next ask me anything video
If I am correctly identifying what you are talking about, I think it's Geoff.
@@natebaker3672 Yeah, maybe we should! 😆
@@cynthiaross9438 I assumed it was Geoff too.
Nobody does the arrangements better than Geoff & Layne & nobody does it better than Voice Play.
They’re masters of a cappella music! 🤩
I know that Eli arranged their Eleanor Rigby and I believe it to be up there with the best. but not better. I don't know if he's done any more.
The language is Dovahzul. What an epic song they created here! My chills won’t go away!

Yeah, Draconic is the Dragonborn language from D&D.

Nah, he hit a C1, just checked it with a piano app on my phone. That's 1 note above B0. still pretty low.
They really went all out on this video! 🤩
That opening is a G#1 to a C#1, a nice way to start.
The Dovahzul sequence was unreal. My hair stood on end when I realized what language they were singing in. Absolutely amazing.
And those harmonies too, weren’t they lovely? 🎶
Is it a language that’s in the game?

This is an amazing video , Cesar's costume weighed 20Lbs so he had to lay down to take a break in between cuts

Hmm, the lowest note I heard was a Bb0. I may be wrong, since it was SO low.
The lowest note in this song was a C#1, which was Geoff's second note
@@huldradraco, I went back and listened... and you are correct. Those super low notes, it's hard to tell sometimes.
While editing, I would try and sing Geoff’s notes (usually 1 octave higher) and see what shows up on a tuner app 😛

True that, they were amazing! 👌
The main melody is actually not originally from Skyrim, but from TES III Morrowind, and later IV Oblivion.
