I love how every now gets all the attention it needs. And that the techniques are picked according to the musical direction that was chosen. It makes it seem so effortless. Smart playing, I love it.

Et quel archet...
I'm all in favor of fifths tuning, and it's impressive how Joel gets up into the high registers, but . . . what's the point? This is like watching an elephant ride a tricycle. He never touches the lower strings. He's got a gigantic, beautiful contrabass instrument and he's running away from it.
P.S. This is not a criticism of Joel!! It's a criticism of the available repertoire.
