- Day 1 Itinerary: Yerevan
📌Early Morning:
• Departed early morning from metro station Dubai to Al Ghubaiba Station Dubai.
• Took the Air Arabia bus to Sharjah, departing at 09:30 AM.
• Arrived at Sharjah Airport at 10:10 AM.
📌Morning:
• Completed baggage check-in.
• Had lunch at the airport lounge.
📌Afternoon:
• Checked in for the flight and boarded the plane at 01:00 PM.
• Flight departed at 01:30 PM.
📌Late Afternoon:
• Arrived at Yerevan Airport at 04:30 PM.
• (Note: If taking a visa on arrival, this process may add approximately 1 hour, so departure from the airport might be at 05:30 PM).
• Purchased a SIM card at the airport. (You can get eSim also)
📌Evening:
• Departed from the airport at 06:30 PM (because we were 40 people so it took another 1 hour to wait for rest of them) and reached the hotel at 07:00 PM.
• Checked in to the hotel and rested.
📌Night:
• Went out for a walk and had dinner at KFC.
• Returned to the hotel at 11:30 PM and went to sleep.
This itinerary outlines a smooth travel day with enough time for relaxation and a light exploration of Yerevan after arrival.
📝NOTE:
Visa Requirements: Check if you need a visa before traveling. Many nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival or an e-visa for Armenia.
Currency: The official currency is the Armenian Dram (AMD). It's advisable to carry some cash for smaller transactions as credit cards are not accepted everywhere.
Language: Armenian is the official language, but English and Russian are also widely spoken, especially in tourist areas.
Weather: Armenia experiences four distinct seasons. Summers (June to August) are warm, while winters (December to February) can be cold with snowfall, especially in higher elevations.
Local Customs: Respect local customs and traditions, especially in religious sites and when interacting with locals. Dress modestly when visiting churches and monasteries.
Safety: Armenia is generally a safe country for travelers. Exercise normal precautions and be aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded places.
Transportation: Public transportation in cities like Yerevan includes buses and taxis. Renting a car is a good option for exploring rural areas, but roads can be narrow and mountainous.
Food: Armenian cuisine is rich and diverse. Don't miss trying traditional dishes like dolma, khorovats (barbecue), and lavash (flatbread). Tap water is safe to drink in most places.
Etiquette: It's customary to greet with a handshake and maintain eye contact. Tipping is appreciated in restaurants (around 10%), but not mandatory.
Remember to check for any travel advisories or updates before your trip. Enjoy your journey through Armenia!
