During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

my dad got this car like 2 months ago, and i am a huge supercar/tunercar fan and hate hybrides BUT this one is absolutely sublime! it looks good, it's comfortable and still pretty quick! so never ever buy a prius before you've driven this

If Lexus made this into a hot-hatch it would instantly be a classic. It's so beautiful exterior-wise but that's not the case under the hood (unless you're an MPG person, more power to you if that's what you want).

It's an nice car and I think people would like it. Most luxury cars often use premium gas which is more expensive than regular gas...and most surprisingly, the Smart car is a regular car which is inexpensive, but uses premium gas. The CT is a luxury hybrid and uses regular gas, which is cool.

Bought in May the restyled model!
Pros: it's very quiet, very fuel efficent, eccellent interior build quality, "funny" sport mode and I expect it to be reliable.
Cons: painfully slow and the CVT transmission drives me nuts when I want to drive quickly

Haha I went out and test drove one of these after seeing this video. Might impressed! I would compare it to the Mercedes A Class, but visibility was so much better in the Lexus.

Niclacoste I think because their other cars are substantially larger than the ct, therefore the grill looks ungainly. Case in point, the nx.

It is a beautiful, smart car to have as a dream car. Fuel efficient, and a hot hatch. It will feel sluggish if you are coming from a sports car with 0-60 in 6 seconds, but not as sluggish as say, a honda hybrid (ignoring the original accord hybrid where it was used to increase acceleration).
I hope they get their dream car. I'm actually considering this as a commuter with a FD RX-7 as the sports car. I've had several FC RX-7s and a couple RX-8s, and a couple Civic Hybrids, among many, many other cars in my life.
I will say, the Lexus feels a little tight inside if you happen to have a wide framed body; ex: my shoulders are about as wide as most normal house doorways, so if you are an NFL linebacker, it might not be comfortable, or say, NBA star either; but for most people, it is a fine suitable car and they are becoming quite affordable today.

Lexus should offer this car in a sport variant for those speed enthusiast and a hybrid for those wanting good fuel economy and a combination of both for those who want to a mix of performance and fuel economy. I guess there are people that have their own needs.

My dad has a 2014 black Lexus CT200h. The only difference between my dad’s one doesn’t have the screen and the mouse and it’s not the F Sport Trim.

Dunno about the USA, but in Europe this might make a lot of sense for company car drivers. Short Version - you get heavily taxed on the amount of CO2 your car emits, and fuel is rather more expensive than it is in the USA. Therefore if you're a company car driver and drive big miles this might make perfect sense.
It's nice to see a Hybrid that isn't a bland as a Prius, but retains it's low running costs and tax efficiency.
But.... It's too pricey. Then you look at the difference between the F-Sport and regular CT200 in money, it's big. And the spec isn't that much higher, although the styling is much improved.

yes, but notice he distinguishes it by highlighting the fact that you can lock/unlock without having to press a button on a key fob.

How much does it cost
The worst bit about this car for me, is the running gear is a straight transplant from the Prius. It works in a Prius due to all the lengths (e.g. lightweight, aerodynamic etc.) Toyota go to make it sip as little fuel as possible, but in a heavier more luxurious chassis and making no changes makes it a bit of a dog; Why not just tune the ECU to eck out a tiny more power, like ~150hp combined? Or keep the 1.8 litre but take the stronger/bigger electric motor from that Camry Hybrid?

The overall horsepower rating is a little disappointing when you hear its an f sport. Although the gas milage is fairly impressive

You would get the F-sport just so every teenager wants to stop light race you. You just don't actually race them, because most cars on the market are faster..lol
kma198199 Ha, it's the slowest in it's class sadly. But it looks sorta nice for a hatchback and it's sorta good for teenagers who's foot heavy :P
I suppose, people get the F-Sport CT200h for it's looks. Unfortunately the CT already has a firm ride, and an F-Sport only makes the ride firmer. Another thing I have recently noticed, is that the CT actually turns heads. Most people don't care for its speed, they rather look at the badge and the quality interiors. The F-Sport would be a great car for posers, or people who like to be flashy.

Hybrids are killing the movement away from gas. All electric is where we should be at. We should have been there 10 years ago...
The only ones who have cracked the electric car idea is Tesla. I think that's why we're not heading there.
If we only had fully electric cars they wouldn't go as fast.

flexor212000 fully electric cars are very expensive, not very fast, have a small range, take 8-12h to charge. The money you spend on the cheapest electric car that can do over 150 miles would ne enough for a mustang gt and enough fuel for 50k miles. Plus that the process of building an electric car causes more damage to the enviorment than a regular car. Hybrids are a kind of compromise
