This is probably the best way to model a shock absorber in Solidworks. I also made mine like this and it's worth the extra time learning how to make it taught me a lot of new features in solidworks.
Perfect tutorial Im sure it will help a lot of people
That's impressive.. Specially the movement of the spring at the end of the video... Great thanks...
NICE TUTURIAL!!
You get a new suscriptor
really awesome
i hope you can make tutorial about oil/lubrication system inside of the shock absorber, thank you
Which version of this solid works you are using?
good work
What settings do you use to get this metallic appearance on your models?
Real View
Hola, como hago para que ese tipo de imagen se vea en mi solidworks?
I don't have that thread option with hole wizard. What to do?
How did you make tge metalic appearance on the parts?
Hey I want to know that how is your spring moving up and down ...??
My spring seems to fixed at that position only without any enlargement in length
Ultimate Solidworks Tutorial I am having same problem. Could you fix it? Please reply at gauravkumarbarik@gmail.com.
Hi. I study at university and I would like to take a shock absorber model for my project. Do you have a drawing of this model with all the size, etc? I would be very grateful for that.
Tengo una duda . El resorte en verdad es un resorte detro del programa , es decir , en realidad tiene sus propiedades de resistencia o solo cumple la.forma de parecer un resorte ?
Can I make this using 2015 version of SOLIDWORKS?
hi thanks for epic tutorial ,
i noticed that you rotate camera some way that is very smooth when mating objects.
are you using any equipment or tool or some key for that? it would help me a lot
Indeed. He is using a type of 3D mouse, maybe the 3DConnexion (the one I have)
@@Ghost-ro2oy thanks a lot for your answer
Hi, I am SolidWorks 2020 I can't seem like I can reference the line for the spring to the height of the actual spring. Is there another way of doing this?
Did you do it?
Hi there thanks for this great video however I'm stuck at 42:23, for some reason when im trying to mate the two surfaces with parallel mate as you did it's not allowing me to, all mates are geyed-out, anyone can assist. Thanks in advance.
Hello. Make sure that those surfaces are flat. If it still doesn't work, try to apply a coincident mate between Face plane of Part2 and Right plane of Part1. This should solve your problem
WHAT IS THAT WINDOW ON THE RIGHT EDGE OF SOLIDWORKS, AS THE ACTIVE???
Also there was no error when I changed the dimension to 2 mm as done at 59:00 min in the video.
Genial
Where did you derive the dimensions of the shock absorber from?
bro please share the link of dimensions
for practice
Are these dimensions are real for normal car?
please upload pdf also
may I ask what "fit spline" is for?
to combine all lines and make it a single line.
Thanks!
Spring doesn't move up and down after moving the upper part and clicking on rebuild. How to fix this?
Please suggest sir.
Hi, do you solve the problem?
Make sure to use the reference points on Part3 and Part4.
Sir, Can you send the Pdf of shock Absorber with proper dimession
part dimensions with details want to draw alone bro
hahah i copy you but it so hard because you is edit part and edit assembly many times. So i can't make copy assem part you

Hello, thanks for you comment, but can you exactly specify what is not accurate so I add it as a note or correct it
