7 year old boy put 6 feet deep in a 5 foot coffin, wondering what 4. And 3 grown men have 2 drive by, dodged a couple of bullets but 1 This is the part of the poem that stuck with me the most.
This documentary changed my life and showed me an outlet to vent my depression and anger. We watched it as a class in the sixth grade and the teachers gave us a chance to have our own poetry slam. Later two men from this documentary came to our school to watch us perform our poetry and I was told personally by one of them to never stop writing.
Like everyone else, we watched this in AP English. This is honestly the most powerful and memorable part of LTAB. I remember after this part played the teacher paused it and the room was completely silent and almost everyone had tears in their eyes. Absolutely brilliant piece.
My school watched this documentary when I was in 7th grade. That was more than four years ago. To this day, this poem still moves me every time I watch it. I will never forget these words
