Great video Omnistar, I love the soul and character of this song It's something that you can only hear in Soviet/Russian music. The dark and mournful undertones combined with 80s rock music and the effects of the time make this style of music worthy of being a separate genre of music all it's own. Thank you for bringing this music to us, and may your channel grow to a million subscribers and beyond.

This song goes through my head right now as each of these cities falls to the Taliban. I am sure right now a lot of Soviet vets of the Afghan war are looking on and saying "Well, we told you so!" and a lot of US vets going yeah...you were right
At the same time its sad to see basically 30 years of war for nothing
Its also stupid to know that the Soviet propped up Afghan government actually lasted 3 years and outlasted the USSR itself, yet the current US-created government is not even going to last 6 months.

In contrary to the Soviets pulling out of Afghanistan, I feel sad for the Americans & NATO as their farewells were less of a parade and more of a Saigon style evacuation. An utter chaos in the aftermath of the fall of Kabul. Soviets soldiers had time to celebrate in their barracks after Gorbachev gave televised statement of the withdrawal and even a fully planned parade with flag banners and flowers to go with it.
On the other hand, the Americans had to pack up in haste at dead of night without informing their Afghan allies, or even took the initiative to evacuate all remaining US citizens in Kabul. And they had to witness civilians making desperate last ditch attempts to hold onto military cargo planes in hopes of escaping the country. In all, I can't imagine how the US veterans are feeling after seeing such contrast from the Soviets in this video.

Russians and Chinese embassy diplomats stay here and they are protected by Taliban.
Afghanistan after 40 years are full of western guns so probably it will be bought by anti-zionist movements around world.
Russian federation and China will economical cooperated with new government as exchange for removal opium fields and bring stability of course those countries got afghan natural expensive resources like lithium and uranium.
Afghanistan will be reconstructed by Russians and Chinese.
I wish Afghanistan and his nation finally peace!

Sorry but that is utter bullshit. The Soviets tried to maintain control over a communist puppet state like they did in eastern europe. The Soviets never cared about the well-being of its subjects, that´s why the eastern bloc collapsed. The western intervention was a mistake, but it had different intentions and did not broke international law. In fact, there was even an UN resolution for this intervention.
The western allies built up a modern society, the living standard had risen by 10 - 20 years, children had access to school. Withdrawing was a big mistake, and we can thank Trump for that. He thought naively, that you can negotiate with terrorists and exclude the very governement, the US is supporting, from these negotiations. The biggest mistake was not the intervention itself, but the withdrawal
