Old school trick I learned working on an old tractor. Fill the tires with Castor oil then top off with air. Adds a ton of balance, and weight to help you counter the float.
Cleetus, you should’ve made a floatable attachment that hooks directly to the OEM 4.5” pipe. 16’ of flex pipe connecting the two. This would allow you to drive underwater with no stress to the pipe, it could move with you and wouldn’t pull on the pipe creating gaps for water to get in. The top would just float on top of the water as you drive under.
Came here to suggest the same thing, think it's called flexiduct aluminium hose, the semi rigid stuff - a length of that with something buoyant attached to one end. Probably quite pricey, maybe for mk2 Hummarine?

There must be a muffler shop somewhere around that he could have bought a stick of aluminumized steel exhaust pipe from. X2 on lumber. 7/16 osb is up to $63 per sheet. Luckily I got about 50 sheets of it for free last year since the kit building bathrooms we built for a campground came with lots of extra. I'm glad I hung onto it, even though the price was only $27 per sheet at the store when I got it free. I used it to rebuild my garage. $7 each for 2x4s is just crazy.

One year, during the middle of summer, all the saint augustine was dead so I watered it for a few days. It came right back. That is some tough stuff!

Guy pulled up at the shop I worked at today with a H1 with a Duramax swap. It was so freaking awesome. The 6.5 is suited for the underwater driving but Cleetus should consider Duramax swapping Humfree after this. Good luck on the underwater travels. It was a LMM out of an 08 pickup.

Hummer. THE vehicle that followed me through 20 years of my automotive engineering career at Lotus Engineering (where we built a test tank to run the Hummer under water. Sound familiar?) doing the engine development, Structural Testing Services to do the suspension durability testing, SMTC where we did Modal Analysis on various variations that exceeded the original load specifications, and Chrysler where I had the original AM General phone number - I got to know the folks servicing Hummers "in the field" like the Middle East during Desert Storm. LOTS of broken Hummers that needed parts and hookin' dem up with those supplying them. Have fun! LOTS of work went into making Hummers the BEAST they are today......
You should weld a check valve or a ball valve in the bottom of the exhaust so if/when the exhaust fills with water, you can just pull it out and it would drain on its own.
So cleetus, you've probably heard, the channel ProdigyTV is also doing an underwater Humvee. The only logical step to this, is to hold an underwater race. Winner is the king of Humvee subs.

It would have to be very sturdy flex pipe as it could get sucked closed like the rubber part of the intake and stall the truck out.

I think the exhaust should have a 180 on the end so that it can only blow air out and let no water back in if it gets submerged
So like under the sink or toilet.
