Jerry Garcia lives on and is loved forever for his amazing style, feeling, tone and authenticity that simply cannot be replicated. The man was amazing, voice and guitar as one with the universe.
Well, that's just ok. Thank you trixxxyz for sharing this. Thanks to the whole cosmic universe for letting me run across it now. I think I might just figure out how to put it on repeat for awhile.
only 150 micrograms and this beautiful old tune has got me like the flower blossoms on the warm spring breeze. and all in the comfort of my own mountain. Thank the heavens, nature, and my man Jerry for putting the infinite at the fingertips of the family. may peace and joy find us all
in 1974 Traffic's Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys has proved its groove's grooviness to a lot of ears starting in the 10:10 to 10:40 range it starts to feel/sound to me as if the band's temporary mission in life has become deliver the smooth funk mood and instrumentation vibe of that Low Spark of Hi-Heeled Boys jam with this song/chords as vehicle
@@magiceyes530 I'd forgotten this was here until yr comment brought me back to it I saw Merle & Jerry play Keystone Berkeley maybe half dozen times in mid-'70s I actually like what Jerry was doing with Merle even better than the Dead, tho' way far from any complaint about what anybody was doing there ... & comparing is of course silly there were some VERY weird characters at some of these shows that I can still recall anyway, thanks for the reminder
@@magiceyes530 just noticed what appears to be a 30minute version here it is in case you haven't already heard it (& as a reminder to me) th-cam.com/video/4IzpUaFIggg/w-d-xo.html
so far my favorite after 2/9/74, as it's very balanced with the jamming..every one is getting in there equally and in a very soulful, balanced way..just feeling it and riding that wave of musical energy so righteously..I only prefer the previously mentioned version because of Jerry's amazingly heartfelt vocals; when he sings it, you can hear the heartbreak in his voice, and I love how Fierro does such a solid backing sax part all the way through..not to mention Merl's super cool liquid organ playing, and the way Kahn and Bill provide such a solid base for it all..but I must say, this version has such a nice flow to it..the build up with Jerry and Co., climbing their musical mountain, and arriving to see the most amazing panorama..just perfect! LOVE LOM more than anything else out there, I always come back to them time and again..this song just touches me more than any other as well..thanks LOM!
either title works for me but it seems Freddie Scott and his record company disagreed did a youtube search for last train to jacksonville & another search for this title & got Freddie Scott Are You Lonely For Me Baby either way
Thankyou .
