AD08R is (was) the very best tire I've driven last 30years! Now I've got the AD08 RS on my EVO IX...... Sadly... just sadly I can say! In opinion to his ancient AD08R there is very bad drive feeling! Best all round tire & would say the ultimate street tire..but yes there are much better tire than this on track but the progressive & steering feedback by AD08R till today (2021) makes u feel like a champ! It's not just about dry traction like a few eg RE71R or RS4 would be 2/3 secs quicker but not same on wet but like said AD08R best overall & it's not semi slick like the equivalent competitors..& they last alot longer than the rest rivals.. my personal champ tire..:)
How come the AD08R is so popular in Japan? Almost every Option video and tuner seems to use them and popular performance tyres people use in Europe never appear. Also the AD08r is in my opinion a tire you can really use every day, not like other semi slicks which are useless in the rain and every day driving but still they use the AD08R. Even if the reason is Yokohama / Advan is so big in japan, what about the A052? Is the AD08R some kind of bench mark?
