Route 7 on the list of test driving routes in Folkestone. This one takes us on a circular route around the outskirts of Folkstone, down to the harbour and back into town before returning to the test centre.

Very interesting : it is a rehearsal for me, as I will be driving through Folkestone this summer. I went there several times (almost once a year), but it is good to remember how to manage properly the roundabouts and crossroads : the first danger comes from the right side ! Cheers from France.
Ah yes - driving on the opposite side of the road than your used to can always present some problems. You would laugh at my trying to navigate roundabouts in France 🤣
@@drivewithcare_uk But I think the worst in the UK, with my French car (steering wheel on the left side) is overtake, even stationned cars on the left side of the road. I must trust the passenger (my wife) ...

Hi! I can’t quite make out 10:45 . You bear left and then go straight across. Is there a line for you to stop for traffic or can you just drive straight to the give way line?

Hi. Just as you said. I turned left to leave the road I was in, but as I was driving across the island I immediately hit the give way. There was nothing coming from my left so I didn’t wait, I just continued driving. Had there been something coming I’d have waited.
Tram Road used to be one-way in the 60s/70s if I recall correctly. Am I right or wrong? 🤔
I think you’re right. I wasn’t around in Folkestone until 2014 so I couldn’t say!

Wear Bay Road - you can drive in the cycle lane, it is the safest position, unless a cyclist is using it. Then safely go past the cyclist out of their lane. 👍🏻
