We're having this issue and online it seems a common problem 😅 it just started flashing for no reason and beeping spiratically out of nowhere 🤷♀️ the universal resistors didn't work on our relay as they are too low a resistance 🙈 so searching through the forums I found that the Citroen uses 3.3ohm resistors which I'm now waiting for by post 😉 gonna give that a spin and see if it that airbag / seatbelt light stops glowing at me mocking my efforts 😅😂 were the same - the clocks ticking and got MOT in a few days... its worse for us though as we live in our van 🙈😂 if all else fails I have to send off the airbag ECU as it may have a fault in it 🙈 apparently this is the most common problem with these vans... 🙈 I'll post an update about the resistors ive ordered for others who have the same problem... thankyou for your video - it helped me understand how resistors work and got my head into gear x
In their single seat on a newer relay, there is an orange plug. I’m wondering if this is where I would place the resistor. Having a bit of a nightmare!
Hi Ray, glad you liked it! Thanks for checking our video out and subscribing, we really appreciate you doing so. We're almost at a stage where the conversion should start gathering some real momentum now. Next video, painting the van a different colour with a roller. The colour clue is in our channel logo. 😊
We haven't sorted it yet. The old one is still tucked away under the seat. I do plan on properly sorting it but it's not high on the list at the moment. We're both desperate to crack on with the interior! Thanks for watching and subscribing. We're really grateful for your support. 😊👍💙❤
@@PilgrimPods Just to be clear did you just take the old pretensioner off the old seat and leave it connected as it would have been and it worked? I've bought the same seats after seeing your video and so am expecting the same issue! Great videos and Soooooooo helpful for me starting out! :)
Would the airbag warning light issue cause engine to go limp mode ?.....I put in a swivel plate ..I did disconnect battery etc but when I put some sleeving on the cable under seat the warning light and message saying airbag see handbook ...I am worried as someone told me van may go in limp mode 😩
Nice fix , but what was the resistance of the resistors please, and maybe a link to the smaller ones would be handy also for other in the same position, Great build
Left it in the end to concentrate on the campervan build. With this temporary fix it got it through the MOT which was the whole point of doing it. Once the build is complete I will be returning to it to sort out a better solution though. 😊👍
I know it's been a while since this video was released - but that van has a gross weight - when fully loaded - of 3.3t. When empty it is somewhere around 2.1t - and as the van was clearly empty, that's what should matter when raising it on a lift. I have the LWB version which is about 2.2t empty.
Not any time soon sorry mate. The build is kinda on hiatus while the Euros are on. I'd imagine the answer you're looking for could easily be found on a van build forum or Facebook group, that's where I found the advise for the resistor and what one to use. Good luck and hope you find what you're looking for. 🙂
Hi Wilker, I've thrown a link in the video description for the ones I've used. I tried some others but these were the ones that worked for me. I hope it can help. 👍🙂
Good video! I have a van similar to yours (Ducato L1H1) which allegedly has a kerb weight of 2t. How is your van 3.3t? My MOT is due next month just hoping to avoid same situation you had. Cheers
I don't know mate, it just is. 😆 I never knew the smallest version had a lighter payload but I guess it makes sense as the MWB is 3.3t and the LWB and XLWB are 3.5t. Good luck with the Mot! 🙂👍
Bargain on that van. We bought a 2006 Fiat Ducato SWB low roof in June. The older body style. 85k miles, good history. Bit of rust to sort though. £2k. So I think your van was a really good deal!
Cheers George. To be honest with you the van was bought on a whim because of the price. People were put off by the paint. We had a big holiday booked for April as a sort of late honeymoon and then intended to get a van when back but this was too good to pass up. The MOT test only confirmed things. 😊 We just wished the mileage was closer to your 85k! 😁👍
I've said it before and I'll say it again you got an absolute bargain with that van. Really looking forward to seeing how you'll tackle the paint.
Seems to be the case but we'll see! Hoping to roller it this week after work if the rain does one... 🤞Thanks again for checking our videos out!

Thanks your van is coming on great. I am just starting out on the same journey keep up the great vids
Best of luck with your own build. Fingers crossed our paths will cross on the open road! 🤞
Hi pilgrim have you got a link for resister please
Hi, have you got a link for resistors
In their single seat on a newer relay, there is an orange plug. I’m wondering if this is where I would place the resistor. Having a bit of a nightmare!
Thanks for the video! The link in the description doesn't work anymore, what resistance are the ones you have used?
What is the resistance of these devices ?
hi there do you have a link tryed the one on video but no match thanks Brian
Really enjoying this.

did you sort the pretension issue or have you left the old pretender under the seat

I don't understand why it would. Mine certainly never.

1.8
HI - did you ever sort out the driver side issue or have you left the driver pretensioner plugged in and with the belt buckle clipped into it?
Left it in the end to concentrate on the campervan build. With this temporary fix it got it through the MOT which was the whole point of doing it. Once the build is complete I will be returning to it to sort out a better solution though. 😊👍
Hi Any news on a fix for this yet please

hi, is it possible to measure and pass the resistance value. thanks

@@PilgrimPods as long as it's looked after, you'll see 250k easily.
Fingers crossed mate! 🤞😁
No way that van is 3.3 ton. Maybe fill Laden but not empty.
Great video! I hope you'd like my videos too. Keep up with your fantastic work!
Thanks Kiana, we'll definitely swing by! We appreciate you taking the time to check us out! 😊
Return to dealer...let them deal with this piece of shite
get to the point mate
Yeah, not quite as snappy as our later content. All a learning curve though. 🙂👍
