my girlfriend committed suicide 2 years ago and games like Minecraft and rdr2 are the only things that got me through that time in my life. im very sorry for your loss and i hope that youre doing better and are better for it now❤️
Personally I think the life is strange games tackle the theme of grief and struggle well, each game does it differently Both the first game and second game do amazing at it The second one stands out for the aspect of the fact you play as the steady figure for your little brother in that game, you are struggling but you have to be strong for him. Grief is a hard thing, and having to greive and help comfort a younger family member at the same time is a painful thing, that I think most people neglect to think about. This video is very nice, your voice is extremely calming
Omori is such a beautiful game, I got spoiled and the ending didn't hit me so much at first but through time passing I cried thinking of the ending. I'm sorry for your loss too.
thank you very much, omori is indeed a beautiful game, i've replayed it (i think) 4 times at this point, and each time the emotional beats in the story still hit just about the same, and sometimes they work even better with the knowledge of the full game in context
My condolences I hope that we can build a tight knit community where everyone is welcome and share a little of their burden with rest of us so they feel a bit better ❤️ Honestly the video was beautiful ❤️🩹
a couple weeks before Love Yourself 4830 posted his playthrough of OMORI, i lost one of my closest friends to suicide. Seeing his video popping up on my FYP inspired me to replay OMORI, and doing so helped me with thinking things through. That being said, i believe representation of these things in media is so important, and playing games to help with the grief is more helpful than people think. Thank you for sharing your story and posting this video
I haven’t stopped thinking of her since hearing the news. All the memories that I have of her comeback to me, and sometimes it gets to me. My condolences go to her family and friends, I hope that she has found peace. Thank you for making this video, we will miss her and I know she would want nothing but the best for us 💕
she truly had a presence like no other. funny and silly, but still disciplined and focused on a whole other level, she was just genuinely an amazing person, and i miss her every day
Video games are also midia. The same way you may watch a movie or listen to a song so you can go through grieving, you can play a game. Games are a form of art and expression both from the player and the creator's point of view.
that is true, i just wanted to make this video to highlight the benefits that i believe gaming specifically offers to the grieving process, (such as interactivity, just generally being therapeutic, and allowing one to talk with others during the grieving process) its not to say that other forms of media cant help either, as movies and youtube essays have been very helpful for me too

May she rest in peace. Now she can fly high and watch her friends and family.

This video was beautifully written.
I’m SUCH a huge omori fan and honestly, the fandom is so kind (and goofy) I’m glad to have such a great community. Also I recently subbed!
Great video, I’m glad I’m not the only one who uses videogames to think
